They're grinding carbon into a slurry mud. Extruding essentially a billet. Pressing the billet into the shape of a crucible, then firing the crucible. When cooled enough they removed the finish crucible then label and pack them.
No they are surprisingly low effort in this video. They can be made by 1 person with enough effort. But the real 99% graphite crucibles are too hard to be made by people unfortunately. Only industries can make them as they require a lot of pressure.

They're used to smelt mettle and for other metallurgical and chemistry applications that require burning to high temperatures. Usually I've seen graphite crucibles break after one or a few uses. So, you need lots
Crucibles are used all over in the steel, brass non-ferrous metal industries. But for most non-ferrous technical metals (aluminum, magnesium, titanium, manganese...) there really is no alternative of getting the metal from the ore by the use of electricity. Unfortunately smelting of the ores requires also very high temperatures, meaning you can't use copper for the smelting electrodes, which is why almost all electrodes for technical metal smelting are also made out of graphene & required to be so (the only option would be metals like tungsten, but it's not quiet good enough at conducting electricity).
Угольные тигли для выплавки металлов. Упаковка реально достойная. Жаль не показали как они потом это транспортируют. Наверняка мешки валом на телеге...
If Close Enough did not work the product would not work and the factory would close. These products are sent all around the world. They are not parts destined to be parts of machines - they are sufficient for purpose.
I fail to see how those products could be made more precise, in a realistic and relevant manner. Emphasis on relevant... Of course, some inspection to find eventually manufacturing defects, would be welcomed, but I am not sure this is even possible, or needed.
I buy these, they do a great job. I didn't know you guys worked so hard. If I could put $5 into the account of one of these people every time I bought one I would.
That’s more than they sell one of the crucibles for which would be $3
Considering the price these sell for around here, I'd rather make them myself for my own use.
What? The big ones (not the biggest) cost like 50$ lol
can u tell us where to buy ?
Thank you noble workers. You make the products we all need, under challenging conditions.

Porque estes homens trabalham sem luvas, óculos, botas e máscaras?! Será que não tem amor a vida?!
What are they using as base material? Is it graphite? I did not know it could be turned in such a paste

Great video.
What is this muddy material from which the crucible is made.
