    ***** About Venison for Dinner *****
    Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our five kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000 miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. Theres plenty of failures, you’ll be sure to see those here too. We’re a homeschooling family who believes life is the best teacher but we do hit the books in winter. I’m so glad you’re here, I hope you stick around!
    We put out 2 new videos every week! Wednesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

    What a great idea putting it in the bbq! (It reminds me of people storing baked goods in the microwave.)

    Great video, but you need a humidifier in that house. It’s not just about your skin being dry, it’s about keeping enough humidity in the nasal passages and lungs, throat, etc. I sing for a living, I have a whole house humidifier in the middle of my living room, and it works very well.

    • @VenisonforDinner
      @VenisonforDinner  Рік тому

      We have one! I just have genetically dry skin...

    • @davidbrucemusicvideo
      @davidbrucemusicvideo Рік тому

      @@VenisonforDinner actually, there is no such thing as genetically dry skin. What you’re talking about is actually essential fatty acid deficiency.
      Also, I figured you did not have a humidifier in the house because you told us that the humidity was something like 20%. I play music full-time for a living, around 200 shows a year for the past 25 years, and I have a lot of guitars out. I keep the humidity in my place anywhere between 50% and 54%, according to the recommendations of the acoustic guitar manufactures.

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I’d like to use this for my toddlers face (4-6 year olds). Is there an EO you’d recommend to stay away from or use for face. My son has nosebleeds and moisturizing his nostrils helps a lot especially in the winter.

    • @VenisonforDinner
      @VenisonforDinner  2 роки тому

      I would stay away from citrus as it can cause photosensitivity.
      You could get beef fat from a butcher, render yourself (I have a YT video on that) and make a salve for your son. Or look up Toups and Co online. They have great organic products for your skin.

    I just made some to use for a hand/teat cream (because I may have just impulse purchased a milk cow on the coldest week of the year😄😋😍). I have an old crock pot I use for waxing my bee frames and I used it to melt the tallow then cooked some rice, skim milk, and pumpkin in the crock pot with the last dregs for the dogs. Then no leftovers going to waste or clogging the drain.
