From Arizona…I bought 1 pepper plant and 1 tomato plant in February for my garden. Heat at 110 is brutal. Two days ago some critter ate all the pepper plant except the stem. And, yesterday the sun cooked the tomato plant so the 3 cherry size tomatoes (Early Girl - should be 3” or so in diameter) are becoming stewed green tomatoes on the vine.

Your tomatoes are doing good in the garden. Nice surprise to come in the mail. We are having 90s all week too. Monday and Tuesday 40 mile an hour wind.
I had State Farm for many years. They decided to cancel our home insurance when we had our home rented out. Told us it was because we did not notify them. LOL, we did notify them, but apparently our Agent did not let Corporate know. HUGE mistake. Got other insurance for home, auto's and never looked back. I like flowers in my garden. 🥀🥀🥀
I would love to have a garden but I'm on a extremely small lot with very little space. Maybe one day I can move to another house with a bigger yard, and a location that isn't in the desert. Take care.
Going to be high 90s with heat index over 100 all week here in Southern Indiana. Looks like we’ll be watering every day. We’ve had Allstate as our insurance since we’ve been married in 1975. They’ve been good to us. We just shopped around and couldn’t get anything cheaper for the same coverage.
My father in law saw two young neighbor kids go into his garden with their little sand buckets. They weren't even 5 years old. Next day he put a lock on it. He had so many tomatoes that they fell and rotted. People are weird about things.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage My Father's neighbor and good friend "shorty" accused my Father of sabotaging his prize corn stalk. They didn't speak for a few years. Shorty was a good friend and even helped me tie my tie when I went for my first post college interview.
We have Allstate and really can't change because we have a grandfathered homeowner's policy that is too good to lose. Our pay-per-mile auto policy just jumped up a lot, so I have my agent looking into that. Have fun with the giveaway. LOL - I'll stay out to increase everyone's odds. 🙂
Great to hear another ramble and to see your garden coming along well. We've been working hard to keep ours weed-free, but for a few reasons we haven't planted much this year. Thank you for sharing. About a month before we lost our 34-year-old daughter to ovarian cancer in 2020 State Farm (not knowing her condition) sent her one time increase in benefits at no extra charge. We didn't think we would need it but she signed it and sent it in. State Farm paid the extra $10,000 when she passed. Coincidence? A gift from above? We used the extra to secure our plots (cremation boulder). Sorry to read about your son. I hope you're getting along OK. I know, from experience, how tough it is. Buzz
My husband and I are retired, a year into it. I do work part time. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and my husband is a diabetic. We had figured the diabetes would take him first and my health was great at the time. You can see how fast things can change. They gave me a 1 1/2 and I’m still here 4 years later. They got the cancer cleared up for about a 10 months and then came back twice. Haven’t suffered at all physically, mentally it’s a little harder. I now enjoy each day and don’t take anything for granted. We both have burial insurance. Our place is paid off and no debt. With S.S and pension we bring in 5,000 and with the part time job it bumps it up to 7,000. My S.S is more than my husbands and my pension is set up for him to have if I go first and if not it will revert back to 100% for me. As long as I am feeling good I will continue with my part time job that is super easy. I do all of he yard work and taking care of the home. We have 5 grown married children and 18 grandchildren. Travelers cancelled my homeowners insurance because I live more than 7 miles from a fire department (9.4 miles). We have a fire hydrant right across the street. Getting harder and harder to get insurance out in Rural America. Each year my premiums went up, (I get that) but not having your policy renewed was really a pain. Just seems unfair that you are a loyal customer but they change the rules in the middle of the game, so to speak. I understand how insurance works but still just rubs me the wrong way. Now I'm with 3 different companies (one for my home/farm, one for my AirBnB, one for my vehicles) I'm with your wife, I like LImu the Emu. LOL. Your garden looks great.
Different states and communities have different rates and coverages and some, like you said, have no coverage. Just another game in life that we have to play. Emu? Really? Lol

The garden is looking good. Water it good during the heat.
Going to be a week straight of 90. Not unusual for many places but not normal this early in Cleveland.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage I’m about 1-1/2 hours South of you on I-77. We’ll have the same temps. Stay Cool.
Nice garden! It’s going to be hot here in Columbus next week too. Congrats on 11k.
Thank you. Stay cool.
Buzz love your garden and you have great videos and still I love retirement.
Thanks!
Buzz, nice looking back yardyard and garden.
Thanks for watching!
Ur garden is looking great Buzz
Thank you.
I love your garden with your tomatoes. We live here in NW FL and have been having lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash from our garden. ❤❤ It makes a great hobby for my husband while I do my quilting inside. We have been both happily retired for 9 years now!
Sounds like you're both doing good! Thank you for spending some time with me! Buzz
Emu? Really? Lol
You should do more videos from your garden. It's really looking good.
Needs weeded.
Congrats on your 11k subscribers 🎉 love your tomatoes growing in the garden.
