Great video, very nice explanation for each steps. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I really appreciate your positive feedback
Good video, has inspired me to try.
The links provided aren't working. The buttons have a 10 pin connector, but the clock springs I look at appear to have a 12 pin connector. Do you have an PN for the clock spring?
I can get an OEM radio, are the buttons compatable? or do I need to use a programmable radio?
Unfortunately the link to the clockspring changes based on the seller. Here is another active link www.ebay.com/itm/404409696170?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rluj-kfkrrc&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mppknIOJRGm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Thanks!
Thank you for the super thanks!🙏🏾
Thanks man
You are welcome
How are those steering wheel controls holding up? I'm a bit hesitant to get made in China / non-OEM controls like that.
Holding on well, I have been using it over a year now
excelent
Thank you
@eazidy buenas tardes amigo que clase de autostereo tienes en tu carro se mirá bien. Muy bien explicado tu vídeo felicidades!!!

Muchas gracias
Very informative. Thank you! Info have a question, not sure what happened during my install, but my high beams no longer work after doing this. I can flash my high beams, but they do not stay on. Would you happen to know where I may have went wrong?
Questions: Did you replace your clockspring? Did you use the Spiral Cable?
@@eazidiy yes, I replaced the clock spring and no I didn’t use a spiral cord. Still waiting for the steering wheel controls and wires but thought I could just replace the clockspring while I wait
The clockspring is reponsible to route wires of Controls on the steering wheel. It should not affect light switch or wiper switch by the sides. Do you have a DLR in your headlight? Please check to see if you didn't touch the switch harness during installation of the clock spring
You may also throw back in the old clock spring to see if it fixes the issue, but I doubt it.
@EaziDIY What color do those light up at night?
I have an 09' Matrix, and I want to do it. But I want to know the color so it matches with the rest of the gauges.
Thanks in advance.
Hello. I have an 04 Toyota RAV4 black two sport great little car in mint condition. The only thing missing is the steering wheel with volume control. Have you had any knowledge if I can upgrade it to a later model steering whee. if so I would love to upgrade to a toyota radio that is compatible with the steering wheel. please Thanks in advance.
I checked online to see if I can get you one but couldn't not. You may need to buy a whole steering with control buttons
I have a Toyota Matrix S, 2010 - it uses the same exact steering wheel and is the same chassis so I assume the process is very similar at least, the exact same at best - do I have to do the same work behind the radio, or just the steering wheel and clock spring?
If it is S edition, you don't need to extra work behind the radio as long as you have pins present there.
I have a 2012 camry L that did not come with steering wheel controls. I added a new clock spring and steering wheel buttons from a Camry LE and have an identical android radio. Will this transfer wire work to make the buttons functional?
Hi, the transfer cable is customize for Corolla. I do not know if the PIN outs for Camry and Toyota are thesame.
@eazidiy.
Hello, I have a toyota auris with the exact same steering wheel, the steering wheel i got has buttons only on the left side so i was wondering if i'd have to change the clock spring inorder to add right side buttons
Hi, as I mentioned in the video your type of Toyota do not need to change the clock spring. All u need is the steering wheel control buttons.
@@eazidiy i think only the DISP won't work in the Auris because the DISP button is mounted on the speedometer
Please what are the differences between transfer wire and Spiral cable ?
Tnx
Spiral Cable is the clockspring.
Can the lights in the steering wheel controls be changed? I have yellow lights in mine and i wanna change them with white leds? any idea?
I guess you will have to open up the steering control and see what type and size of bulb is in it.
The 10 pin connector connects to clock spring clock but what about 4 pin connector hanging from wheel control switch? Please explain, where it should connect, if left unconnected what function will not work?🙏🙏🙏🙏
The 4 pin is extra harness could be use for cruise control connection. It won't affect the steering wheel control
Can this spiral cable with clock fix in corolla 2013 Gulf model Automatic. Steering shape & button is different.
The Spiral Cable used is only for Toyota cars because the pinout arr different.
This is very helpful, thankyou. I have ordered the replacement clock spring but my 2011 Corolla airbag only has one connector (orange). Can I just leave the black connector from the new clock spring disconnnected?
I do not recommend leaving the black cable out. Please buy the correct clockspring. Do not risk the Airbag blow out.
@@eazidiy OK thank very much. Would you know how I could identify the right part number for a clock spring that has a single air bag connector but also the requisite additional connectors for steering wheel control?

@@eazidiy Hey thanks for that but I can see that this also has two connectors (black and orange). My car only has the one for the airbag.
What is the model of your Corolla?
would this be the same process for a 2011 nissan altima base trim
No!
Greetings
Do you have four wheel disc brakes on your le model
No. Disc brakes for front wheels and drum brakes for rear wheels
I have a Toyota auris with the controls on one side I want to know if I change to this control will the disp button work? At the moment I have a to push a pin on the dashboard will this allow me to just press the button on the steering wheel?
I believe it should work for you. I installed the control buttons for android then I was able to program the buttons. You can give a try for stock head radio
I installed the buttons and they worked with my pioneer radio. The display button did not work though.
Thanks for letting me and other viewers know that information
No you will have to do some rewiring in the speedometer which is probably a little bit difficult.
I have seen a tutorial one time before a few years.
I think it was in toyotaowners forum but I'm not sure
Super but what about the airbag system?
Hi thank you for reach out but I did not get your question right. Could you be more specific
do you need to rewire anything if you're using a stock head unit/stereo? Is there a harness I need to buy?
It depends on your model of car. If your model L or LE, you need to buy the transfer wire. Then you must insert the SW1, SW2 and GND on the 20 pin harness at the back of your radio.
Hi.. i have installed the controls and radio control function on the left side work but the disp and phone functions on thr right do no work. What could be wrong
No, you are not wrong. This issue is common with some radios.
hey sir, do you know if i would have to change clockspring on an 03 camry if i were to swap over swc from a camry that does have swc?
Yes, you need clockspring replacement if your car doesn't have steering wheel control
@@eazidiy did you upload the vid on wiring? i havent seen it if so.
ua-cam.com/video/AFixt0T8Pw4/v-deo.html
What is that white plug for that you didn't plug in?
That is for cruise control connection if you choose to buy it.
Hello, I have an 09 Altis, that came with left side controls, but the mode button didn't work. I ended up buying double side controls but the right side controls don't work either, only the volume and arrow controls. Any idea why?
Do you have the stock radio or android radio? The issue happen based on the radio. I have experienced it on my old Android radio
@@eazidiy I have an android radio
Like I said, depending on the Android radio the buttons on the right side may not work ( call, mode, disp)
@@eazidiy is there any fix to this?
Unfortunately no, it is either you get another radio that will work on both signal wires or you enjoy it that way.
On your video where you plug the New control volume botton , you never talk of a one plug on your video ???
The plug is irrelevant to the video. I think it is for cruise control harness
For a beginner who is not very handy, how risky is it to take out the airbag if i follow your steps?
Airbag is very easy to remove. Make sure the battery is disconnected before attempting to take it out.
Please my car Corolla Altis 2009 model
It doesn’t have steering wheel control, what kind of Clock Spring should I buy?
I will be glad if you send me the link @AliExpress
Thank you.
Does your Toyota have a steering wheel control? If yes, you don't need to buy clockspring. If no, you need to buy clockspring to accommodate the harness for new steering wheel control module. Check the links in the description box

I have sony xav1000 and it have Remote In aux jack so how do i wire it ?
Does your Sony support steering wheel control?
Does it support steering wheel control?

@@eazidiySup bro I need your help. I have a 2010 LE corolla with no steering controls. I just bought a 2013 corolla or matrix steering wheel that has steering controls on both sides. I bought a new clock spring as well. My mechanic put it in but apparently the clock spring I bought only has two ports to plug in with my three cables from the steering wheel. So we had to leave one cable out.
Im not sure if that is what’s affecting my steering controls or if not programming it right on my android unit. Could you link me the exact clock spring that should work on my car?
@thexiafury3104 Watch the part 2 of the video here ua-cam.com/video/AFixt0T8Pw4/v-deo.html This will explain why your steering wheel control is not working for Corolla LE. Your clockspring is fine.
@@eazidiy Okay so which should I buy? New steering controls? Regular cable. Or regular cable with 20 pins harness?
20 pin harness if you do not want to do any connections behind the radio. It is plug and play. Otherwise, buy the regular transfer wire if you want to do further connections behind your radio.
Is this process possible for a 2002 camry?
Yes!
What is the serial number on the clock spring

would this work for a 2009 Rav4?
The steering wheel control control button in this video is designed for Toyota Corolla only. You need to get the one for RAV4. But the process to installation is thesame and the transfer cable will work for RAV4 aswell
Hi bro, can i ask questions? My corolla doesn’t have steering control and i am trying to replacea steering wheel sports D type while installing i found out the old clock spring doesn’t have pin for the steering wheel control cable i need to replace the whole clock spring??
Yes, you need to replace the clockspring too
@@eazidiywhy i dont see 3 wire harnesses on mine but in your video you have that 3 wire harnesses 7:22 ?? Thanks for immediate response bro appreciate it..
@egiegalang1724 are you referring to clockspring or Steering wheel control?
@@eazidiy clock spring bro in the bottom of the clock spring there is 3 wires.. is that standard clock spring has 3 wire harnesses?.. 7:22 minutes in your video..
What year and model of Corolla is yours?
Anyone else have their vsc light come on after this? If so, find a fix yet?
What triggers VSC? Your dashboard's VSC warning light signals a number of traction-related problems. It can be an issue with the rotation speed sensor, the wheel speed sensors, or the steering angle sensor. A defective steering rack may also be to blame.
It could be the clockspring angle sensor in your car
Can I change 2005 model
Yes, you can. Make sure you buy the right steering wheel control buttons.
Can this be done on a 2011 Toyota Axio?
Yes, make sure to check your clockspring
Thanks a lot
for toyota corolla 2012 do i need to change the clock spring?
No. You won't need to do that.
so i will just buy the multifunction pad and harnest/wiring going to head unit?
Yes!
