I find these standardized test only give a small part of the picture of an athlete. Yet there is so much emphasis, focus and exposure put in them that I guess teams follow through. It would be good to see though the correlation between doing well here and having a great career. It sure has great drama which makes for great media attention
Precisely. To me the combine is only an expression of some aspects of a player's individual athleticism and technicality but the correlation between combine performance and having a great NFL career is arguable.The combine is not football, it's drills in a very controlled environment.

I'm sure American football players have the best physical abilities. They are fast, powerful, and flexible. Whatever exercise you do, you will do well. And sometimes I think I want to be like that. So I exercise, but it's hard to be like them
