If you don't have their hanger you can easily use a plastic one, just shove it in one of the two knob things and lean it to the side.
I didn't realize I need to have all these special tools!!
I let mine sit for a year with some water in it and have some green/black mold or something else in it. Going to soak with with bleach and rinse it after with some warm water. Hopefully I can salvage this one instead of buying a new one 🤘

Try turning the lid counterclockwise until you hear a click then screwing the lid in clockwise
Max Ehrlich-Vandyck tried this and worked straight away cheers, leaked every time before trying this. 👍🏼
Old comment but: The bladder's ring deforms slightly when you hold the handle (think potato chip). This allows the overmolded "gasket" to bunch. Gently tighten while holding the handle. Then, with the bladder on a flat surface, re-loosen then fully tighten the cap. You can use the handle to counter torque but not to hold the weight of a full bladder. Go figure....
how often aree you meant to use a cleaning tablet?
They don't work well on the mil spec ones at all.

Better be sure to get all that soap out because it is a sure fire path to the shit's. I think I will stay with the bleach.
Thanks for the commercial. No need to get all these extra (expensive) extras to clean your Camelbak bladder. A LITTLE added bleach to some hot soap and water for a couple of minutes is quite SAFE and adequate thank you. Afterwards, I dry it out by hanging it on a clothesline outside in the sun. Seriously, you need a Camelbak hanger as well?

@@couchpoet1 Using a very diluted bleach in water, then rinsed, is completely safe. Have you ever swam in a swimming pool? Skin is our largest organ and covers our entire body. You are submerging yourself in a chlorine bath and it's all soaking into your skin. Seems much worse doesn't it?

Protip, just use the camelbak all the time, then there's no such thing as "between uses". I've used the same bladder for years with no breaks in usage, and no bacteria. Go fig.
Can you use Vinegar diluted in water to clean it instead of bleach or the cleaning tablet?
How about Hydro peroxide
Vinegar is great for cleaning but not great for sanitizing.

Life easy ..that we call engineered , second .. the people who just about fucking complain anything without creat anything in there lives. They never understand or accept anything to their mind. $19 for cleaning kit but more than $3,000 for engineering , designer , making a mold then produce it, what you guys think?
Sounds pretty good to me if the cleaning kits sell for $35.
I just put it in the freezer after every ride. Never needed to clean one.

I don't even empty out the unfinished water, this way I have a little ice in there for the next ride. Nerve got sick nor saw mold.

You really should provide clear instructions, this runs counter to another video you guys have, it doesn't show this after using the tabs.
I would not clean anything that I will be drinking from with bleach.
Why not? Do you feel liquid bleach is somehow worse than liquid chlorine? Liquid chlorine is what most municipalities already put in the water supply to keep the pipes clean, so if you drink unfiltered water from your tap, you're already consuming liquid chlorine. Additionally, after a couple of good rinses, all of the bleach will be gone from the reservoir.
It will help clean the bladder.You just have to rinse it real good.If you do then there is nothing to worry about.
I would not either but in my case it is because I am allergic to bleach. Found out you don't have to get the tablets either, just get some of those denture cleaning tablets, they are much cheaper and do just as good a job.

@@Ianisatool keep bacteria from growing. Even after you clean it, if its not completely dry then it can grow especially in the tube. Just makes it easier to manage
