Chef AJ, you said a mouthful. I visited a clinic for a UTI. The nurse took my vitals, and the doctor sent me back to the lab because he did not believe my numbers. Our med schools are wanting.

I agree about the mushrooms. I don't care for them either but try to eat them now and then.

It is just crazy that Doctors do not get nutrition training in Medical schools.
Every doctor visit should include some nutrition discussion. The majority of the population is over weight or obese leading to high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Schools and hospital cafeterias should be leading the way to good health by setting the example of what is a healthy meal and teaching people what to eat and why.. Every person in the hospital for heart disease should have a nutrition class before being checked out from the hospital with follow up education and training in nutrition. Medicare and Medicaid should require patient nutrition education as part of their standard of care. Nutrition information should be run on the hospital TV channel.

Yes! Please do a part 2. 😀 I didn't realize what this topic was going to be or I would have submitted my blood question to this Dr. His explanations were very helpful.

Dear Chef Aj, you look incredibe, your skin is so beautifull and youthfull. I have got the feeling sometimes that vegan makes me age a bit faster, makes me insecure, a lot of vegan friends of mine do look older and weaker than normal people? Thats so strange. A video about anti aging vegan would be awesome or better getting younger as a vegan❤

A quick observation for Dr. Harrington, if I may :
Consider taking money/payment/sponsorship/endorsement from the “Mushroom People.”
We are losing people left and right to the industries that have grips everywhere.
I study corruption. I respect corruption.
The answer to corruption is not “no corruption.”
The answer to corruption is “better corruption.”
Go get paid, my man 👊🏼
Taking all your advice, as well.
    Thank You 🎩

I am plant based/vegan and have thrombocytopenia prior to changing my diet, but my platelets have dropped even more and I'm worried. Why do I have thrombocytopenia to begin with?!

    • @sharonoflondon3365

You’ve probably seen them, but there are some lists of specific foods to eat to increase platelets (and we can ignore the carnivore ones, of course).

Vertigo - the most common cause is ear crystal in the "snail"/cochlea, at least according to the web. My MIL had it for years, very debilitating as you know. The small crystals can move around when YOU move around. She took some homopathic med, on t.v. I saw a clinic that actuall turned the woman so as to get the crystal to "roll" out. I do not remember, if it fully went away.

Such a great presentation :) very well-answered questions too :D Dr Harrington is so nice :) And Chef AJ, it drives me crazy too when people say that they are SOS when they mean SOS-free xD I wonder why people think it's without the "free" part ^^ thank you so much

The question aroun d min 37 about going on the s.o.s free diet and waking up after 4.5 hrs??? I bet she is hungry. Two days ago I didn't feel like eating again (teeth already brushed)... after a few hours in bed, I was awake and hungry/that empty feeling. I didn't eat until I really had to get up for the day.

People need to take personal responsibility for their life and health.
The general over all health of people has declined the last few decades.
Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences.
There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese.
What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications.
Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks.
Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods. Being thin is a sign of good health. Being over weight or obese is a sign of bad health. Poor diet, lack of exercise and obesity are contributing to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

The tests for Haschimoto thyroiditis for example - very specific and your doctor must know how to read them. My girlfriend finally paid out of pocket for them - bingo. Just a comment on a viwer comment on thyroid test.

    • @jgrysiak6566
      @jgrysiak6566 Рік тому

The test usually shows up negative in the Doctors office but most people are low thyroid because of low iodine issues. Iodoral 12.5 tabs do the trick, only avail online. Don't take kelp or eat dirty seaweed, Iodoral is made from rocks.
