Interesting when you consider that Dragon likely knows everything Vegapunk does. With that considered, Sabo seemed very surprised about Imu does that mean Vegapunk is not aware of Imu or is Dragon holding secrets?
The TLDR for why color changing lightsabers don't exist is that there's a lot of in-universe spirituality involved in determining lightsaber color. Technically you can turn any saber red and turn a red saber white, but it takes a loooong time to do.
Vegapunk is practicing experimental archaeology! Experimental Archaeology is when archaeologists takes various technology or whatnot and try and figure out how it worked/how it was built, so they go and do it themselves! They've built boats to sail down rivers/between islands on the ocean, figured out how to make stone tools and leather, blow glass beads using archaic methods, ect. If all of this technology on Egghead is based on past technology, then that's experimental archaeology, whether he found instructions, or reverse engineering or something. As an archaeologist myself, its so cool to see experimental archaeology of this scale in my favorite manga.
I think its possible that the Gorosei may not know that Vegapunk has had access to the ancient technology. Like maybe the technology was frozen and hidden on the island until it all melted. I mean there's some holes in that since I don't feel like going to deep into it but I feel apart of that is realistic.
Now i want a scene where vegapunk is jamming in a server basement while the 3d scan of a poneglyph and its script are run through a program that compares the script to every known writing like in the first blade movie
Hello, I think theres poneglyphs in Egghead, including the Road poneglyph. If so, then Roger went to Egghead and learned all of the history of the world, he got the blueprint of the gomu gomu no mi and landed it to Shanks before going to Laughtale. So the information for shanks was, the person to have the inherited will would need the D. on it's name, use the Strawhat and eat the fruit for Joyboy's return.
So my two main theories I have currently are 1. The world government and the celestial dragons started off as an ancient pirate crew with Imu as its Yonko captain. The current celestial dragons are descendants of this pirate crew. They destroyed the ancient kingdom and threw the world back technologically in order to maintain power. The hypocrisy of the WG gaining power in this way would fracture the marines and cause War. 2. As Vegapunk in actually just deciphering ancient technologies, then that must surely mean that when he made his synthetic devil fruits that it indicates that devil fruits are ancient technologies.
I don't know Tekking, I'm a paleontologist and we have actual revived dinosaurs in our lab, as well as rocketships because we're working with NASA and ESA to go find fossils on Mars
That actually possible, but it could also be a ancient colony .. I mean, we know that there are people up there, in this system at least (the space pirate) ...
I actually am a former electoplating chemist and the lab and floor where I worked do look like something out of manga... We had gallons of dangerous acids everywhere for reagent tests, hundred-pound drums of dangerous chemicals for adds, electrical hookups for hull-cell simulation tests, hundreds of tanks of boiling acid mixed with metals, and thousands of pounds of metallic salts we needed to pour into those tanks every day.
i just had a thought the other day during the review what if vegapunk is related to doctor kureha in someway because like what she's over a hundred and like it would make sense if the two oldest characters were related
i believe that vegapunk is actually from that time. he managed to gain longevity by turning himself into robots. he is so far ahead of the world, because he was a scientist back in the day of the great kingdom. the WG just let him live to build stuff for them to stay in power.
Personally I've thought for a longtime that One Piece was probably a colony world for a more advanced civilization. So not that surprised. Likewise, yeah Devil Fruits might be nanomachine hives. You bite the fruit, the nanos enter your system and changes your body fundamentally and leaves your system when you die to reincarnate into another hive.
i've been a fan of this theory for a while. One step further is that the Lunarians are sent out as scouts/explorers to potential worlds and that is why they are said to survive such harsh environments. they find a planet, set up a base (typically on a moon), then start preparing the planet for the colonists.... the problem here being is that the Lunarians didn't give up control once the colonists arrived and even divided up the world with their access to advanced terraforming tech my making the Red Line.
Couple of ideas to mull over: 1) Space-pirates... There are space-pirates... The Ancient Kingdom was super advanced and there's space-pirates that are members of species that exist planet-side... Is the One Piece world the only inhabited planet? 2) Vega Punk has the evidence, without much context. Ohara had context but little evidence. Was Ohara destroyed to keep it's schoolers from interacting with Vega Punk (or vice versa)?
Just something interesting I want you to consider. It almost seems like with each yonko luffy defeats a piece of himself in a way. Would love your thoughts. Like those yonkos represent a piece of his personality to the extreme
If Franky used his nipple lights for a blinding attack I think he would easily call it "Super Franky Flash!!" That really fits IMO, because I could imagine how both the Japanese and English voice actors would sound like saying it in the anime. And I think he already does say "Franky Flash," when he does that so why not add the signature "super," to it, since he'd be upping the brightness to searchlight status.
The very fact that Poneglyphs exist tells us that the Ancient Kingdom was already expecting a change in power, that's why they sought to write their History on indestructible Stones. For the traitor, most likely they were the Nefeltari Family (having info about Pluton) for they didn't accepted to go to Marijoa and came back, tells if they regretted their decision of cheating with the Ancient Kingdom.
I like how if Egyptians laid the stones for the Giza Pyramid every eight minutes without rest / any down time at all, the pyramid would have taken twenty years to build. This includes using the Nile to transport all of the stones and to carve them. The sheer workload just to build the pyramid is probably why the alien idea even started. It's such a massive project. It wouldn't necessarily be doable today. The precision and the ability to have a project that takes that long to complete.
The lightsaber doesn’t change like that because its color is determined by the core. Changing its color requires either a new crystal or to imbue it with the other side of the Force than it’s last wielder used through a whole process.
I always figured that the ancient kingdom was less a singular island and more of a situation like the WG currently--a bunch of islands under a singular banner. Except maybe not as big or wide-spanning as the current WG.
Not sure when you said you talked about the tech from the void century but you first mentioned the ancient kingdom having high tech in 2017 in your ancient weapon video.
I'm really curious to see what living organisms the ancient kingdom made because they probably cracked the linage factor. Pop green feel like a super plant type made for world hunger or something. Also den mushi could totally be made by them, also sea kings could be made for them and they put some gene in the royal bloodline of Fishman island that allows them to control them
Anyone else get the feeling that Momo's fruit was considered a failure because it was still weak to water. Like Vegapunk perfectly copy Kadio's Dragon fruit but saw the flaw that you get weaker with sea stone and thought that it was not good enough.
@@juanca120 Well Vegapunk now doesn't seem to care about that if he did his bodies would look the same and we can clearly see that color of his own copies of himself does not mark failure
@@haroldflint521 we are talking about why Vegapunk considered the dragon fruit a failure then you said the recent vegapunk doesn't care about things like colors a failure and I said maybe the Vegapunk of the past care for things like that becuase maybe he was a perfectionist. Now you are talking about Judge who is not related to your first statement.
Can’t wait to find out the origins and mechanics of devil fruits. It’s crazy how many of them have are these elements and they’re just interesting how they work . But what I’m most curious about is how objects can take in devil fruits . Like example at Enies Lobby when that guy had a sword that turned to an elephant . Robin thought the elephant ate like a sword fruit or something but it was the sword that ate the elephant fruit. That’s just so crazy and can’t wait to figure that out.
Does anyone think that maybe Vegapunk already knows a lot more than robin about the void century? He probably already knows the language just doesn’t want the government to know that he knows, or maybe they already know and are planning to kill him? He HAS to know about it because if he can create all of this technology or smart enough to operate it, he would be smart enough to know the language or using a computer to decipher it. Or simply enough study and used the books like robin did. He probably already knew how to read the language even before robin was alive. It’s just weird that we get introduced to a highly intelligent character but couldn’t read a language that could take a few years and some books to learn.
Something in the last chapter makes me think Oda was messing with us. Maybe what we saw at Lulusia wasn't Uranus. If the Ancient Kingdom was very advanced then maybe what they called a ship didn't sail on the sea. I think what we saw might actually have been a recreation of Pluton instead. It definitely fits the description, " A ship capable of vaporising an island in a single shot". Just it was an airship not a sea ship. I mean he only said ship, we were the ones that immediately thought boat.
Oh God I'm gonna sound nerdy 🤓 Luke lost Anakin's Lightsabre when he got his hand cut off by Darth Vader at the end of Empire strikes back. The Green lightsabre was made either with the help of Yoda or following comic lore with the blueprints of how to make a lightsabre from Obi Wan and Luke's Sabre color was green. Now why people can't have color changing lightsabres(as dope as it would be) but each Jedi or sith crafts a lightsabre hilt and then they go and find a Kyber crystal and they embue the force into the crystal and it turns a specific color Blue being the normal standard color most people get using the light side of the force and padawan's would get while Green usually means someone more intune with the force and a better grasp of the force. Red kyber crystals are usually corrupted kyber crystals used by sith lords who kill jedi's and take their lightsabres and corrupt the jedi's kyber crystal turning it red.(which was another reason obi wan took anakin's lightsabre at the end of Revenge of the sith as it was starting to be corrupted.) Purple is for someone who uses both sides of the force light and dark side someone who embraces both sides and not fully committing to either alone. Yellow is a bit weirder as it's more of having complete balance of the force and White is being solely in the light side of the force with no traces of dark side or emotions which is very rare and there is only one black lightsabre and that's a mandalorian weapon not a jedi weapon. Also their are Invisible light Sabre kyber crystals but they are kinda ridiculous any way that's my ted talk of light sabres.
Lightsabers are powered by a special crystal called a Kyber crystal which determines the colors. Normally we only see Blue and Greens, since Red are made from synthetic crystals since the Sith don't have acces to these crystals. However, in the Expanded Universe, there were other colors, like a Dark Saber, a Black Saber, a Grey Saber, an Orange Saber, and even a Rainbow Saber. But Disney chopped off the Expanded Universe and made their own after they aquired the rights to Star Ward.
Given how we saw a giant robot in this chapter I think the one-shot that Oda plans to write after One Piece about robots will be about these ancient robots
Id like to see JoyBoys story, and through that we'll see the ancient kingdom, it's downfall, all the technology and likely learn about the space pirates as well
So I know it was rhetorical but I just had to answer you Tekking. Light-sabers color depends on the "type" of force the user is most in tuned with. Additionally they are powered by crystals and when an evil force user tries enough they can crack the crystal to make it "bleed" and turn red. As time passes some Jedi have there sabers color change slowly, like Ashoka with her Yellow-Green colored saber.
there is actually a reason behind why there arnt any color changing light sabers in Star Wars. The color of the blade is determined by the color of the crystal used to make it.
If we can’t duplicate any of the ancient structures like the pyramids or temples in Egypt, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Göbekli Tepe in Turkey, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, or Ta Prohm temple with a stegosaurs carving on the wall, Bolivia with the H structures with such perfect 90 degree angles with no modern equipment, Our Ancient past was way ahead of us, but all or a lot of these structures have been estimated to be before a global flood, like someone resetting humanity back to square one.
Hey Tekking, if you want to know about the INSPIRATION behind the "Void Century", the "Ancient Kingdom", and the "D."... you might want to look into the "Black Legend", the "Hispanic Empire" and the iberian "D."
Celestial Dragons: "Aha! Look at us world we made a Boat! With Cannons on it!" Void Century Empire: "Ahh thats cute... We made Airships! They're like boats but they can fly! Heck they can even go underwater too! And we've armed them with LASERS!! But keep trying you'll figure it out eventually!" Scholars: "And we historians believe this may have been one of the root causes of the Void Century... Or at least thats what I think happened... Cool right?"
Tekking my boy, lightsaber color is dependent on the semi-sentient crystal that powers it attuning to the Jedi that wields it. The reason Sith blades are red, for instance, is that they forcibly bend the Kyber Crystal in their blade to submit to them and align to the Force in a particular way. This makes the Crystal "bleed" and changes the beam's color. That's why there's a color theory for lightsaber beams as it relates to a given Force user, but it only really applies to Jedi since Sith all end up with red ones.
A thought crossed my mind. I know Professor Clover is supposed to be dead by a gun shot but what if he survived and he is "the man marked by flames". Ohara was buster called to oblivion and fire spread through out the island and if Professor Clover survived it would make sense he is the man marked by flames since he knows the truth
There are thing's in star wars called dual phase lightsabes, they have more than one crystal in the saber than they can change color and length, but only one crystal will be activated at a time
Nipple lights should have the same power as the flash dials in the guns of the shandorian warrior on skypiea, blind enemy as you shot or blow them up. Maybe poneglyphs have microfiche written on it and you need a laser computer to read a lot of information on it?
Any predictions for the next Tekking cover story? Barry D. Brick's Globe Trotting Vacation was great but I think it'd be cool if we explored the tiny hole of nothingness in the background
Is it only me or that giant robot at the end of the chapter looks exactly like Oars? Maybe the ancient civilization was made of such huge people? Could explain the giant straw hat in Imu's castle though

But usually, only one colour per Lightsabre at a time.
If your curious its cause the color of the blade of a light saber is deternind by the crystle used to form it and it will not change unless you make it "bleed"/curropt it which turns it red or heal a "bleeding" crystle which turns it white
Interesting when you consider that Dragon likely knows everything Vegapunk does. With that considered, Sabo seemed very surprised about Imu does that mean Vegapunk is not aware of Imu or is Dragon holding secrets?
very likely that dragon is holding plenty of secrets
The TLDR for why color changing lightsabers don't exist is that there's a lot of in-universe spirituality involved in determining lightsaber color. Technically you can turn any saber red and turn a red saber white, but it takes a loooong time to do.
Technology is everything!!!
That may be that’s case.
But on this Channel GEOGRAPHY IS EVERYTHING!
I wonder if Franky ever mentioned that pluton can be built with current level of technology
Your great tekking love the video keep it up
Buddy your fake
I think its possible that the Gorosei may not know that Vegapunk has had access to the ancient technology. Like maybe the technology was frozen and hidden on the island until it all melted. I mean there's some holes in that since I don't feel like going to deep into it but I feel apart of that is realistic.
We are in an era of one piece where soo many crazy things are happening. It's truly something cool to witness.
Love the video and keep up the great work tekking
Now i want a scene where vegapunk is jamming in a server basement while the 3d scan of a poneglyph and its script are run through a program that compares the script to every known writing like in the first blade movie
Tekking i genuinely love when you zone in at discussing one piece
Hello, I think theres poneglyphs in Egghead, including the Road poneglyph. If so, then Roger went to Egghead and learned all of the history of the world, he got the blueprint of the gomu gomu no mi and landed it to Shanks before going to Laughtale. So the information for shanks was, the person to have the inherited will would need the D. on it's name, use the Strawhat and eat the fruit for Joyboy's return.
Blackbeard about to swallow Luffy in darkness: "Zehahahaha!!" Franky activates nipple lights:"Let there be light!"
Senior Pink can't be dead! He has to grab a drink with Franky at the end of all of this!!
Thank you for a great video guys
I don't know Tekking, I'm a paleontologist and we have actual revived dinosaurs in our lab, as well as rocketships because we're working with NASA and ESA to go find fossils on Mars
If one piece world ends up being earth but thousands of years in the future it'd be a cool twist
That actually possible, but it could also be a ancient colony .. I mean, we know that there are people up there, in this system at least (the space pirate) ...
this guy is genius. love how manage to smuggle little bits of history and general culture while speak about one piece
Egghead seems to have been a battle field between the ancient kingdoms and the 20 kings
Star wars Light Saber colors are based on the crystal they use
Also of note is that the mech has a horned helmet, and that might link the robot to Elbaf. Perhaps it was a client of the kingdom's weapons?
To quote Robin from TTG I like exposition more than action. I’m dying for void century information
i just had a thought the other day during the review what if vegapunk is related to doctor kureha in someway because like what she's over a hundred and like it would make sense if the two oldest characters were related
meh dumb.
i believe that vegapunk is actually from that time. he managed to gain longevity by turning himself into robots. he is so far ahead of the world, because he was a scientist back in the day of the great kingdom. the WG just let him live to build stuff for them to stay in power.
@@myu2k2 that's a dumbass theory.
that would be dumb as hell.
Devil Fruits, son.
@@donnieconyers2829 Space Pirates say hello.
Tekking... if I didn't love you so much, I would have been fuming over your Star Wars opener
Couple of ideas to mull over:
1) Space-pirates...
Roger finding the one piece and wishing he was around during joyboys time has been given a new meaning with this chapter
Now imagine Shandora fall fighting enemies with that technology and still the city survived
really great video today tekking
Laugh Tale is probably the Ancient Kingdom.
16:05 - It's the language of the birds. It was mentioned in the 1st "The Librarian" movie.
7:54 The Machina War. One of the most interesting lore in all of FF.
As a biologist, I wish our lab would look like Egghead! So much more exciting than our boring benches....
Also den mushi could totally be made by them, also sea kings could be made for them and they put some gene in the royal bloodline of Fishman island that allows them to control them
Happy sunday tekking!
Anyone else get the feeling that Momo's fruit was considered a failure because it was still weak to water. Like Vegapunk perfectly copy Kadio's Dragon fruit but saw the flaw that you get weaker with sea stone and thought that it was not good enough.
I always thought is because the fruit turn you into a pink dragon instead of an azure dragon
@@juanca120 Well Vegapunk now doesn't seem to care about that if he did his bodies would look the same and we can clearly see that color of his own copies of himself does not mark failure
@@haroldflint521 you are right now they don't think much about it but in the past he coulb be more perfectionist
@@juanca120 yeh but Judge can clone people exactly and the pacifistas look like their originals so not sure about your point
Devil fruits are definitely magical in origin and have just been experimented on until they can be produced like they are.
Now that we have more information on the void century I think you should revisit skypiea
But Disney chopped off the Expanded Universe and made their own after they aquired the rights to Star Ward.
in the new canon red lightsabers are made by “bleeding” a regular crystal using the dark side
Given how we saw a giant robot in this chapter I think the one-shot that Oda plans to write after One Piece about robots will be about these ancient robots
yawn.
Tekking, even if you'd given me (a person from 2022) an iPhone and asked to recreate it, I wouldn't have any idea where to start
Indus valley civilization is one of the biggest and oldest but we haven't been able to decode their script. Is that what you wanted to mention?
Hey Tekking, if you want to know about the INSPIRATION behind the "Void Century", the "Ancient Kingdom", and the "D."... you might want to look into the "Black Legend", the "Hispanic Empire" and the iberian "D."
There’s a whole like, 4 part episode of Justice League (animated, just to clarify) that covers this! As well as an episode of Misfits!
If its ancient tech it kinda makes a lot more sense for wg to want him dead
Celestial Dragons: "Aha! Look at us world we made a Boat! With Cannons on it!"
Void Century Empire: "Ahh thats cute... We made Airships! They're like boats but they can fly! Heck they can even go underwater too! And we've armed them with LASERS!! But keep trying you'll figure it out eventually!"
Scholars: "And we historians believe this may have been one of the root causes of the Void Century... Or at least thats what I think happened... Cool right?"
nah that's retraded.
It’s the minoans! However we have deciphered one of the two texts, Linear A is undeciphered and Linear B is partially deciphered lol
A thought crossed my mind. I know Professor Clover is supposed to be dead by a gun shot but what if he survived and he is "the man marked by flames". Ohara was buster called to oblivion and fire spread through out the island and if Professor Clover survived it would make sense he is the man marked by flames since he knows the truth
no.
“He’s gotta have a 3D Printer”
Well they did make the food printer heh
ugh. dumb as hell.
I think everyone has one thing in mind
The island one piece is on might be the ancient kingdom
I was reading chapter 1066 while watching this and seeing you predict everything accurately lol
I was writting the History Channel aliens joke as you mentioned it XD
Senor Pink makes me realize how gargantuan a reveal it would be if they found a way to remove a devil fruit from somebody without killing them.
Lightsaber colors are set you can only change it to red if you bleed it or white if you cleanse a bleeded crystal
Any predictions for the next Tekking cover story? Barry D. Brick's Globe Trotting Vacation was great but I think it'd be cool if we explored the tiny hole of nothingness in the background
Now that I realize it, modeling and 3d printing a ponyglyph doesn't sound like a bad idea...
Is it only me or that giant robot at the end of the chapter looks exactly like Oars? Maybe the ancient civilization was made of such huge people? Could explain the giant straw hat in Imu's castle though
@Tekking101 ancient kingdom that is technologically advance about a millennium i think i have heard about that
look up for ancient India and its library called Nalanda library and look up for why it was destroyed 🤔🤔
hmm, What if the Void Century had basically a utopic gundam kind of look happening. mobile suits walking around, orbital elevators, maybe space colonization was underway, cell regeneration, particle beam technology, etc wouldn't that be interesting
