I appreciate these videos. I followed your previous ones to install steering wheel controls on my girlfriend's corolla. While I do have the issue you show here, it's more like I can only program a set amount of buttons at the same time. Basically, it's either the left side or the right side. If I remember right, the mic and display buttons in particular never worked. I will definitely try this and see if it fixes it.
How did you know to cut the orange and black wire? I plan to install the right side steering wheel controls as you did, but using a Kenwood radio instead. Once I get the car soon, I will come back and comment to let you know what worked. Thank you for your tutorials, I always install a new radio in every car I get it’s always easier thanks to UA-cam friends like you. Subscribed 😺😃😄
I appreciate your comment and subscription. The pin 4 is what to cut. In the diagram, it is a Tel/Mute wire. For your radio, it may be a different wire color.
Thank you. I've been looking for this solution. It drives me crazy that these other controls cannot work. I have a 2010 Venza with stock controls and am thinking this might work for me to. Same buttons as you have...
Wow! Legend! it works! Had exactly the same issue and this solved it. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate your positive feedback ✨️
