- NEW Turtle Convenience stores at 24 BTS Skytrain stations in Bangkok. The shops are on the middle platform of the stations. Easy to buy your food and groceries before you go home. They open every day from 6 am till 11 pm.
The NANA station Turtle Shop opened a few weeks ago. I had a check inside during a rainy day. Raining Season is around the corner.

I love it that you constantly and consistently updates about new "happenings" in Bangkok. I am missing Bangkok because this year I visited KL instead, and won't be either next year (visiting elsewhere). I fell in love with Bangkok since my 2nd visit in 2017 and had visited every year, except only for 2021 & 2022. 🐢 Turtle stores' concept is a brilliant idea, since many smaller tenants cannot sustain low sales in BTS stations that often looks sad and vacated. Making each station feels very lonely late at night.
Just came across your channel. One of the best on Bangkok
We used the same store's shop at the Chong Nonsi station - very handy at times!
Yeah these are super convenient, find myself popping in there all the time. Also got a pretty nice umbrella at one too when i got caught out
Man, I like your super friendly "A good Afternoon or A good Evening" when you start a widjio 🤣
Greetings from Chicago!
Thanks for this great update. I watch loads and loads of video's from you again, but always forget to "drop a line"
Going to Thailand soon, maybe we bump into eachother one day. Till then, take care Jeroen! Thanks for yet another great videoooo
Love ❤️ Thailand and Bangkok a Mega City with always good surprises, thanks for show us 😊🤘🏼🇹🇭☀️💦
Nice to get your shopping on your way home.
Thanks Jeroen! Always good seeing you.
Nice one, Jeroen, those turtle shops are so convenient when you have forgotten something while in the station.
Thanks again for your wonderful input. 👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
There so many Turtle stores nowadays 😂
Nice to see and Good to know about these Turtle Shops. 🙏
Thank you Jeroen ! The world is drowning in plastic and packaging waste 👋
Thanks for the update Jeroen 😃👍🏼

Welcome to Thailand ❤❤❤
Loving that music overlay again @ 3.28m 😅
These always come in clutch when looking for water after getting to the skytrain
Looks great...nice to have some competition to 7-eleven
Cheers as jereon,,,,,,,,peace and happiness 😊😊😊
Convient and a bit sad at the same time..Cheers👍
Love it❤❤❤
it's more like obstacle store than convenient store, it just blocks the space from commuting during the rush hour.
Thank you
Oh I miss this so much 😢 Thanks Jeroen
What a great idea. I wonder if you will see this expand to some of the stations farther from Bangkok’s center. Thanks for sharing the great video Jeroen.
Thank you for your update
I see some turtle shops around yes
Turtle mini mart., was already there in the BTS Nana station since I was staying in nana hotel there last year.
Nice minimart in BTS station 😮🙂👍🤗😊🫰🎊🎉
Which stations do have turtle? Btw. really like your videos
Nice vlog i ❤ Thailand🙏🙏🙏
I went through Nana and Asok last month and noticed these shops. I didn't think much but I noticed the nice cold air blasting out the doors and I thought about going in just to cool off for a minute!
Nice shop.
The Turtle shop offers discounts for the use of Rabbit Card.
Obviously, the primary reason people have Rabbit cards is for the 50% + discount on BTS travel costs for those that purchase monthly travel passes.
So, monthly pass is back? Is it available for tourists? Can it be purchased at every BTS station for CASH??? Or only via app and with credit card. Asking this bcz a friend purchased something in Thailand online and her credit card got blocked while she was 10,000 km from her home. So, option with CASH would be very welcomed if this is available for foreigners! If there is no cash option can our Thai friends purchase this with their credit card and we give them cash in the same time???
Also, can we buy more than one monthly package if we use more rides (I see 35 trips are offered at 1,155 baht)? Would be very helpful if you or Jeroen could figure this out! I remember this option was available more than 10 years ago but than it was abandoned. Glad to see it back bcz even though BTS seems cheap, it actually is not, and it's so easy to spend 100 USD or more in a month just on BTS. So, this savings are great even for foreigners who explore the city a lot and use BTS while doing so. Thank you!
It doesn’t make much sense to reduce the available area for people to move through the BTS stations - for something that’s easily available outside the stations
Hope to teach you the difference between “bring and take”. Most Americans don’t know , no reason why you should.. thanks for the vid . I used the bots yesterday and didn’t notice the change
I thought the store sell a turtle 🗿
So the walkthroughs are now blocked by more unnecessary, renamed 7 Eleven's!
Wat een luxe zeg, slim bedacht.
Not sure if using this space in the BTS stations for additional convenience stores is a good idea specially during office hours... The stations look a bit cramped now.
I hope it's not gonna kill the smaller shops.
“No minimum to buy” as an American I am happy to know this, this applies to all convenient stores here in the US. Now in the US, especially here down South, if you use the gas station or convenience store toilet - the bare minimum is to buy a soda or a candy bar, or else it’s considered disrespectful 😣 - do they practice this in Bangkok?
Interesting video.
Turtle stores are nice and convienient. But they cannot keep up with 7/Eleven when it comes to air conditioning as the doors are nrarly permanently opened by people who use the shop only as a "transit" place from one side of the station to the other.
And I wonder how all the the goods are delivered to the shops as it might be difficult when there only is one small lift from street to concourse level where the shops are located. I have to observe that one day. 555
does 7-eleven not allow card payments under 200 baht for just credit cards or ALL cards i.e. debit cards as well?
Used it always to pass and get a bit of aircon
Haha, yes good for cooling off!
Regarding your comment about Transit being complicated in Bangkok I'd argue that Tokyo is much more complicated when you look at a transit map. Tokyo also has several companies running different transit systems like Bangkok. Getting around Tokyo (while efficient) felt more complicated then Bangkok. Ideally it would be nice if all transit operators in Bangkok would use card to ride the network vs two or three.
Yes, waiting for the spider card for many years.
Thanks for sharing 🙌 And yes, the 200 Bhat limit of 7-Eleven is super annoying. I think it was introduced after FamilyMart left Thailand. Happy to see that the Turtle Shops jumping in!
If you go into it backwards to you get stuck
Haha
The rabbit and the turtle??? I think you mean the hare and the tortoise!
Its all the same.
Thank you, yours updates are also a way for feel in Bkk, too.
Do you know if opened Metro mall at queen conventional center mrt station?
The QSNCC Metro Mall is in this video ;-)
@@globaltravelmate 😅 I didn t uderstand,sorry
Hare and the Tortoise
So called because a hare is fast and the tortoise is slow
Not sure a rabbit would beat a turtle in a swimming race. 🏊♀️🏃♂️➡️
Well, we don't have the "Hare" Card for the BTS and the shop is not called Tortoise. I needed to work with the names they gave me. Haha.
@globaltravelmate in another universe you would have been right 😞
Every BTS station has a Turtle shop?
Not all. There are 24 shops now.
When you talk about credit cards are you also referring to debit cards?
I find the use of term credit card extremely problematic as many websites refer to only credit cards and do not mention debit cards notwithstanding the sites accept debit cards.
Also you did not mention direct transfer from your bank account and the Turtle bank via the use of a QR code.
In 7-Eleven you need to spent a minimum of 200 THB to be able to use your credit card. This is what I was refering to. You can just pay with your debit card without issue as far as I know.
I did not know that 7-eleven dont accept Credit Cards under 200 THB
U are like the dude. Paying for milk with credit 😆
@@DarkoFitCoach Half & Half with a $.69 check?

Think you mean tortoise and the hare 555
Haha, yeah I know. But the BTS card is called the "Rabbit" card and the shop is called "Turtle". Hence the Rabbit and the Turtle 555
@@globaltravelmate oh right!!
I hate these Turtles so much they’ve taken up so much needed thoroughfare space in the stations
Maybe in a Sense but I feel like it utilizes a Dead Space! The only Inconvenient Part is having that Map in the center and figuring out to navigate which way you want to go for Visiting Folks!
Exactly - especially when everything thats for sale in those turtle shops is available in other shops near the BTS
The 200 Baht 711 that’s a shame! Maybe 50 baht I’d understand! Idk why they are doing it maybe a lot of Bounced cards?
Hi J - I was in BKK last week and was surprised to see these Turtle shops are now at virtually every BTS! I used it to grab a few cold drinks on my way back to my hotel instead of having to go down to street level and find a 7 Eleven.
I assume these are somehow linked with the SuperRich (orange) money exchanges as I see some of them are now branded SuperRich Turtles ?
