Finally, one that shows pet damage instead of just "came loose at the seam". I put cardboard down underneath the door so the pet can scratch on that instead of the carpet, causing more damage, but now I know what can be done before I move out so that I don't have to pay to replace the entire carpet when it's just a tiny bit that has been ruined. THANK YOU!
Do you guys have a company in Sydney? I need to fix my carpet currently renting and idunno where to buy the carpet from to cover it because I cut it out but it's to small and looks noticeable
HELLO!, Watched half dozen vids before hitting this one. if you have any Construction "Know how" this is the vid you want to see on how to replace a patch at doors from Pets digging at them. It's in fast mode (So you don't have to skip ahead of what you already know) It's as simple a VID as it gets to know how to replace a patch of carpet. Especially at a doorway. 5 out of 5 thumbs up!
Definitely have to agree with Floored , Excellent job I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you and Corey do some of the best repairs I have ever seen in my life so like the other comment straight pro

Yes! Here is another video of mine showing how to do it yourself with a steam iron. ua-cam.com/video/kW4A_jkDc5M/v-deo.html If you skip to about 4 minutes in you can see how it works. Thank you for watching!
My daughters pet rat got loose and dug a hole in the doorway. Now I know how to replace the small piece of carpet so I don’t loose my security deposit. I just wish you listed what you were using
You're welcome and thanks for watching.! I buy them off ebay but they seem to be getting harder to find. It's a black and Decker wallpaper steam iron model 1200. Search that online and it should pop up!
Yes it is a latex seam sealer, here is the link - www.homedepot.com/p/Roberts-8-oz-Universal-Carpet-Seam-Sealer-8015-A-4/100077982 But you can also use hot glue.
Finally found a video showing me how to do exactly what I need to do. The only problem I’m having is with the tools needed. I don’t know the names of them and I’m also not sure how to use them. What was the large tool you used to just sat on the carpet and then you used the roller after the tool sat on it? And what did you need that tool for?
I'm happy you found the video helpful and sorry it's not so detailed on what to actually use. Here is another video breaking down the tools I use - ua-cam.com/video/03QinMq-ir0/v-deo.html
Great job; seam looks neat. However one thing I would like to suggest is upgrading the A Kool Glide system, it tends to be more expensive but I’ve had so much good experience with it. With nicer equipment you can charge more premium. Also, try including how you price on your videos. Great job!
Thanks Pablo, I know about the Kool Glide. I'll be getting one sooner or later, just not a priority right now. And I make plenty on my repairs regardless of what equipment I use, but I appreciate you watching. And about pricing in the videos, maybe I'll start.
Yes you can, just make sure to use wet Terry towels so you don't burn the carpet. Here is a video showing how - ua-cam.com/video/kW4A_jkDc5M/v-deo.html
@@justsaygold First time doing it and found pressing the steam button on my iron help created more heat causing the adhesive to stick better. I appreciate the feedback thanks

I threw my cat outside so he wouldn’t scratch my carpet.
How long does it take to R &R the door???

Quality work🔥 awesome vid ✊🏼
Can you use something cheaper than the kool glide. I have a very small hole and dont want to pay that much for it
Of course! You can use a carpet iron or even a clothing steam iron and a few wet terry towels to steam the patch and do the repair.
Can i use a regular iron to heat the adhesive?
Yes you can, just make sure to use wet Terry towels so you don't burn the carpet.

Thank you Floored!
nice one, what software do you use to make you videos?
Thanks! I use a program called Filmora on my computer.
Looks amazing!
what tool are you using to cut the carpet
Crain Tools No. 301 Cushion Back Cutter
So that was seem tape? Is that all it’s called?
There are a couple different names but the most common is hot-melt carpet seaming tape.
What’s the roller called??
Seam Roller...
Anybody know what type of carpet is being used?
Exactly where my cat damaged mine😡
Amazing! Thank u!
You're welcome!
What's the black thing?
A black and decker wallpaper steam iron to melt the seam tape glue under the carpet.
@@justsaygold thanks
Did you use padding, I didn't see you add padding back, and also, what kin dof tape was that you laid down? It looked like strips of wide tape?
0:27 Is where new padding was installed. The tape used is carpet seam tape that has glue which is heated by the steam iron.
Where you buy your iron?
EBay, but they are getting harder to find.
