    I have it. Now I better understand how it works and can use it more often. Thanks for breaking it down to an understandable way to visualize the process!

    Good job Keith, I appreciate you making this video I have people ask all the time about how to stretch with it, while I do not feel comfortable stretching in rooms with it I will not recommend that so since you have made this I now have have somewhere to send them So they can learn the technique

    I have install many thousands of yards over the years with my kneeless with out a call back. The only different is I use the spreder i round the corner wish makes it slide in the carpet. Works much better and install much faster.

    Keith, is it possible to remove an old wall to wall carpet (about 30' x 15'), take it outside, clean and dry it, then bring it back in and reinstall it. I could get new carpet but I really like the style of the old carpet.

      I’ve never heard of that before/ the only problem I see with that is 30x15 will probably have a seam running through and you could possibly disrupt it / but if you want to try to for it and let me know how it went!

    Hi Keith, enjoy your videos! Ive got a kneeless and like it (although im a lot slower with it lol) feel like i get a better stretch with it than with the knee kicker. My only concern is with the pins on the stretcher being so long. Ive bent a couple on concrete floor and wandered how you get around this? As you don’t seem to have this problem. Thanks

      @KeithShannonDirectCarpet  2 роки тому +1

      I’ve had that problem for years and I am going to make a video about it! The soloist ion is to take a pair of players or snips and cut off the tips then they don’t bend and snag🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

    Lol there was still a bubble in that corner you did on left of sliding door.
    Good little tool to replace a kicker, but id never use this over the crain stretcherfor a full room 👍.

      Agreed Adam. There is no way this is an adequate stretch (especially for commercial carpet over pad). Yes , it may be okay for "setting", but it opposes itself too much to allow the carpet to stretch adequately. Your technically only stretching the carpet for the length of the tool itself.

    Will this tool work on removing buckles?

  • @joehollah6911
    @joehollah6911 9 місяців тому +4

    But this is literally not stretching the carpet it's only stretching the width of the kicker

      That why its on an angle, to oppose the carpet back to the wall behind. The pressure generated by a full pump would easily pull the tack strip from a wood floor sixteen feet behind him. Trust me the thing has power. I also use a crane pole power stretcher.

    Does it come with cotton teeth as well? Those spikes seem really extreme for loop piles and velvets.

    I'm surprised you could stretch that low pile carpet, and I'm guessing home depot? Guessing by gold pad
    But no I'm honestly impressed every time working with that style of carpet, not easy to stretch
