Glad it helped! I've never tried a delayed auto-locking, but I don't think this lock has that. This one is basic for a keyless entry, but it works great and lasts forever.
Hello. I followed your instructions for a factory reset. Then I tested some codes. I entered 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8. If memory serves me, after entering this code, it beeped about 5-10 times. It my deadbolt is not operating properly. I've tried another factory reset, but after 30 seconds, it beeps about 5 times and I get a combination of red and orange flashes. It never tests which side the lock is on.

I think something's wrong, you should be able to lock it from the outside but pressing the lock button (just the lock button not the code). If you were able to figure it out please share.

I'm sorry I just saw this, I would say try to set it back to factor settings. If that doesn't work then you'll probably have to contact the kwikset support.
If you reset to factory setting doesn’t that set the default code 1234 to unlock? I remember seeing somewhere that all of these lock have that default out of the box.
Why in the third step, I restarted and restored to the production settings. Go back to Step 1 to reset your password. The front is normal. Finally, when you go out, press the door lock button and the alarm will always flash red. The lock 🔒 cannot close the door.😅

These are hooked up through an app, I believe (I personally do not use the app). You may be able to connect it to Alexa through that :)

You add codes the same way each time. If you repeat what I showed you two codes will be programmed.

With 2 numbers on each button does it know the difference between the two?? If not it seems like a random pattern will unlock the door..
It is a pattern. Numbers are for us.
I changed the batteries in our lock it has not worked since could it have lost all of its codes when I took the batteries out?
