    It’s a bit unfair on the 50lb if you couldn’t see the centre

      Have you ever wound a bow from 60 to 50 I do it with my PSE Drive I practice, indoor, field etc at 50 and hunt at 60. It takes awhile to be used to the 50 again, it feels soft a little sloppy , my anchor feels out and it take at least 30 shots to feel comfortable with it again.

    • @reaganriddle
      @reaganriddle 3 роки тому

      @@AussieArcher1234 your draw weight adjustments actually mess with your draw length just a tad. Lower weight=slightly longer draw. Now it isn’t a huge difference but it may be why your anchor feels off.

      @@reaganriddle The draw is set perfect for 50 as thats what I compete at , its lucky if it an 1/8 differant at 60 .and I take the grip off to compensate.

    If you're feeling pain that means you're over bowed mate. A lot of guys seem to suffer from the same malaise, heavier is better even if they can't manage it.

    Like your video, I just bought first compound bow, have not shot it yet.Going from 70lb to 50 lb because my draw length is short and its a 2007 Parker Wildfire with no poundage changing holes on the cam so I must change poundage by getting shorter strings, any way I have been doing some rifle shooting with a Vortex Strike Eagle lpvo and all though I do have some experience shooting rifles I did not realize that all though I did notice that the dot was larger then the bullseye how much it was negatively effecting my shot group which was only 25 yards, however when the power range was lowered to where the dot was not larger then the bullseye my group size dropped dramatically, 6 shot group was wide but minus the flyer the 5 shot group was under a dime at 25 yds.4 0f the shots touching, but when the dot was bigger then the bullseye my group was ehhh...ehhh. thats because i could center my dot inside the target which made my groups better. I can understand you wanting to shoot the 60 lb bow over the 50 lb bow because it feels better but I think that you should not judge the two bows based on the precision of the bow shot with the oversized aiming dot. Again great video.

    More holding weight gives greater stability in the wind. I would also suggest you experiment with different stabiliser weight set ups on the two bows, because optimal total bow weight depends on holding weight. If I shoot a bow with much lower holding weight, the stabiliser set up needs to be lighter as their is less holding weight to ‘hold it up’

    I just started testing the Accuview scope with the crosshair thing and a .15 pin. I’m having really good luck with it because the ring at the center of the cross hair lets you kinda use it the way you use a dot. You line up the ring circle with the outer yellow ring. But you also have a pin. I have it on my 36” 3D bow (Darton Tempest) and I had shoot off with my TRX 38 indoors at 20 yards or as you would say ehteen meatas. Anyways it won all three rounds by the exact same 2 points. Also The cross hairs let you know the bubble is off before you even check the bubble. So the shot process seemed a hair faster using it. Anyways give it a try I think you’ll like the combo for outdoors.

    I thought you were going to wind down to 50 and back up to 60.
    Then sighting equipment ect would have been identical.
    Good comparison none the less.

    I would suspect the entire issue is the scope. You shoot too well for it to be the bow when the sight does not allow for any consistency.

      Because you're up in places like that people really do not hunt with compound bows there's more targets shooting than hunting and you're only allowed to shoot 60 and under for Target and field that's why you see a lot of 60 lb bows
