    Carpet Re-Stretching Before & After
    2-8-2023
Today's job was a full house carpet re-stretch job in Roseville CA where there were buckles/ripples/wrinkles all throughout the carpet in this home.
I stretched 3 smaller bedrooms, the master bedroom with a walk-in closet, the loft area, the hallway, and the stairs.
The rooms did have furniture in them but only a few pieces needed to be moved back and forth for me to stretch the carpet to the wall and get those wrinkles out of the carpet.
This home was getting ready to go on the market to sell and needed the carpet re-stretched to not only look better but also not be a tripping hazard for the new homeowner.
When the carpet has wrinkles that are severely peaked like this they will leave 'stretch marks' after getting flattened out because it was creased for so long. These marks do go away with time after the carpet has adjusted to being flat and has been walked on.
Vacuuming and having the carpets cleaned will definitely help with the appearance of these creased areas as well.

I have a carpet restretch job that I'm bidding. It's installed over concrete, and I will have to open up/cut at least 2 seams. I will need to stretch the carpet to the seam, but I'm unsure how to 'stay off' the carpet at the seams. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

That's kind of a tricky one depending how long the seam is. You can use 2 power stretchers or a crab stretcher to squeeze the seam and just do a little at a time going down the seam as it dries. Or find long enough concrete nails to stay nail the carpet into the concrete.
