At least they took the efforts to machine out the threads. Theres once i was in India and got some pipe fittings for a project, and the male threads were sand cast finished 😮

I can appreciate these workers for their amazing labor, but it breaks my heart to see such lax safety and so many other standards not followed here in the 21st century. Quite honestly, this is how a factory would've looked in 1900 in some countries; even earlier if the electricity wasn't there. Indeed safety costs money...but it pays for itself.

Нестабильность сплава (отсутствие точных пропорций при малых партиях, примеси), отсутствие контроля на каверны отливок, химия уровня "Шива-индастриз гарантирует", и которую эксплуатируют, пока "на глазок по цвету всё ещё нормально", ручные инструменты и прочая означают нестабильность качества, гуляющие размерности и припуски "на глазок", со всеми вытекающими. Нормальная автоматизированная линия может делать то, что делают эти индусы - намного быстрее, несопоставимо по стабильности результата, и даже не особо дороже. И в масштабах, на порядки больших. Раз уж вы упомянули Grohe - можете погуглить "How Its Made! Grohe Production". Но самое главное не это. Я представил, сколько в суде у работодателя в стране с нормальным трудовым законодательством могли отжать рабочие, которым предложили бы такие условия работы, как в этом видео... Таких исков никакой Grohe не перенёс бы! Я понимаю, что индийцев много, и их не жалко, сотней больше-меньше - незаметно, но всё же...

If you look closely you can see severed fingers and missing eyeballs among all the scrap and detritus on the dirt floors. No work stoppages allowed.
