I got a 2.5-inch inlet and a 4-inch outlet. I don't exactly remember the millimetric conversion, but it was 2.5 and 4 inches, inlet and outlet, respectively.
I got 63mm inlet, and ~101mm outlet. Make sure they're the H-Style in the correct orientation. Depending on the overall length, it may or may not fit. As far as I've tried, these (the ones I have installed) do, of course, work.
Hey I’m looking to do this soon, I wanted to ask if the cutouts came with the pipe turned down ? Or did you purchase a pipe that’s turned down and welded it to the cutout ?
For the downturn, my muffler shop actually had some, so they just used the ones they had in stock. I'd definitely ask the muffler shop (if you take it to one) if they have some they can use, or if you'll have to supply them. Maybe you can weld yourself, but as for the product, it did not have the downturn pipes, it'll just shoot straight out.
@@MotoRevs do you think I can install it using exhaust clamps and just clamp it to the pipe ? I’m reinstalling stock muffler and I was gonna weld but my buddy who’s a technician told me he could cut it and just connect the muffler and the cutout with the clamps, what would you do in my shoes because I am stuck whether to weld it or not
Well, that's an option. You can definitely use clamps to hold it on, but be weary of exhaust leaks, as, obviously, a clamp won't seal the exhaust gasses as well as welding would. I'd say that's a pretty good idea, especially for quick and easy removal and reinstallation.
@@MotoRevs the reason I wanna try clamps is to have the option of removing if I want to switch up anything without having to redo the weld and pay more money. I’ll let you know what I do. And did the kit come with the cord extension only one? Or do I need both extensions you provided from the link ?
The kit didn't bring any cord extensions. One cable is just slightly longer, but not nearly long enough to reach where I put mine. You'd have to buy the extensions if you plan on putting your valves where I put mine.
Tbh this the best option. I have Valved Mufflers and it’s a great tone but not enough. Going back to stock mufflers and Cut outs to get more of that Diesel & turbo sound.
I agree, for sure. I was looking at some valves mufflers, but they probably wouldn't have such a difference between open and closed, and they might drone. And yes, you'll get that turbo whistle. A lot of it, it sounds great.
That's awesome! I'm happy for you. I actually made a fully in-depth tuning guide for the MHD flasher on my channel - assuming you go down the MHD route, that is. As for helping you, I'd love to, but I don't meet with my viewers in person for many reasons. You are in Houston, though, so you could come to one of my car meets, BCF Meets, in the future. That'd be great for both of us, and I could see you there, for sure.
Thanks for the advice! i got the same ones and im having them put on right at this moment actually! How long did you have them for? just wondering about the quality as the guy at the shop said the valves may not last because they’re from ebay so that got me a little worried. thanks for the video and i really like what you do for the bmw community! keep up the good work brother 🍻
I started following you about a week ago after the MMI pro video and i love your videos, you’re probably much younger than me but i look up-to things you do to your car and it inspired me to some to my car. I have 2012 535xi absolutely loaded to the brim with sport seats, cooled and heated and massaging front seats heated back seats 4 zone air conditioning etc etc it has it all, but its not M package, I was wondering if mine and yours have the same engine, I will put a M body kit on it and want to tune it and put exhaust on it but want to know if its worth it for my engine, if its different than the M package ( my engine 3.0 V6 300hp)
Thank you, man! I really appreciate your words. I would've loved to have one as loaded as yours, but maybe next time... and, yes, that's my engine! Although, just for an FYI, BMW actually doesn't use V-configuration engines, unless it's a V8, V10, or V12, so, yes, we have the same engine, the N55; a 3.0 litre Single (Twin-Scroll) Turbo Inline-6! As for the M-Package, I had to have it. I just love how it looks, and for me, at least, it completely changes the car. I'd definitely look into it because with your (our) engine, you'd definitely have a lot of fun with it, as well as it being all wheel drive. That car could be pretty scary on the roads if tuned correctly.
Hey guys, I uploaded my version of this specific setup but the only difference is that I have a res delete unlike this video. Check it out on my shorts incase you want to know how the resenator being off sounds accompanied with the cutouts before the muffler.
Bro that sounds INSANE! DUDE! SO SICK! Absolutely love the quiet/insane sound toggle! Perfect for a daily!
Honestly, it's literally perfect, I can't get over how well it came out.
well done dude! the shop did a nice clean install too!
I agree! Pronto Muffler always does me right - I've taken all my cars and bikes there, wouldn't trust anyone else.
SICK UPGRADE BROTHER😍
Thank you man! Trying to get mine as cool as yours.
What size did you get for the tips? Like the Input and output
I got a 2.5-inch inlet and a 4-inch outlet. I don't exactly remember the millimetric conversion, but it was 2.5 and 4 inches, inlet and outlet, respectively.
@@MotoRevs thank you I appreciate it 🙏🏻
That size are the tips in MM?
The chrome tips are 104mm, and the exterior carbon fiber wrapped part is 114mm.
Hey when I click on the link for the tips , I don’t know what size mm to choose , can you help me out . On stock mufflers

What is inlet of those exhaust tips? 70mm?
The inlet size is 63mm, and the outlet size is ~101mm.
