Very nice idea for the video! Very creative! It shows that they're very specific in their use. I personally liked the meanest analog - triode. Volca FM sounds brutal, but that's too much. Volca Kick is the 2nd contender for me. Seems like very interesting minimal / glitch machine
Thanks for your voting! In fact, the synths are all very different and for the video I tried to select sounds that reflect these differences. In case of the volca FM this resulted in a rather brutal metallic sound, but the box actually can sound softer.
Sounds very cool. But with the "jam" aspect it was really hard to tell which was which- all mixed very nicely and not at all helpful with regards to making a decision. :)
Real dope! Been trying to get my hands on a Triode but every time one is up I got no funds. That Triode also has an editor for some extra features... But it's all about that Sub on it.
Thanks! I like both, but the rocket is more flexible: many (digital) oscillator settings including fixed chord, sync and super saw modes, external audio in, overdrive and a bit more variable (and steeper) filter. As unique features the volca bass has three (analog) oscillators, which can be tuned independently and a sequencer.
I'm not sure whether I would be able to distinguish analog from digital oscillators in general. The volca bass can produce very 'warm' and lively sounds which profit from slight detuning of the 3 oscillators. These sounds are impossible to achieve with a waldorf rocket. But as indicated, there are many sounds that you can produce with the rocket which are not possible with a volca. Whether you like these sounds is another question.
Thanks! The POs are fine but without midi ... In Europe the Rocket was below 200 €, at least for some time, a bit more at the moment. But in the US I guess it was never below $200, sorry!
bioseq I might have to buy one because they sound awesome. I just ordered a meeblip anode for my MC-303. I was using the Behringer D but wanted something I could travel with easier. No worries mate! Great video and a solid jam. I was just thinking they should release a PO with midi capability.
Fantastic sounds bro
Cool vid! Rocket are best!

Many thanks! Don't understand why they do not produce the little red one anymore - very unique sound, the Sub is really great!
@@bioseq No kidding. I did check there site recently and they got some new things coming out.
@PSN ONE yes, it seems that this little noise maker isn't dead: "In stock for a limited time!" 👍
I vote for the Meeblip Triode :)
Thanks for your vote!
Cool video got volca bass looking at mam😉
Yeah, many thanks!
sounding great! how does the volca bass compare to the rocket?

No pocket operators?? And when was the Waldorf Rocket before $200? Awesome video and jam though.
