It would be interesting if it turned out that the storm Dragon created was not a devil fruit but an example of what conqueror's haki at its peak of mastering can do
Having a strong enough conqueror's haki to change the weather is pretty interesting since the same could be for Imu when Lulusia Kingdom was destroyed by the lasers because it could be the very willpower of Imu alone creating energy or by boosting the ancient weapon.
@@therewasoldcringe last time I heard about the kingdom it had a girl named Moda and for some reason a certain government felt fear of what this kingdom could become.
19:45 Honestly, based on the unfinished version of haki we see in Alabasta with Zoro vs Mr 1, when he is able to find the swords by feeling their "breath," similar to CoO, and to cut through steel by feeling the "breath" of steel, similar to CoA, and they were both the same ability for Zoro, I always thought of haki as the one haki, one single pool, and you channel it however you see fit/are capable of. You can channel it as a physical enhancement (Armament, increases physical resilience/hardness), as a mental enhancement (Observation, increases perception/intuition) or perhaps you can even force it onto others, forcibly imposing your will on them (Conqueror's), and it can be voluntarily (coating yourself in CoA, for example), accidental (Luffy's outbursts of CoC before the TS, Koby awakening CoO at Marineford) or permanent (Otohime feeling everyone's emotions; Luffy, Zoro and Sanij "detecting" Caribou at Fishman Island; Aisa's Mantra)
Makes sense. I strongly believe original Haki users (or a singular user) created Devil Fruits, connecting back with how Devil Fruits were created by the "Sea Devil" (which is probably just the first Pirate) and their descendants were called the "Will of the Devil" or Will of D as it became known as.
Three types of Haki, three types of devil fruits, three different ancient weapons, three big active factions, three sword style... Tekking is onto something with this trifecta thing, Zoro is also onto something...
Three heads on BB's jolly roger Three scars on Shanks face Three sections on the clima tact Three on Galdino's head Three little pigs About three fiddy
The implication that Law's will, his strength and love for Corosan Mr. Quiet creating that anti-sound room, was stronger than Big Mom's will to live in that moment, is pretty badash
I think that it's more that you can stop DF abilities that affect you/your body directly. Law's room was preventing her sound from spreading. Not preventing her from making the sound to begin with. She was screaming for help, it's just that no one could hear her.
@@thomasdahlberg5920 if big mom used enough Haki, she could scream through/shatter the room, Oda is done with rock-papper-scissors, now it is 100% willpower wins the fight
I could see Tekking being on to something with Im. We've seen Devil Fruit users like Luffy use his Haki to improve the use of his fruit. But how often are we seeing a fruit amplify haki? Im may simply have a kind of King-King fruit that generates a kind of feedback loop and let's them emit extreme amounts of conquerer haki that no normal person would dare challenge.
Only example i could think of is Enel. His lightning logia was able to enhance his observation haki and give it more range. You could say that Diamond Jozu having the diamond fruit could enhance his armament haki too I guess
I think haki being used to bolster a fruits power is all but confirmed. And when we finally see Kuzan Kizaru and Akainu fight they'll enhance their elemental powers with haki
Haki is willpower so I think it really has to do with creativity and self-belief to attempt to shape reality which is peak with Conq and could be infused with DF somehow like a technique. I'm thinking Sanji's abilities are key here to showcase people can develop abilities without DFs, like Fishman Karate, Sabo's Dragon Claw style, Okama Kenpo, etc. Lots of possibilities and opportunities for characters to power up.
I was thinking that if imu had the water water fruit. That to anyone else it would essentially kill them as that’s the devils fruit only weakness (water/liquid), but since imus conquerors haki is so strong that he is actually able to nullify that and essentially be unstoppable.
This is what makes Shanks so dangerous even with out a devil fruit power. He suppressed green bull's power and turned him back to a human even at a distance. That along with being one of the strongest swordsmen in one-piece puts him on same level as admirals.
Haki, Devil Fruits and Lineage Factors. They're probably all connected and that connection will be what's revealed here. I can't wait. Post-wano hitting different
Everyone talks about lineage factor like it's just DNA. I'm guessing it's similar but more fantastical, and it will be the key to half the weird stuff we see in the OP world.
Agreed its all but confirmed that devil fruit powers become part of your DNA when you eat one since Vegapunk could use Kaidos blood to clone the fruit .
@j r Careful we might be watching that happen right now. It’s going to be really difficult for law to survive this encounter. We know for a fact that Blackbeard does not engage in “fair” fights. He won’t fight a fight he isn’t certain he can win, and he doesn’t allow strong devil fruits to escape him. For law to survive this fight we need either Blackbeard to have massively miscalculated the strength of law, or we need a stronger character to show up, and force Blackbeard to retreat. However what wil not happen is Blackbeard beat law up, and leave him beat up, but alive.
it actually reminds me of Aizen's statement in bleach, where in a battle of soul reapers is a battle of spiritual pressure. If your overall reiatsu is stronger than the other guy's, then all of their hax abilities and sht are just useless against you;
Maybe doc Q infected the cannon balls being shot into the Polar Tang. That would make more sense as once one of those are in the Sub then it would start to infest anyone hit by it or near it.
That makes alot of sense. I thought that Doc Q infected the cannonballs or bullets and Van Auger teleported them to the sub marine lol that would be a crazy combination
@@thetruth997_ I think one of the panels shows the BB shop shooting at the Polar Tang, more than likely was Van Auger shooting the cannon balls. Maybe a combination of observation Haki + his teleporting fruit could let him move around objects that he can't initially see.
My personal belief is that how well haki can negate DF is dependent on how strong the haki is how strong the ability is. Also the relativity between the opponents. Example, Big Mom is powerful but even she would have trouble countering two Awakenings. Even before it, Law and Kid were able to combat her. Also it takes conscious effort to nullify the ability.
These discussions have had me thinking about Blackbeard's powers recently..... Its been shown to negate other fruit powers. What if the real power behind the darkness is absolute negation. Like, the limitations of the person have been negated, which is why he can handle multiple devil fruits. Why he seemingly get whatever he wants. He's able to manipulate the ability to negate anything and everything.
Law is just gonna switch the hearts of his crew and Blackbeard's then his crew gonna already know to jump into the ocean and drown them while law switches them back
@@thetruth997_ Oda decides who wins Since we are speculating a death match maybe law loses but I don't see either dying, so the question is actually who will get the road poneglyphs and law may have already shambled teach's but it's all speculation But in a logical battle of these Titans not my choice words law could shamble all of Blackbeard crew with fish and gg no re
I viewed haki as "exerting one's soul" and by extension reassert their self, in a sense. So when someone uses armament and touches someone else they assert their self onto them, and for logia types this means they become tangible, or they can coat their weapons in haki by making their weapons an extension of themselves momentarily. So the reason that haki "nullifies" devil fruit abilities is actually that haki reinforces the soul/self and pushes out the influences of other souls, like the ongoing effects of devil fruits.
It really got better with time i think. Early Marineford/ fish man island was quite irritating but it really grew on me. Wano did a great job in solidifying haki into a great system
Tekking. Now that we have seem Kaido going all out. What you think about Moria's plan of creating a zombie army including Oz to confront Kaido? How bad would Moria and his crew lose?
I like to think of haki and devil fruits working as the saving throw system in DnD. For example, in this chapter, Doc Q used an ability with a constitution saving throw based on his haki/df and law was able to resist because he "succeeded on the save", as in, he has enough haki to resist.
Basically Oda needed a way to explain how DFs with insta win abilities can exist alongside characters that are regarded in universe as near invincible. Why was Doffy so scared of Kaido, even though he could presumably rely on sneaking Sugar in close to turn him into a toy if he showed up? Kaido's haki makes him resist the toy transformation. Why can't Law just teleport Big Mom into the sea? Her haki means he can't move her against her will. And now we see that Doc Q can't just infect anyone he wants with a deadly disease, because their haki might be strong enough to negate it. I doubt that it just works on literally any df ability, since Law could still attack Big Mom with his other attacks, and Luffy could still turn Kaido into rubber post awakening, but would work on fruit powers that negate narrative tension.
There were pics of gender swapped Law & a figurine way before this happened so there might already be fan fic of gender swapped Law like, flawbin or flaBoa or something. (female Law x Robin, female Law x Boa)
What your forgetting about Pokémon moves is (or possibly you never knew to begin with) that if you use lock on or mind reader before using fissure, guillotine, horn drill etc then the move is a guaranteed hit even if the opposing Pokémon is airborne or underground (providing that the opposing Pokémon doesn't have levitate or whatever the other one is that blocks horn drill, guillotine etc) even if its at a higher level then your Pokémon is.
Both sturdy and wonder guard Iirc. Unfortunately unviable in showdown bc it's basically a free switchout to the opponent. Could be useful in a niche to force out set up sweepers though assuming you can survive 2 hits safely. Edit: now that I think about it, you're also devoting two move slots. And I'm unsure if ghost/flying natural immunities will negate it anyway. Sheer cold seems safest but idk what Pokémon have both lock on and an Ohko move in their move pool.
what if vegapunk have the voice of all things? and he managed to amplify it so he could "hear" the will of the DF and he can "understand" and learn even more about the DF, on top of that it will give us an answer as to why vegapunk left kaido's artificial DF, maybe the DF "told" him to leave him there for a reason, my point is just play with the idea
Haki isn’t the answer for everything. Blackbeard did negate Whitebeard’s devil fruit. Whitebeard is the strongest man in the world so if it worked on him then some devil fruits powers can’t be overcome with haki.
From a real world aspect, Oda probably didn't think Haki through that deeply. From a story point of view, Whitebeard was dying and extremely emotional due to Ace dying and anger from seeing Blackbeard. Katakuri couldn't use Future Sight when Luffy pissed him off.
I think Devil Fruits are the manifestation of dreams, but what good is a dream without will power and the call to action? And that's why Devil Fruits are weak to Haki. Haki is putting your words to action. Devil Fruits aren't an earned, earnest power, but Haki is because you put in the work and determination.
will is bs fma dante was right People can say there is a balance, a logic that everything happens for a reason... But the truth is far less designed. No matter how hard you work, when you die, you die. Some spend their entire life trying to scratch their way to the top, and still die in poverty. While others are born into wealth without ever working at all. It's a cruel and random world. And yet the chaos is all so beautiful. yes chaos is beautiful espacially when your enemies are crying and begging for mercy so hot now i know god form the bible feels.
I have a theory When you get hit by devil fruit such as age age fruit It's not permanent it just takes time for your haki to completely cancel the devil fruit (passively) even if you don't know how to use haki Everyone has it just not as strong And another theory Devil fruit like logia can alter things permanently without needing an awakening you just need to get enough mastery or experiences or training with that fruit to create a powerful enough attack to permanently alter things Awakening just makes them way stronger
I think a good way to imagine it is to think that the One-Piece world is like the Star Wars world and maybe something like the Force exists in the One-Piece world, like everything has a will of their own
This video tackles the one thing I really dislike about haki. To me it was much more interesting when there were just many wacky unexplained things in the OP world, rather than having everything explained with one single phenomenon
So...How screwed would Marines have been If Bonney had been at Marine ford and (if He allowed her to do it) She turned whitebeard back into Primebeard?
I thought this was already established by Doffy? Like when he mentions to Law that Vergo’s haki is to strong for Law to handle, wasn’t he referring to Law’s fruit
I'm curious if this will be playing some role in theory about Crocodile that I read some time ago. There are some secrets going on around this character and a lot of it starts adding in some interesting ways. I'm not sure if this will go the way I think will go but him never learning how to use Haki may be a vital part to it.
I'll have to double check but I reread the Impel Down arc and I could've sworn Crocodile mentioned that he could've used haki but claimed he saw no reason to do so against Luffy and others. So you might be right that he's worried about using too much and *ahem* reversing a procedure done long ago. 😅
@@JoseSerrato0420 We know Oda just didn't have the idea fully fleshed out yet no matter how many retcons they try, Croco/Ace/Smoker not having haki at that time made no sense as we kno the world now Ace/Smoker have a fight where neither can touch the other. MF was another huge time we saw that almost everyone there should've been using advanced haki but no1 came close to it, Luffy has the strongest haki showing in MF & he did so by accident
@@marcuswilliams2910 haki was present very early on in the series, maybe it wasn't fleshed out until much later but was definitely hinted at. Rayleigh explained in the timeskip that haki isn't really something that can be taught but something that a person needs to be shown and have them figure it out, and that it's widely learned through firsthand experience. Hence Luffy training for two years on that island. Koby didn't start his training until after he started using haki for the first time. The first portion of the Grandline was relatively easy so no one needed, or could develop their haki to be extremely proficient aside from a few examples. Amazon Lily has tons of haki users as they were a warrior tribe that taught each other. Skypeia had mantra, but that skill was mostly known about but not widespread, but those were single islands that were allowed to grow on their own. Fact is that if you were good at haki you most likely were going to end up in the New World. CP9 were assassins stationed in Paradise, and their targets were often normal politicians. They didn't need haki training and giving them that training would make them more difficult for the government to control. Smoker didn't know haki because he had sea prism weapons and was stationed away from the Grandline, so no reason to learn. Tashigi? You're taught by your superiors. If Smoker didn't know then she couldn't learn. The marines themselves can't really dedicate training it to their recruits because you need an aptitude for it to start training and you don't want to train powerful techniques to new people unless you can tell they're loyal. Lastly, Ace didn't know because he had only been at sea for 2 years and he was way stronger than the average pirate. If battle brings out haki then Ace didn't face enough challenges prior to meeting Whitebeard, and even then he was still strong enough for Paradise.
i like the soil idea because it could be that for weird devil fruits when people die the soil (spirit of haki i guess) absorbs the knowledge of said dead people allowing it to produce new fruits. Who to say all devil fruits were created at once possibly new ones crop up over time
Theory: perhaps devil fruits are made from someone's haki. Like someone poured their willpower into a fruit and the power comes from your imagination sort of like hunter hunter. My reasoning: some characters have powers that dont come from df. Like madam Sharley and miss golden weeks colors trap ability. Like what If their haki was strong enough they could create a df with their ability. And the devil inside a df is just the willpower of the person who originated the ability firsy
I think Haki, and by extension Devil fruits, are formed by the collective consciousness of all living beings. Like the Type Moons way that mystery’s work, the Paramecia's like the Wash Wash Fruit that is the concept of washing Landry, and the Legendary Zoan Bird Bird fruit Model: Phoenix is a human made Legend. So Haki is all living beings connection to the Collective Consciousness.
Yes, I came to the same conclusion yesterday. Devil Fruits are the "souls" in things (like fire, ice, magnetism) imbued into a fruit. You eat the fruit and your soul merges with the soul of the fruit and you get their power. The "Voice of all things" means all things have a soul. Haki is also soul manipulation but on yourself. That's why haki negates devil fruits and affect logias, they attack the soul of the fruit which is the source of the power. You overpower the soul with your own.
This is making it more and more likely to me that it'll be Luffy and Coby vs Blackbeard as a team because of how much devil fruit negation drains you. Thats alot of energy being used just to counter df powers and since Luffy needs haki to attack and sense he won't have enough to fight Blackbeard alone that's where Coby comes in.
I would bring up the mention of perception with the holograms by one of the vega bodies, that may also be leading to haki and devil fruits explaination. As haki is sort of how the world is perceived, if you percieve the world the way you want say i percieve that the logia type is human suddenly due to my perception being forced on them, i can now punch or cut them despite their bodies. Also the devil fruit could be argued to be a change in the perception of reality, a perception so strong that reality itself changes, percieving yourself as an animal, percieving yourself as controling the weather etc. Just a theory to where this is all going
Conqueres is percieving those around you as yours or lower than you, observation is percieving things such as the future or in their true nature. Armourment is percieing your own attacks as being strengthened or unstoppable, the stronger you percieve it aka your will power to percieve it, the more powerful the worlds altered around
My thoughts don’t always align with yours, but here they’re 1-1. I think there will be some reveal about a tangible connection between Haki and Devil Fruit. Like they all come from the same source. And I the void century is so important because the secret to their creation and connection is in there. Also because of atrocities the WG did when they formed, but that’s been theorized since forever.
Gigabrain: Haki backwards is Ikah. Maybe the first two aliens were Imu and Ikah. Siblings and rivals. But the name got lost in translation, and now we have the legend of Nika…
Since in this chapter they mentioned Haki is able to nullify DF powers, while Luffy was fighting Kaido in Gear 5 he was able to transform Kaidos body into rubber when he attacked. Is this maybe the power of Luffy's awakened DF against Haki?
Two scenarios I can think of: Haki can be used to prevent your DF ability from being outrighted negated. OR Whether someone is able to nullify DF effects is dependent on how power the haki is and how powerful the ability is.
Imagine Law switches the hearts of his crew with blackbeard and says time to go ham guys and just gangs up on blackbeard that would be a big brain usage of that ability since law's haki is better than all of them dunno about Blackbeard it should work right ?
My head cannon for Dr. Kureha's is that her haki is so amazing she out will's getting older, instead of the general fan consensus of having received the youth surgery.

I think haki can counter DF powers or enhance them depending on how the user wills it to. For example Luffy can harden his gum body, whereas Garp could nullify his bounciness. Now I think there is a separation with remote effect ,body properties and matter manipulation DF interactions. For example Sugar’s and Bonney’s DF work passively and not in conjunction with their haki. So the inflicted can counter the fruits effect only if they have ridiculous amounts of haki, independent of the DF users level of haki. That is why Blackbeard was afraid of Hancock’s power. Because her power is conditional to the inflicted’s lust for her. Or it could be that Blackbeard does not have top tiers level of haki needed to counteract a fruit like Bonney’s or Sugar’s. In conclusion I think that someone’s haki being stronger is only relevant for active usage DF powers. Pasive ones like Sugars may require just a top tier level to break the effect. This would explain why a character like Don Chinjao was turned into a doll even though his haki was stronger than Sugar’s. He did not have enough haki to break the fruits effect on it’s own.
I feel like the devil fruits have a lineage factor because they are fruits, and zoans are easiest to recreate because there are living creatures vegapunk can splice with the lineage factor in the parallel fruit. I think the origin of devil fruits is probably created by the shared haki of the living creatures on the one piece planet having collective ideas and concepts about things that exist. In this final saga of one piece we're probably going to see more characters mixing devil fruit abilities and haki- friendship being one of the core concepts for oda's story.
Another idea being devil fruits were created as a weapon by people and races on the one piece world (probably lunarians) to combat the people from the moon, using haki to bring concepts and creatures they interacted with on the planet into reality. Or in contrast- the moon people infected the plant life and natives of "earth" with their haki to terraform or something and the native one piece earthling's haki interacted with the process and complicated the devil fruit powers.
Devil fruits are created using soul manipulation. Think Big Mom's DF, but in reverse. "The Voice of all Things" means all things have a soul, so DFs work by taking the soul of something (like fire) and infusing it in a fruit. Vegapunk has a similar technology where he puts a DF in a weapon (basically infuses a soul into an object). Haki is also soul manipulation but in yourself. Armament let's you touch logias because you touch their soul instead of whatever they're made of. You can't touch fire, but you can touch the soul of fire. Also explains why haki negates DFs. If your soul is strong enough, you can negate another soul influence on you.
Actually I don't think that Kaido having sick sick fruit would make it more effective because of his haki output. I think haki is some kind of resistance to devil fruit effects but it's not an enchancer
For me this situation is a little sus. I always thought that you need to prevent the attacks with Haki, because now what, you fight with Magellan get poisoned and ha!! Haki cure poison… Sure Oda… Sure…
I think it isn't that simple. It looks more like that whether you can nullify abilities depends on the strength of the ability and the strength of the haki itself. Big Mom was unable to the counter Awakenings of Kid and Law due to being Awakenings, the pinnacle of DF mastery. The ability was strong enough, that she couldn't outright resist it, unlike pre-Awakening Law. Sugar's ability was a level a broken that not even Chinjao could negate it. Though with him, he's way out of his prime.
@@udonnauchegbu2018 Are we sure that Chinjao couldn't or not knew, because just to remember you he has Conqueror's Haki. What I'm saying is that if you get freeze by Aokiji or burned by Akainu, for more haki you have you still burned or frezee, Doffy and Whitebeard get out thanks their own devil fruits no cause of haki. Same applies with diseases, you can't cure them with Haki, if not talk with Roger.
@@haterreaction6368 Chinjao was way out of prime. Besides he can't use CoC coating. When talking about how DF can nullify/resist DF abilities, I'm talking about the ones that produce an unnatural effect on the individual. The kind of abilities that influence the individual. Examples would be someone forcibly turning your arm into rocks. Or being forcibly teleported. Haki allows to counteract the direct change or effect on the person.
@@udonnauchegbu2018 When LAW learn advance COC??? Oh! Wait he can't, because he does not have. Besides, Doc.Q, the guy from Blackbear's crew, told us that is an ilness, so now Haki is healing people, THAT IS SUS even for One Piece. No sense at all... Well, no sense, because One Piece users, they used Haki to prevent the attacks from the moment that the history of OP told us how it works. That happens with Rayleigh. What would be the point of observation and armament haki if you can take the hit with out using them...
@@haterreaction6368 I was just bringing CoC up but it has no relevance to the discussion. I was just trying to establish the Chinjao may not be able to use the ability. It takes conscious effort to nullify ABILITIES. Even if it's an illness, it's still something that was created as an effect of a DF. So ability of giving someone a disease was nullified. This isn't the same as haki being able to heal someone. Rayleigh only said that haki is the best countermeasure against DF and this is the reason. It can nullify abilities that have an influence on the person. This doesn't mean that they can just nullify Ace's Flames or Zoan transformations.
A huge foreshadowing of haki nullifying a hability DF was Luffy recovering from Magellan's poisoning. Ivankof hormones enabled Luffy to tradeoff lifespan for energy... which is not cheating with nature, more like making your metabolism go brrrr beyond what the organ's can withstand for long. Then he was all by itself chained on a "bed" in a cell fighting for his life. So at the end of the day he recovered from willpower alone.
WHAT IF...THe devil fruit powers are just of the devils will power, their haki...Like that would also explain how luffy does the red hawk...His will was so powerful that he created the ability to conjure fire... idk if it makes sense but thats what i think. Just the will so strong for he devils added to fruits.
I just love the Haki since Luffy use Conquers Haki in marineford war I just fell in love with Haki There are Lot of Amazing powr system but I love Haki
If everything were to tie back to Haki, including Devil Fruits, why would the ocean weaken their abilities? Also, if Haki was to be that inclusive, it'd be too similar to Nen and other stuff, right?
Devil fruits are just better version of smiles. And smiles were made with seawater and animal DNA (SAD) and then cultivated through fruit trees to get smiles. Since 1 out of 10 were succesfull i reckon that only those smile fruits had the will of an animal inside of them. Smile users are also unable to swim so i reckon it's because the power gets dilluted by seawater. So for Devil fruits you probably need some sort of DNA, Haki and i reckon kairoseki (maybe the ancestral tree stands in kairoseki soil). So seawater has the same dilluting effect.
Is your next video going to be explaining the new devil fruits revealed in more detail Also Law must have Conquerors, because if he doesn't then wow he is just really really strong
maybe this is stupid but even then i will say it. DEVIL Fruit, the devil that gives human something for a price(the abiliety to swim) and maybe haki is something godly that the "gods"/ the ancient civilization given others or created to fight the Devils.I also think that awaken a devil fruit will have a price we have no idea about.
Mark my words, Blackbeard either made a deal with the devil (like the real life legend) or his fruit is not a logia, but a zoan like Luffy's, like a hito hito no mi model devil or something like that and he still has to awaken it. That would explain why his fruit can negate the effect of other fruits.
Devil Fruit: Haki so powerful not even death can constrain it. Would you be surprised if someone like Roger had a will power so strong it manifested as a new devil fruit? Some dude really loved jackets and also had crazy Haki? Jacket Jacket fruit. Some lady has pet Giraffes and Haki? It explains Mythical Zoans.
I like to think of haki as imposing your own will upon the physical world/future/spirit. I also have to ask if "devil fruit" is not it's actual name and just one it was given over the years due to it giving supernatural powers?
Could BigMom extract Devil Fruits? We know that a Soul enters your body when you eat a DF. And Bigmom can remove Souls. So couldnt she just go to, idk, Buggy and rip the DF out of his body? And maybe she would even be able to use it. She can add Souls of other people into her own, so it wouldnt be 2 Souls fighting each other, bc Buggys Fruit would enter her Soul.
I think it would be interesting to see if maybe devil fruits were created by the old kingdom and its allies by using the fruits as a way to preserve their will while facing extermination. But how much what devil fruits are and their connection to the void century is unsure, because even though Vegapunk is a brilliant scientist, there's no knowing how much he actually knows of void c if anything at all.
ok, I have a very difficult question. Imagine Kaido had a different devil fruit, a smile devil fruit, like the Gifters, maybe even a dragon fruit but the SMILE version. and Otama gives him a Kibi Dango, and also tells him to shake hands. What do you think will happen??? (Considering Kaido's Strong Haki of course)
I think it more depends on what the fruit is doing to you that would go against your will. The fruits like law, sugar bonney and giolla could be countered. However getting punched by a lava fruit user wouldn't be countered since the user is literally magama or kuzan is freezing the moisture directly not the user. Same as hit by a zoan strength would still damage without counter.
Honestly I used bleach logic to understand this idea years ago. Basically just a way to force fodder characters off screen much like conquers haki to get the main combative characters alone to fight. Kenpachi and aizen both show this off by just negating abilities so one piece is just now getting to show us this concept. Basically giving rules to it but hxh still does it best where you can't muscle your way out of nen conditions
Didn't Killua's brother just think Gon's condition away with very little cost (got tired)? The amount of nen exerted during that miracle tell me that you certainly can if you have enough reserve, example: everything from the Dark Continent.
@@disasteromega that's more of a power nanika already has that isn't a rule break as it's in its own power. Though killing nanika would be easy still being a kid that balances it out and it still has conditions when killua isn't around to stop the wish process passing the bad effects to someone else who acts selfish while killua only asked for something good like healing.
@@ivanbluecool And some how Killua being there change the conditions of nanika's ability reducing it to cost almost nothing, and nanika changing Gon's condition is not a rule breaker of some type? Nen being the manifestation of the users thought is already quite fluid, things like Blinky can suck in blood despite it being living because the user doesn't know it is makes for easy rule breakings built in to the nen power system, it is far from rigid.
I am assuming that ms golden week and Django had a 3rd level of conquers haki but they were using it unconsciously so it's very weak or its very basic conquers hski and the strawhats were just very weak back then
People always mention/theorize that the ultimate/top-secret/greatest ever-DF is the Water-Water/Sea-Sea - DF (most likely eaten by Imu, & to be fair his name backwards is Umi). But why not a Haki-Haki-DF? Given that it appears there is a DF for practicaly every single other force that exists within the OP world, from gravity, time, entropy, electro-magnetic radiation, souls, memories, shadows, light, darkness, sickness, fusion(wapol-- possibly the most OP -underutilized DF ever),T-freaking-Rexs, Space (possibly Laws, but I suppose Kuma & now Van Auger could be candidates as well), it kinda seems strange to not have one, unless perhaps it ends up as you somewhat theorized here, that Haki was itself somehow involved in the origin & creation of DF.
Sawyer made some good points about this topic To expand this discussion, it's been implied since Dressrosa, it's why Law wasn't able to move Doffy, HOWEVER he was able to swap Doffy and Sanji out because he caught them BY SURPRISE That also explains why Sugar can affect the fighters, they were damaged/injured and/or unconscious To go even further we can check some pre-timeskip examples since we learned that Haki HAS ALWAYS EXISTED and it's up to us to see when, where, and how: - Foxy, his beams caught people by surprise because he was a trickster - Momonga resisting Hancock's powers, sure he stabbed himself and through the pain he resisted, but he resisted through SHEER WILLPOWER and we know willpower = haki Other instances of Haki pre-timeskip (not necessarily countering fruits) - Luffy punching Mr3 in Little Garden despite the many clones - Zoro fighting Mr1 - every single logia avoiding attacks with observation at the moment of impact since the enemies also are supposed to be using haki as well
I just realized there are 3 or more ways momonosuke can go back to being a child: 1) by bonnie's power 2) by overcoming the effects of the shinobu's with overwhelming haki 3) by dr vegapunk's technology 4) by luffy's power of turning his imagination into reality to influence others (we do not know its limits) 5) by dr Q's sickness fruit (if switching genders is a possibility of the sick fruit then maybe turning younger also is... we do not know its limits) 6) by ivankov's fruit (maybe) 7) blackbeard nullifying the effects (maybe) of shinobu's powers 8) by shinobu's awakening I honestly think the most likely is 1) but will it happen? Idk... maybe after the final war
Logia Fruits: Clad in the Armor of an Element (Armament Haki) Zoan fruits: the ability to withstand, and overwhelm other creatures (Conquerors Haki) Paramecia Fruits: The ability to command an observable phenomena or object (Observation) this could be complete nonsense but who knows!
Could you imagine Bonney turning Kaido into a child and then getting Jotaro/Set beat-down by him. Also haki comes two fold. The physical expression (Armament, Analytical and Conquerer's) and passive (which is why those that may not be able to express it themselves properly can withstand bursts of conquerer's. It's how much ambition you have versus that that is expressed. Like how Luffy knocked out the New Fishman mooks and only caused Hoody to shutter, the blast wasn't at a high enough level to knock Hoody out). At least that's how I've seen it.
2:50 You just "stole" that idea from Lily Enstomach though... 8:31 I know it was just a "whatever" example, but if Kaido had the Sick Sick Fruit I wonder what Queen had focused his research on... I hope that the "Everything connects back to Haki" thing is not happening. Because that would come across as haphazardly thrown together, a hot fix if you will.
•Poseidon = Conqueror’s Haki = Zoan Devilfruits… Shirahoshi’s command over the Sea Kings mirrors the nature of Conqueror’s Haki, overpowering and commanding the wills of others with your own, and Shanks has used it to clearly communicate with someone else. Also, Poseidon has a clear emphasis on being a part of a living creature, so one could compare it to Zoans. •Pluton = Armament Haki = Paramecia Devilfruits… I don’t think I need to explain how the Pluton battleship is linked to Armament Haki 😂 the Paramecia link is a bit shakier though. However, a lot of Paramecias are related to things that humanity has built from smaller, simpler components (we make Mochi from multiple base ingredients, jackets are crafted from multiple fabrics; the Soul-Soul Fruit is a key aspect of humanity rather than an element or it’s own living thing so it’s in here, but not all Paramecias fit smoothly in this example due to it being something of a catch-all category). Thus, they’re similar to the idea of a battleship being built from many smaller parts by humanity’s ingenuity. •Uranus = Observation Haki = Logia Devilfruits… The Haki link on this one is shaky but I think I can make a case for it. Uranus is an aerial weapon that annihilates its targets with beams of light from the heavens, making it easily the most “divine” looking weapon thus far. Many gods are often considered capable of seeing the future and seeing into the hearts and minds of lesser beings like humans, much like Observation Haki users can do. These gods may then rain down divine judgement upon foolish mortals who step out of line. The comparison should be a lot clearer now. The link to Logias is easier, given the idea that Logias represent the fundamental building blocks of the world, raw power and energy unrestrained.
It would be interesting if it turned out that the storm Dragon created was not a devil fruit but an example of what conqueror's haki at its peak of mastering can do
that's dumb as gear5th.
Or he was simply amplifying his power using haki
That is a distinct possibility. Whitebeard and Shanks split the heaven without really trying.
What is CoO, CoA, & CoC?
@@JiangGo1998 Haki. Colour of Observation, Colour of Armanent and Colour of the Conqueror
Makes sense. I strongly believe original Haki users (or a singular user) created Devil Fruits, connecting back with how Devil Fruits were created by the "Sea Devil" (which is probably just the first Pirate) and their descendants were called the "Will of the Devil" or Will of D as it became known as.
There could indeed be such a connection, especially since word Devil can also be read as D-will fruits.
Makes sense with people having the D initial being the "enemies of god"

The implication that Law's will, his strength and love for Corosan Mr. Quiet creating that anti-sound room, was stronger than Big Mom's will to live in that moment, is pretty badash
I think that it's more that you can stop DF abilities that affect you/your body directly. Law's room was preventing her sound from spreading. Not preventing her from making the sound to begin with. She was screaming for help, it's just that no one could hear her.
Badash?
@@thomasdahlberg5920 true that could make sense since haki doesn't stop all dfs just ones that affect your body

Imagine a "Haki-Haki no-mi" fruit that could be fused with other fruits like Teach, game over lol.
This is what makes Shanks so dangerous even with out a devil fruit power. He suppressed green bull's power and turned him back to a human even at a distance. That along with being one of the strongest swordsmen in one-piece puts him on same level as admirals.

I think Oda only making an excuse of having Law back again on screen. Oda just can't stand Law's off screen much longer 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Law is too popular, the fans got him this role otherwise i think Oda was planning to kill off the supernovas.
@@jamesdecost6009 bro no one needs to show up man this isnt pre time skip and like shanks said there isnt fair fights when fighting pirates

Also, this haki negating DF bit has been my head canon since Smoker told his subordinates they didn't have strong enough haki to fight Law.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this is the right answer
I'm so glad Oda put Haki in the story. I love how simple but awesome it is..
A burst of coc and they go down
Tobi roppo is enough tbh
I like to think of haki and devil fruits working as the saving throw system in DnD. For example, in this chapter, Doc Q used an ability with a constitution saving throw based on his haki/df and law was able to resist because he "succeeded on the save", as in, he has enough haki to resist.
That’s what i took it to be like as well when Kaido and Big Mom weren’t affected. Their “constitution” is so high they aren’t affected by a fruit
Haki and especially luffy's devil fruit abilities are based on the Siddhi's in Buddhism.
Imu is also meaning Buddha the Enlightened One....

Does this mean that haki could nullify Blackbeard's dark dark fruit ability that nullifys devil fruit ability?
Imagine if it wasnt his df, but haki💀 its probably imposible for him to have that much haki thou
I have a theory
When you get hit by devil fruit such as age age fruit
It's not permanent it just takes time for your haki to completely cancel the devil fruit (passively) even if you don't know how to use haki
Everyone has it
just not as strong
And another theory
Devil fruit like logia can alter things permanently without needing an awakening you just need to get enough mastery or experiences or training with that fruit to create a powerful enough attack to permanently alter things
Awakening just makes them way stronger
I think a good way to imagine it is to think that the One-Piece world is like the Star Wars world and maybe something like the Force exists in the One-Piece world, like everything has a will of their own
0:04 Tekking, dont lie to us, i saw the last Op dnd episode
Luffy about to show how haki used to hunt in ancient times.
This video tackles the one thing I really dislike about haki. To me it was much more interesting when there were just many wacky unexplained things in the OP world, rather than having everything explained with one single phenomenon
Every power is related to Haki therefore, Nami's boob growth is because of Haki.
Can you make a theory about why oars’s devil fruit is practically the same as luffys
Where I hear the devils in the devil fruit theory, I somehow imagine that One Piece is a prequel to Black Clover 😅
The Croco-Mom theory will never die.
Luffy was able to make Kaido into rubber. I wonder what that implies.
Parvision has had a devil fruit haki idea for awhile too.
So it's been the indomitable human spirit this whole time!?
Always has been...
i like the soil idea because it could be that for weird devil fruits when people die the soil (spirit of haki i guess) absorbs the knowledge of said dead people allowing it to produce new fruits. Who to say all devil fruits were created at once possibly new ones crop up over time
Can strong haki avoid the Mero Mero no mi? ( Hancock's fruit)
That haki thing is necessary, without it some dfs are busted like The Yami Yami no mi
Haki is pretty damn cool
You overpower the soul with your own.
fun fact: melbourne is pronounced "melbn" in australian
Maybe Laws Haki is Conquerors but his is white lightning instead of black ?? Like just his version.
Was wondering what animal he was gonna do for the letter N 👀😂
My thoughts don’t always align with yours, but here they’re 1-1. I think there will be some reveal about a tangible connection between Haki and Devil Fruit. Like they all come from the same source. And I the void century is so important because the secret to their creation and connection is in there. Also because of atrocities the WG did when they formed, but that’s been theorized since forever.

Since in this chapter they mentioned Haki is able to nullify DF powers, while Luffy was fighting Kaido in Gear 5 he was able to transform Kaidos body into rubber when he attacked. Is this maybe the power of Luffy's awakened DF against Haki?
Luffy was also using haki
Two scenarios I can think of:
Haki can be used to prevent your DF ability from being outrighted negated.
OR
Whether someone is able to nullify DF effects is dependent on how power the haki is and how powerful the ability is.
I just see this as another way of nerfing Bonney hahaha
Imagine Law switches the hearts of his crew with blackbeard and says time to go ham guys and just gangs up on blackbeard that would be a big brain usage of that ability since law's haki is better than all of them dunno about Blackbeard it should work right ?
Using collections of 3 is a common storytelling trope in general.
How many people think Vaga Punk will join the Straw Hats on their journey? Not really as a member of the crew but a helper.
Nah, Bonney has a better chance
Imagine if bonney was helping wb at marine ford. That would have been the easiest win
Nope 😂😂
yup this chapter pretty much answers the concern of "what if weak but hack df encounters yonko level fighter" scenario. which was badly needed.
My head cannon for Dr. Kureha's is that her haki is so amazing she out will's getting older, instead of the general fan consensus of having received the youth surgery.

It seems DNA DNA fruit is called Sick Sick fruit
This doesn't mean that they can just nullify Ace's Flames or Zoan transformations.
i could see haki being really tied to the will of D and how it originated from the will of D
Ramen Kenpo = Haki confirmed?
what if devil fruits transform your haki.
then haki would be DNA that would make sense cuz devil fruits aulter your DNA
Is your next video going to be explaining the new devil fruits revealed in more detail
Also Law must have Conquerors, because if he doesn't then wow he is just really really strong
maybe this is stupid but even then i will say it.
Could be that sanji has the potential to create the mera mera no mi
(Considering Kaido's Strong Haki of course)
imagine prime garp having robins devil fruit....
The counter for logia is being able to touch them, but it wouldn't disable the element itself
Until there comes a character who can just muscle his way out of nen conditions.🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Nope. Even muruem couldn't do it
Didn't Killua's brother just think Gon's condition away with very little cost (got tired)?
Sawyer made some good points about this topic
To expand this discussion, it's been implied since Dressrosa, it's why Law wasn't able to move Doffy, HOWEVER he was able to swap Doffy and Sanji out because he caught them BY SURPRISE
That also explains why Sugar can affect the fighters, they were damaged/injured and/or unconscious
To go even further we can check some pre-timeskip examples since we learned that Haki HAS ALWAYS EXISTED and it's up to us to see when, where, and how:
- Foxy, his beams caught people by surprise because he was a trickster
- Momonga resisting Hancock's powers, sure he stabbed himself and through the pain he resisted, but he resisted through SHEER WILLPOWER and we know willpower = haki
Other instances of Haki pre-timeskip (not necessarily countering fruits)
- Luffy punching Mr3 in Little Garden despite the many clones
- Zoro fighting Mr1
- every single logia avoiding attacks with observation at the moment of impact since the enemies also are supposed to be using haki as well
Melbourne is just "Mel-bin" or "Mel-b'n", ignore the stupid spelling xD
hol up Im in melbourne BARRY GAVE ME A PIN PIN fruit he said when i eat it i get pinned by tekking so i ate it lets see
Sugar has more will power than Robin and Don Chinjao... right.
I just realized there are 3 or more ways momonosuke can go back to being a child:
1) by bonnie's power
2) by overcoming the effects of the shinobu's with overwhelming haki
3) by dr vegapunk's technology
4) by luffy's power of turning his imagination into reality to influence others (we do not know its limits)
5) by dr Q's sickness fruit (if switching genders is a possibility of the sick fruit then maybe turning younger also is... we do not know its limits)
6) by ivankov's fruit (maybe)
7) blackbeard nullifying the effects (maybe) of shinobu's powers
8) by shinobu's awakening
I honestly think the most likely is 1) but will it happen? Idk... maybe after the final war
What if it’s actually Vegapunk ancestry who made devil fruits they might be man made 🤷🏾♂️ @tekkin
it's pronounced Mel-bin, hopefully he is safe we have some bad flooding right now!
Logia Fruits: Clad in the Armor of an Element (Armament Haki)
Zoan fruits: the ability to withstand, and overwhelm other creatures (Conquerors Haki)
Paramecia Fruits: The ability to command an observable phenomena or object (Observation)
this could be complete nonsense but who knows!
Think blackbeards devil fruit (being the opposite of Luffy) awakens into the mythical yami yami model Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto?
