I have tried about every example on UA-cam… the I finally figured out… let the stump dry out for a year… drill a 1-1/2” hole 10” I to the stump… light 30-45 mi ute road flare and drop it in the hole. It will burn the stump and the roots will slowly burn for 2-3 days sometime I leave you with a nice tripping hazard
This doesn’t work very well. What works better is to dig out around the stump a little then drill a few holes close together in the middle, as deep as possible then as far down as you can get on the side, drill in from the side to connect the holes and turn the stump into a rocket stove. The more you burn the larger the center chimney gets, and you can add fuel to it to keep a hot fire burning in the middle. Heat is your friend, as you must dry out the wood that is being fed moisture from the roots underground. You want to clean the ash out and drill farther down whenever possible, hopefully you will eventually drill into dirt under the roots. Eventually everything above ground will burn and you can then backfill the hole. It still takes a lot of time… Need to put up a sheetmetal heat shield to protect that fence:O Want instant gratification, hire a stump grinder…
I got a 16 inch spade bit and I drill 5 holes from the top and 5 from the side and it worked a lot better. It only took 5 hours 😅 but the whole thing was gone.
Tips: - Place a metal plate (heat reflector) between the fence and stump to prevent damage to the fence. - Get rid of sticks and leaves around the stump for safety - Replace kerosine with a slower burning oil - Use a longer drill bit
Knew an old bloke who'd stuff the holes with a past of sulfur and Kerosene. cover it for at least a month wetting it with more kero then light it it smouldered away for days but the stump and roots were totally gone.
@@garrysingh3337 Right, that’s what I was thinking. Roots underground are green and very moist, as well. PLUS there isn’t much oxygen, if any. I do suppose that stranger things have happened!?!?!?
Yes sir I just did one more thing, I cut the top and bottom out of a 55 gallon drum set it on top the city of Bradenton Florida said I can't have an open flame so I put a grill top on 😂😂 .
After watching your video, it appears, to me, that your homemade, extra long and extended paddle bit, that you welded up, really just didn’t like the thought of boring down into that tree stump and ultimately decided to give up and let go on you and not last very long!?!?!? That really would suck!!!
Personally, I would have left it and made a nice table, planter or seat. You could do anything you wanted around it, build a deck or pour a concrete patio. It is kinda pretty. ✌🏻🤍
Fill holes w/Rock Salt & try to burn following yr. Rock Salt dries out & dehydrated roots to kill them off also. No goog getting rid of stump, when hundreds of tiny trees will be popping up all over your yard.
Next episode. How to replace a privacy fence that mysteriously caught fire 😂

My thoughts exactly 😆😆😆

I love the peaceful music as we light things on fire
Very witty, however, it happens.
I love how the music is nice and calm relaxing yet there's a fire and no after picture
It's a TV series, one of the first episodes, there's a stump and there's another video of me trying to delete it. I'll show you it soon
I tried this out while I was out in California. Gotta say, awful idea to do in the Forrest.

now we know who started all those wildfires. He's right here officer
And not only in Forrest

Well, the whole world has changed, the apocalypse has come
The government did that. A dozen fires across an entire province don’t coincidentally start at the exact same minute.

The stump I have has a really big hole in the middle of it .. will that work
The hole is in the center of the stump
There are many ways, but they don't matter. The stump is still standing
Next episode is a trip to the emergency room after accidentally drinking what looks like water from that container
I'm sorry to hear that

- Place a metal plate (heat reflector) between the fence and stump to prevent damage to the fence.

Just thinking about how sometimes wildfires travel underground for many miles between the intertwining roots of trees.
I saw a horror movie like that, it was scary.
Add mushroom compost and add some mycorrhizae powder and water that tree stump and it will compost.
That's right, it's better than burning a stump
I'd get arrested where I live.
This is a joke method, don't be afraid, the handcuffs will be plastic
Here's an idea: Don't do this. Ever.

The exact answer

Thank you, removing a tree stump is a problem, there are no simple ways, perhaps yours will be more effective.
You only need to drill 2 holes to turn that stump into a rocket stove.
I know
This could cause a root fire!
First you need to burn the stump, but it does not burn
you had me at kerosene!
Me too
I want to see what it looks like when burns out!
Please, here is a video of what happened to the stump after the kerosene: ua-cam.com/users/shortspRKE60NpLUA

Underground root fires can get quickly out of hand.

Very dangerous if root fire continues to burn and reaches a nearby structure from underground.
really the roots underground will burn without oxygen?
@@garrysingh3337

This little fire will never ever get no where near hot enough to do that I promise.
Next to a fence😂😂😂😂😂
Use charcoal and a barrel or trashcan wit bottom cut out and bout 2 weeks it's gone and the roots under ground
OK
Just grind it dow less dangerous
The shoots from the ground will still grow
Salt once a month for 6 months
Kerosene vs. Gasoline?
Yes
And 10 minutes later when the kerosene burns away, you have a hot stump and scorched fence.

Ummmmm maybe make sure there isn't a power line or a gas line under/around that tree...
