    *What are the Possible Causes of the Code C1433*
    Faulty Steering Angle Sensor (Spiral Cable)
    Steering Angle Sensor power supply
    Steering Angle Sensor harness is open or shorted
    Steering Angle Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
    *What are Code C1433 Possible Symptoms*
    Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Warning Light ON
    Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
    *What Does the C1433 Code Mean*
    Steering angle sensor signals are sent to the Skid Control Electronic Control Unit (ECU) via the Control Area Network (CAN) communication system. When there is a malfunction in the CAN communication system, it will be detected by the steering angle sensor zero point malfunction diagnostic function. The Skid Control ECU monitors the Steering Angle Sensor. The Skid Control ECU sets the OBDII code when the Steering Angle Sensor is not to factory specifications.

    The part you got is the clock spring or 'spiral cable' to give it its correct name. This is used to connect the centre airbag and horn to the steering column. The steering angle sensor is behind the clock spring and counts how far you are turning the wheel. In other words, you have the wrong part.

      he replaced both at the same time. the steering angle sensor is attached to the back of the clock spring.
