    Vinegar kills bacteria and is what is suggested for my CPAP. Unlike Chlorine which can be toxic in high amounts.

    I always put it in the freezer after use. Been doing it for years with no damage to the reservoir. And it doesn't freeze the reservoir either. Comes right out ready for use..

    I put 2 wisks in mine to open it when drying and soapy water, but even a teeny bit of bleach in water would probably be better. I like the freezer idea too. I wish it came with things to clean both though.

    I think it is a huge rip-off that they are not selling the dryers with the bladders. I have an antidote cleaning kit and got myself a new crux reservoir. Now I need to rebuy the entire cleaning kit just to get the dryer.

    I rinse the bladder and tube with hydrogen peroxide and bottled water blend, then final rinse with bottled water kills any and all bacteria. Then leave filler cap off and let air dry over night.

    Bleach? There is no way I would use diluted bleach. I know Americans like their chlorinated chicken but I think that’s a step too far.

    Dude, the freezer thing is BRILLIANT! Question, I have an old thermobak, and it's not really possible to get it super dry. If I put it into the freezer with some water in it, would it damage anything?

      water expands if you Freeze it... And i mean if you Put water in a Pipe thats welded into a Freeze that will Blow up due to the Pressure being to Create. so act accordingly

    I have a bladder I haven't used in about 7 years, dry stored and it looks as if I cleaned it well at last use. What do you think? Honestly it smells like new inside - plasticy smell. I thought I'll use a vinegar solution to clean it and try it out again.

    Is there somewhere you can find just the replacement seals for the bladder seals? Can only find replacement bladders. Would rather just buy a $2 seal than a $30 bag when bag is fine.

    The interviewer was clearly was not paying attention. He said clean it every couple months. Not sure why she had to ask as how often should you clean it. He then mentions again once every few months. Also if you will be using sugary drinks then cleaning it after each use should be common sense. A lot of people lack common sense.

    • @SkiPlayLiveTV
      @SkiPlayLiveTV  5 років тому +1

      LOL. Someone else needs to listen more closely- 1) the sugary beverage info is right at the end of the interview. 2) HE offered the info that you DEEP clean every few months with bleach cut with water or cleaning tabs. 3) I was summing up at the very end, asking for clarification about how often you would want to clean it -not necessarily deep clean it and the answer -every FEW months was the same.

    • @billwelch9431
      @billwelch9431 5 років тому +2

      You can get it clean. I used just under boiling degree water and Dawn. Scrubbed thoroughly, shook, repeated, massaged (squeezed/pinched with fingers) the tube with the hot soapy water and ran the solution through tube several times. Then did same with bleach solution a couple times. The mold will die and break loose. Also have used a regular kitchen sink scrub brush to get down in bladder to help scrub.
