Hydration is key in physically demanding conditions and a good hydration kit makes the difference in ease of use and reliability. We now got our hands on one of the latest systems in tactical hydration technology and have to say we're impressed with this reservoir compared to Camelbak its predecessors and its competition as well.
I think you guys are the only channel on UA-cam that reviews equipments like this, which will usually overlooked by other channels

Cheak out Garand Thumb hydration
I have use it for one long summer back in 2010 it was an orange color hydration backpack. The reason I purchase it because that summer was very hot especially if you're collecting shopping carts inside of a parking lot where's no air condition at all. But when I open it the hydration bladder had a odd smell with it has taken me to clean it thoroughly which it was wasn't easy. As what you said I had to get all water out after using each time but never had the chance to buy CAMELBAK WATER CLEANING TABLES & RESERVOIR CLEANING KIT.
And I got lots of compliments from my coworkers and customers ☺ 😊 🙂

Hello all, as is my understanding the handle is not designed to be removed but has anyone done so and if so did it affect the function of the reservoir?

For the mouth piece, do you need to slice the opening on your own? Mine doesn't seem to have the hole opening.
No, it has an opening. When you bite the mouth piece it will open. When you don't, it is almost impossible to see the opening. | Instinct
Nice review man! I've heard a few guys say the water flow is no different than their last mil-spec antidote bladder?. Hope thats not the case?! I liked their old antidote bladders but i recently switch to the source M.C ultimate bladder system. Comes standard with their upgraded mouth piece. This source bladder has an "O" ring inside the cap to precent leakage. I prefer this bladder because the top opens fully for quick filling. I may try the crux to compare. Hike on!
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. We didn't try the version before this one so we can't say but with this one it is almost like drinking from a glass when it comes to water flow. As for source we used them in the past but in our experience they are nowhere near the level of Camelbak. Their mouth pieces were terrible after a couple times of use (not sure if you have a newer mouth piece). Basically their locking system didn't open and we just ripped them by trying to open it. Hi, we bought camel back same design as urs but the water taste plastic even after cleaning, is there any specific cleanser for this item?
There are Cleaning kits and tablets from camelback to keep it clean. However if your camelback is a real one it should not taste like plastic.

Thanks! I know they can take filters from Camelbak themselves (these www.camelbak.com/military/pack-accessories/reservoirs-accessories/CB-91187.html?dwvar_CB-91187_color=Black), but I don't know about other adapters/models though. I Viper

@@Ashurus The hose has a male hydro-lock snap connector on one end and a female shut off valve on the bite valve end. Water can run through the hose if the shut off lever is left open. Filling through the hose would be a very slow process unless you could inject fluid into the hose. You disconnect the reservoir from the hose (which can be left in place in your bag) and just fill the reservoir up before reconnecting it back to hose. It's very easy.
Bought the 3l one filled it and immediately the twist cap started leaking

@@ReconBrothers REI. I exchanged it for another one....same thing but worse. So I ended up getting an osprey and the zip top hydrapak that came with it works perfect at half the price. Camelback quality has gone straight downhill, look at other videos on youtube people had the same issue, tons of complaints about it on reddit as well all the same thing massive leaking at the cap of the reservoir. At a price over 100 dollars that's just unacceptable
@@defyzs7657 Never heard of that company. But I can tell you that those sales are pretty rediculous for a Camelbak retailer. Makes me wonder whether they are the genuine products. We have used and sold this product for years and never had a single complaint. Hope you are good with the solution you now have.

Would never buy Camelbak again. Not easy to clean. And the cap leaks very fast. Maybe they can’t choose there own drinking bag in the army. But there are much better drinking bags or bottles with drinking tube out there.
