Thanks, and I agree with that, got about an hour of riding out of the blast last week but it didnt last long. Hopefully when the snow gets here we get a lot of it
I really appreciate your videos man your builds are so cool !! but try to film some more content like the handlebars, the conception of all the pieces like the running boards, the bumper and the mounts for the skid so , all that stuff you build yourself =) Im hurry to see the next video !!
@@adaminthemitten8940 Appreciate it! I am from Southern Michigan and been looking a building a mod sled but before I jump into it I want to make sure it's something I could tackle
We should go riding together this winter. Im in Waterford Mi I have some amazing riding less than 5 minutes from me. Some kind of real back country stuff.
are the front shocks adjustable ? i have a 1990 exciter and i was wondering is there a nut or something to tighten or do i have to buy new springs ? nice work it looks great !!
@@adaminthemitten8940 no thank you I’m 15 and I watch these videos and they motivate me to go do stuff with my snowmobile I bought this cheap sled and your videos give me really good ideas to make it look better and perform better
I usually put the new track in and put the new skid in and pull it tight into the track and mount it there. Probably not the best way but it's worked for me so far
Can you please answer a question about the phazer electrical system? I saw you have some light bars, I want to add a led bulb in the stock headlight on a 94 phazer 2 but Ive heard the phazer puts out its AC current and the bulb is for DC how did you make yours work? Thanks
On the 151 inch sled I installed the battery since the sled was originally an electric start sled, then I connected the light directly to the battery with it's own switch so that it pulled power from the battery in DC form
man i just picked up a 1993 exciter 2 sx and my frony shocks are bad i need some help on what to do with them i just wanna rip it this year lol thanks man cheers. its a TSS front suspension looks like yours
When you say the shocks are bad what do you mean? If the pogos arent extended out all the way it could be the springs inside worn out or it could be the linkage seized up and holding it down, I've seen both.
Love the build. Currently doing up a phazer pretty much identical to yours. Only question, why the braces for the running boards across the foot slots?
What did you use for cable extensions? Picked up my 136 skid and track tonight out of a 90s arctic cat. This weeks mission is mocking it up to test. Fingers crossed everything goes smooth
@@teejayleonard7935 I use the factory throttle cable and I use a brake cable from a bravo 250, you just have to get creative to connect it to the brake

Keep up the good work mad like the video a lot not a lot of people out there doing videos like this.
The rails need to be for the same length track you use. The track needs to have the correct pitch so it will work with the drivers and also needs to be 15 inches wide. As long as they are compatible you could use almost anything
Awesome video, wondering where I can find that seat on eBay also how big of a track can I run keeping it relatively stock besides gearing and clutching 1.75? Thanks
I just searched "chinese quad seat" on ebay and theres a bunch of options. And 1.75 will fit in stock but you'll have to take a hammer to the front of the tunnel to clearance it
"Its not a problem, but its a little bit of a problem"...LOL! BTW, did you mount that skid front arms to the stock front skid holes in the Phazer tunnel? How is the geometry with the skid lining up? Love this build with the stock motor, so much less figuring than when you did the 600 project.. Can't wait to see the finished product and some ride video's.
Yeah this skid went into the stock front mount holes, the geometry seems fine but the track is a little on the loose side but I can figure that out. That was the point of keeping the 485, it was a much simpler and faster build.
Hey man love the vid I had a question for you, I just bought a phazer and a lot of white smoke is coming out of the exhaust, much more than normal, do you have any ideas of what it could be?
Thanks! It could be a lot of things, I would check the cable that goes from the throttle to the oil pump and make sure it's free. It could just need to be run a little too.
Thank you for the idea the oil cable was messed up and wasn’t seated correctly but just had it out for the first time this season and it wouldn’t run over 5500 rpms and only went like 45mph. Is this normal? If not do you have any ideas?
@@ianjacobson2121 you ever solve this??? I had same issue was in carbs over and over there stupid clean. @@joe964 hey joe I did figure out what it was, one of the choke plungers was completely missing a spring, so one of the plungers on the carb was stuck and I’m pretty shure it was only running on one cylinder so I fixed that and also switched it over to premix and it was running amazing then it broke the track in half😂 so I put a 136 skid and track on her cause why the hell not! Then first ride something went wrong and now it has an awful bog when you hit the throttle but idles great.
I sandblasted the chassis with a blaster attached to a pressure washer, for the plastics I just scuffed them up with a scotch brite scuff pad (shouldve used adhesion promoter). And the paint and primer is just cheap Rustoleum stuff, Sail Blue is the color I used.
You rock bro. The perfect ski for my stealth boat 👍
Looking good! Now we just need some darn snow. I'm up in the U.P. and don't even have an inch of it. It's crazy.

The supports for the running boards are in the way of your foot wells.
I like the running boards! May do the same thing for my SRV, they are a bit tired!
Srvs were the shit back in the late 80s early 90s awesome machine, fast as frig.
Glad to see another video we will have to do a phazer meet up this winter and ride

Can you do a video on each of your phazer mod sleds of how you mounted the suspension and the track in the tunnel?
That's seems like something I could do, working on a video on the red phazer right now but I'll see what I can do

What drive gear did you use for the track? The oem phazer one?
Yes, this one is the standard phazer drive
That’s awesome, still waiting for snow in the UP 😂😂
Hi quick question on secondary clutch is the bolt right or left handed
are the front shocks adjustable ? i have a 1990 exciter and i was wondering is there a nut or something to tighten or do i have to buy new springs ? nice work it looks great !!
As far as I know they are not adjustable, I do have new springs for mine so I may make a video about it

what is the ski stance on these old phazers?. im turning a exciter 570 liquid cooled. into a phazer with the same liquid cooled engine
Do you remember what paint color is called? I’m searching for this color. I’m going to accent it with grabber green.
If I remember right it was "sail blue"
Did u use clear coat on the machine?😎
Where did you find that seat?
On ebay, just search for "chinese quad seat"
What kid of skid would just bolt on with no modifications?
So does the ski doo skid a direct fit besides having to make the brackets at the rear?
Pretty much, I feel my track on this blue sled is a little loose but that may be the track since it is used
How do you know where to put the mounts for the new skid?
I usually put the new track in and put the new skid in and pull it tight into the track and mount it there. Probably not the best way but it's worked for me so far
