F1 Teams JUST STARTED a MAJOR INVESTIGATION Into McLaren’s ILLEGAL CAR After Azerbaijan GP!

- ■ McLaren has been the team to beat ever since Miami and while the top teams managed to do that on a couple of occasions, the Woking-based squad is the one that leads the constructors’ championship after the Baku GP. But the win of Piastri didn’t come without its controversies, as there is footage that shows a bit of ‘bending’ on the rear flap of the wing that seems to be much more compared to what the other cars were showing. In a combination with the accusations of the flexi-front wing of the MCL38, could the Woking-based squad find themselves in more trouble from the FIA and if so, can this have an effect on the remainder of the 7 races in 2024?

RB should start development on a box of tissues, they gonna need it...
if it was mercedes crying , like it has been , it would be fine, but its Rb so its crying cuz they are losing, 0 iq point of view as per usual
Ah, were back in the 80s. Everyone is building stuff where no one knows if it's legal, Except the FIA, but not telling anyone. On the one hand this sport is so over regulated, on the other hand most of the teams are left in the dark of what's allowed and what's not, until the pioneers go too far, but claimed their winnings.
As soon as the rest bring bendy wings they will be banned
Love it, watching everyone crying. Mclaren are cheating even when the Fia has deemed it legal. Does anyone remember the F duct 😊
Both wings were retested passed the FIAs tests 100%. They aren't going to rule change this for the rest of this season. It's also unlikely they'll change it next year because 2026 changes are expected to deregulate the wing requirements further.
In 2021 Redbull introduced a flexible rear wing in Spain, it passed static tests but was later banned and removed by the FiA. “ 3.9.9 - In order to ensure that the requirements of Article 3.8 are respected, the FIA reserves the right to introduce further load/deflection tests on any part of the bodywork which appears to be (or is suspected of), moving whilst the car is in motion.”
The FIA informed teams in mid 2020 that it would be changing the tests for these long before Hamilton complained. They doubled the force in the tests then and made some concessions in terms of timing and flex for teams to produce new components once the rule changes were in effect. I stand by my prediction that nothing can or needs to change prior to 2026. It's not "cheating" if the car passes the rules. The rules states the amount of flex allowed under testing at points along targeted body work. It does not however explicity state or measure that difference in race conditions. It's much ado about nothing.
If it's within the rules it's called pushing the boundaries. All engineers should be doing the same, within the rules.
Isnt the first time that Mclaren is cheating, so wouldnt be the last..
I recall my school day parade & the cycle race. I thought 1-3rd was guaranteed, but the guy who won it bought thinner tyres than mine by an inch, importing them & won the race.
Q. Was that cheating, cleverness or competition?
Clearly they are cheating front and back .
Question is why are fia doing nothing about it
Maclaren too good too quick. Off course bending the rules.
So what youre saying is that mercedes' prime for 8 years was all just cheating?
maybe the other teams should innovate more instead of complaining to the fia all the time as the rear wing has been approved and passed the safety tests
You must be new to f1....
We need less rules... just a crashtest you have to pass and maximum and minimum car dimensions... let them do the rest
Wait for Austin to get Flexi wings for Ferrari and RB. Same rules for everyone !
Rules are the same. Team engineering capabilities ain't :)
At this point just watch a spec series. The teams develop cars and make it so they can find as much speed and performance out of them as they can, while staying inside the rules. Mclaren have tested the rear wing for hundreds of hours, if they thought it was illegal, and wouldn't be approved by the FIA, they wouldn't implement it. Stop saying they have an illegal car just because they were smarter about making it than the other teams. We get that your favorite team or driver isn't winning. Don't try to make so much drama because of it. Be happy the season we have is as interesting as it is, and shut up. You all are annoying
They said it’s legal so it doesn’t matter.
So semi drs is allowed hope ferrari gonna use it next race
Bruce #41 RIP would be proud....A young man in Timaru NZ afflicted with polio built an Austin 7 Racing car?????The start of McLaren ...Amazing .......What is it with New zealanders????Earnest Rutherford..to Bruce to Rocket Lab..is it the roast lamb...
When every teams bring their flexi wings then McLaren will be a mid team again
You would wish... wouldn't you? 😄 You should brace yourselves however... with lots of tissues and antidepressants 🤣
@@alensabanovic747 mclaren fan boy found, replying to every comment calling them out,HAHAHAH what a fucking loser,
Defo too good to be true
Man stop crying McLaren knows the grey lines it's good teamwork wnd engineering stop crying because your team is slow and not good enough
I'ts just regular Ferrari copium...
@@alensabanovic747 exactly
Cheaters never win
Red Bull has won and they are “cheaters”
Wait you’re a Red Bull fan how can you say cheaters never win yet pretty much Red Bull have been “cheating” for years.
Cheaters.... I don't care who says what. Cheaters!!!!!!
Fully agree
Mclaren have been allowed to get away with cheating
So mercedes got away with cheats for 7 years?
You sound like a person working for RedBull... 😂
@@cindie24 Or Ferrari... xD
Red Bull holds the trophy for the most cheating allegations in the history of the sport.
@@joshtheking1772lol what? Rb cheated you mean the budget thing? Which was what 400k? Dude that aint even the price a frontwing, much so a upgrade for a car, unlike Mclaren with the spygate, or ferrari multiple occasions and Merc with that PU, which they lobbied for with lightyears head start on the rest of the competition, and yet you dare too say RB cheated the most shows you youve been watching F1 for the last 3 years dumbshit.
Extra brake duct cooling, flexible front wing, and the rear wing. No wonder their tyre deg is good, and the all around setup does fine anywhere.
Exactly. Others should do it to, and then there would be no need for crying and pointing fingers at others :3
@@alensabanovic747 that's why Ferrari and RB raised flags about it with the FIA.
Idk if that is true let’s wait
😂 wait for use your eyes
You do know video exists of them using drs on their wings when they are not allowed to right? No? Okay cool story bro 👍
That's just witch-hunt. The MCL38 is just okay. The other constructors should level up!
They have a slower DRS top speed than others but a higherr top speed ... very simple if you know anything about cars
You do know video exists of them using drs on their wing when they aren't supposed to right? Nevermind they went from fighting for last place with Williams less than a year ago to winning races. 😂
@@hendrivanwyk7471 If you know anything about cars, then you know they simply have less drag overall... but since that does not suite your narrative... you go for DRS cheating ;)
@@tylerdurden4006 There is no such video. Using DRS means opening the flap on rear wing by central mechanism. Such video, does not exist ;)
@@alensabanovic747 You are proving him right.... with less drag you get a higher top speed. stop being dumb ;) less drag=higher top speed. wing flexes>less drag=higher top speed with no drs. Keep being dumb online and proving others right
LOL
An illegal car
hahahaha.. the audacity.... Remember 2019 Ferrari engine.... how many points did that illegal engine got them???
