hi
Hello, I'm from Germany and we're writing a test on Wednesday (6.12.23) and we have to practice the Gerund... Thanks to you, I know it now
If you have any prob on Gerund, you can check on english education with understanding yt channel. I learnt gerund from there..
I look forward hearing from you
"Look forward to " is a phrasal verb. The "to" in look forward to is a preposition. So it should be followed by a gerund..
I look forward to hearing from you is the correct answer ..
👍👍👍👍
Hearing se pahle to nhi use hoga…
@@AbhishekMaurya-hi5bw hoga kyun ki"hearing" ek gerund hai, "to hear" infinitive hai jiska matalb ki to ke baad verb ka base form use hota hai. Lekin ye jo" to" look forward to mein hai ye ek preposition hai aur preposition ke baad humesha gerund use hota hai infinitive nenhi . I hope you got my point..
We say gerund as a noun after preposition we use noun in gerund form.
Ex- he is habituated of drinking coffee. Here drinking is a noun in gerund form. Gerund is another way to say as noun.❤❤❤
to always carries the Verb 1st form , here u are using thr fourtj form of verb
I learnt a lot from your channel last year,so i am repeatedly say one thing that your video is always supportive and inspiring for me.may you live long and stay healthy ma'am.
kon kon aisa karta hai jo word acha laga bolne mein wahi answer ko choose karlete hai😅✌️✨... ultra pro legends 🎉

Bro ilets bhi aise hi ki he
Kuch jyda hi sach bata Diya broo 😂
I look forward to hearing from you.
S
'to' is a preposition here, so after a proposition we should have gerund.
Look forward to
With a view to
Addicted to
Accustomed to
We use gerund in all of these
Verb+to is infinitive right? , do correct me if I'm wrong
To+verb is infinitive
@@mamtasuthar5861it’s actually to+verb (eg:to help) if you say verb+to it turns out as “help to” use it as an example whenever you forget it
I look forward hearing from you.
From Bangladesh..
Hearing
I look forward to hear from you
Sorry but it's wrong
Yup
Yup
I'm looking forward hearing from you
Look forward to hear from you
I look forward hearing from you.
The correct answer is "to hear" because before is an adjective, (maybe). After an adjective, we always use an infinitive, which is (to + verb). Edit 1: Thanks for 7 likes! Hope we can get more!
✅️ to hear
To hearing aayega
tri
Nahhh to hearing answer hai (forward adjective nhi adverb hai)
@@stranger_0701ha forward ek verb hai adjective nahi hai to hearing aayega
Look forward to plus gerund
Look forward to hearing
After prepositions, normally gerunds are used, and 'to' here is not the infinitive marker but a preposition.
I look forward to hear from you...
Pls correct if I'm wrong...thanks a lot👍❤️🌹😊
After "look forward to" we always use "ing"form of the verb
@@bijumv7886Using the gerund after to is acceptable in this case but it doesn’t appear in the video’s possible answers. Therefore the answer is I look forward to hear from you
I look forward hearing from you 😊gerund is the answer ✅✅
Ture
Isn't it participle??😅
@@pankajjha1255 No, It's a gerund
@@Itismita654 ya I see,I am not really good in grammar 🥲
@@pankajjha1255 Actually, the correct preposition to use in this context is 'at,' so it should be: 'I am not really good at grammar.'
Look forward+ Gerund is the ✅ ans.
I look forward to hear from you ❤
Forward is an object know that's why
'Look forward to' is a phrasel verb.
Don't segregate that 2 words
@@rutujakadam7469 it means I can't understand
Look forward 👈 these two words are connected here and create a phrasel verb .
Just google it and you can have better meaning and explanation about it
I look forward to hear from u
I look forward(adverb) to hear by you!
It is false
It must be hearing not hear
Because after look forward to use gerunf not infinitive
Definitely, it should be gerund after I look forward to, so it's hearing
Plz bring a detail video on gerund, finite non finite verb
I look forward to hearing from you again.
I look forward to hear you 🙉🙉
It is correct when you say: always stop + ing. Because you can use stop + to +verb but it will have another meaning.
Stop +ing means give up doing something. In this case no more cola.
If you say I stopped to call you, it means you were doing something but you stop for a while to do something else (in this example)
Too useful ..great Ananya.. Thank you
We say, I look forward to hear from you because forward is also an adjective, please correct me if I am incorrect.
Forward, here, is a phrasal verb, hence, part of the verb look. It's not functioning as an adjective.
I look forward to hear from you. Please reveal the correct answer. I am eager 😮
look forward to hearing
@@bothainahalim2194 Okay, got it 👍
What I have learned -: Grammar rules 1. after stop + Gerund( V+ ing )and 2.After adjective + Infinite( to + V1)
😂😂😂
So the ans. Will
Correct Answer: I look forward hearing from you..
Even that's incorrect look forward to hearing from you is the correct sentence
@@sushmitatiwari1307 Oh Okay It is added with "To" Thanks dear for correct
@@ganeshgadekar9234 you're welcome 😊
@@sushmitatiwari1307That’s not the video’s answer, the correct form here, is I look forward to hear from you
@@roger-yt-192 it's incorrect in the video I look forward to hearing from you is the correct sentence
with all due respect you can use an infinitive form after the verb STOP, but its meaning is slightly different, to illustrate: I stopped to have lunch (you stopped doing whatever you were doing to start having lunch - a completely different action)
I never got grammar in any language😂😂 it would take me an hour to just figure out where's the adjective in the sentence.
Hearing
😂😂😂hhahah
Ss😂
Is there adjective to
Do you know what an adjective is? Adjective is a word that modifies or describes a noun or pronoun. In the sentence "I must stop drinking cola because it's unhealthy to drink cola", the noun is " Cola" and the adjective is "Unhealthy". The word unhealthy is telling us about the quality of the noun which is cola.
CORRECTION: it's not true that we must always use a gerund after STOP.
Yeah,
I stop to drink (gonna drink)
I stop drinking (being)
True, not always.
Not true always
You ar definitely right .
Her intention was to explain gerund vs infinitive only
i look forward to hearing from you 😂
I must stop to drink would mean stop and drink
😂😂😂
lmao
Stop + ing
After adjective we always use 'to + verb'
Ronaldo : I ain't saying anything but cola value drops😂
Kaun-kaun Mere Jaise sirf answer dekhne Aaye Hain😂😂

@@rithikroshan9624it is our mothertongue

Could you please comment the correct answer?
I am looking forward to hear from you😉
Yeah it’s correct because we can’t say to hearing
And they never talked again😂😂
