X pipe really changes the sound, I've seen videos with only muffler deletes for the f10 n55, this is by far the best sounding outside. Please post more outside pulls!!
I actually went back and put a clear coat on it so its now semi gloss, to help protect the actual black paint. But yeah they have tge heat resistant paint in any automotive parts store. Same stuff i used on the engine block
You really only notice the drone when idling. When you're actually driving you don't really hear it. But im also a little hard of hearing, at least that's what my wife says. I also have a 5in straight piped diesel with a 10inch tip. So in comparison the bmw is nothing hahaha
When deleting the mufflers, did you provide the pipes where the mufflers where connecting the tips or did the shop provide that? And if you did, where would you get them?
It was just a local muffler shop. They cut out the muffler and then weld in same size straight pipes where the muffler was. I deleted the resonator and I could have got a new x-pipe section to replace it off of Amazon or ebay but the muffler shop was able to order me one through them for cheaper.
I'm new to the bmw community. I just picked up a 535i. But I noticed some videos say f10 or m sport. What's the difference? Mine is a 2011 535i 3.0l v6
There's a noticeable drone, but for me it isn't that bad. The BMW has really good sound deadening in it so if the windows and doors are done then it's not bad. I keep my radio on, not even up 25% and I can't hear the drone with the music on.
Can u tell me whats the name of that mode at the end of the video (sounds like burble),and what stage it is ? Or its coming only from the new exhaust system ? Thanks
No check engine light with just a muffler and resonator delete. You will get a check engine light when you upgrade the downpipe though because it has the built in catalytic converter in it. You then just need to run the bootmod or mod software to clear the code and youre all set.

It's mainly for better sound. More aggressive tone from exhaust. I will be swapping out my downpipe for a catless one soon which will actually give a little better performance and less exhaust gas temp.
It was on the way to and from the shop, cops love running radar so I wasnt gonna go crazy there. Ill post a video soon with me going faster so you can hear the exhaust at that speed as well lol not that it'll change. It was more so you can hear the sound difference when it revs high then shifts a few times.

BMW's have a built in limp mode until the engine warms up and wont let you rev past dangerous levels. Probably wasn't a cold start

F10 is the generation id. Msport is the trim package

Just stock tune. The pops are when the car is revving down quickly

You do not need to replace the whole bumper, just the diffuser. That's the small section in the bottom middle.

I still have the stock catalytic converter installed. I will be getting the evolution raceworks catless one in the future.

Probably or close to it. The eco mode is pretty good at saving gas, it just has a very slow response time.

Its the msport steering wheel. I have a 2015 BMW 535i msport.

It was just normal stock exhaust tubing. I didn't do any fancy metal pipes because it was basically a patch job instead of a full exhaust swap.

Car is completely stock minus muffler delete and new exhaust tips. Stock tune, just started it in sports mode.
If you have a comfort sport switch it will burble and pop when you put it in sport

Yeah thats the stock pipe size.
I wanted to go 3.0" but it would have been too diffuser to fit in the middle section without it vibrating on each other or on the tunnel area.
