I was planning on using revaroom in my first playthrough until I spotted tinkaton the dual fairy/steel typing and gigaton hammer move pit tinkaton over the top definitely using it on next playthrough though
I also want to use Kilowattrel in a playthrough, though I think it is easier to use in doubles. That said, slap a Pelipper onto your team to set up rain, and watch Kilowattrel shred with Hurricane and Thunder. Add Tailwind to activate it's ability and for team support, and Volt Switch to get out of tight spots.
I used Espathra on my team, Flittle is terrible and it was a slog carrying that thing around until it reached the high evolution level needed to become Espathra, but it was totally worth it. I know it has a bit of a weird design which is maybe why people don’t like it so much but I think it’s a really cool psychic type combining elements from ostriches, Cleopatra and flamenco dresses so I’m a big fan of it. Its speed was a big help in many of the tougher fights.
You can catch a perfect IV former Titan Klawf and Orthworm for the play through. You forgot the Mirror Herb strategy to give Klawf Crabhammer. Orthworm can also use Body Press and change its Tera typing to Electric to have no weaknesses.
I used Paldean Tauros (Aqua Breed) on my team in Violet, and it was an amazing companion. Mine had the Anger Point ability when I played the main story (I have since used an Ability Capsule to swap that ability for Intimidate), but I will never forget challenging Larry and his first Pokémon got a crit on my Tauros which allowed me to sweep the rest of his team. 😂
My Orthworm was the only reason I was able to beat Atticus of Team Star. Immune to Poison type moves and packing strong ground types to deal super effective damage against his Pokémon, it was just perfect. I kept him for the rest of my playthrough. I nicknamed him Wormie. 😃
The funny thing about Paldean Tauros is also a certain element of surprise. There are three different types but theyy all share the same name, so when you see "Trainer is about to send Tauros" you have no idea which one will be.
I used both Farigiraf and Espathra on my first playthrough team at one point and dam they're good, getting an Espathra ready for the Cinderace Raid to show it's not as frail as people say it is
I love Gogoat and have always felt it needed more love. When I stumbled on a random shiny Skiddo I was elated, first time I remember actually getting excited finding a shiny. Took that thing through the end of the game and it did more work than either Annihilape or Tinkaton.
Espathra is really underrated indeed, when I faced Geeta that thing nearly took out my best pokemon and I had to use 3 full restores and switch out due to Lumina Crash, and that pokemon it nearly took out I used to sweep all the elite four (Skeledirge with max EVs that are evenly spread through every Stat and was almost level 80)
I did use Florges because I felt like I had used other Fairy types like Gardevoir and Primarina a bit too much. But I did not like Fairy yet in gen 6, so I ignored Florges then. Using it in this gen was the change to give it the respect I never gave it at first in my eyes.
Espathra is actually considered one of the best Special Attackers for high end raids and I'm working on my shiny one. Can't wait to give her lots of love! I tend to use Talonflame as a Physical Attacker, so I may give Oricorio a try! I love Orthworm and Klawf's shinies so I wanna use them when I get them. I'd love your take on a nice physical moveset for Raichu. I think Raichu is rather underrated.
I used both Orthworm(who I named Big Jimmy) and tauros(who I named Bull Nye) on my in game team. Those two pulled more weight than anything else. Just giving Orthworm the rocky helmet made him stupid.
I used Oricorio in an Alola playthrough once and I absolutely hated it. The issue with having Oricorio on your team is that its form might as well be cosmetic for a long time. It doesn't learn any Electric, Psychic, Fire, or Ghost type moves whatsoever; instead it has its signature move Revelation Dance which changes type alongside Oricorio. As a move, it's fine; it's a base 80 power special attack and Oricorio is a special attacker. No, the issue is that you don't get Revelation Dance until level 40. Oricorio's movepool is very shallow, so it's not really going to do anything besides spam Air Cutter for a very long time. If you run into any situations before then where a Electric/Psychic/Fire/Ghost type would be useful, Oricorio isn't going to help whatsoever.
Arboliva and Dachsbun are imo very underrated, I'm using both of them in my Scarlet playthrough and they've been fun to use also Dachsbun's ability is really good too
I really like flamigo. It's essentially just a tankier Hawlucha, that somehow hits harder. Though slower, is still has a respectable 90 base speed stat. I love my derpy freight train hitting Flamingo. It save me from several tough spots.
I am using a Male Espathra on my current Violet team as Flittle just evolved I was excited to find out it could be Male. These are my teams on Scaret and Violet Scarlet Quaquaval Kilowattrel Pawmot Scovillain Farigiraf Baxcalibur Violet Skeledirge Kilowattrel Palafin Espathra Cetitan Daschbun
I never used tauros in a playthrough before but I felt compelled to use it on my first playthrough and it was one of the strongest members of my team. I used water variant and it came in clutch against many tough battles, like Hassle who nearly swept my entire team, but Tauros saved me from my first loss.
I think the main reason most people didn’t use revivroom is cause of how it and its evolution appear fairly late in the game so most likely when you first encounter it you probably already have an established team by this point.
I can attest to Lokix being good. I used one my first time playing through Violet and she was really good. Her Moveset during the League was Leech Life, Ace Kick, First Impression, and I think Aerial Ace. I gave her the Expert Belt as the held item.
My Orthworm, Faputa the Undying, lived up to his name! He was a powerhouse, honestly I used him more than my starter. Not only is Orthworm really cute, but it also has surprisingly good speed for how bulky it is
I came to learn more about new mons not ones the world has already talked about and researched, this just felt like I was watching older vids from older Gens
I put espathra as my best psychic type on my list from a recent video, also espeon is another pure psychic type, and its stats are literally just gardevoir but better
A few things: Technically you fight 6 Revaroom since the Poison type team star has a regular one before the starmobile Floeges is awesome. It was the first fairy type I used in a plaything in my first playthrough of Kalos. Oddly enough Gogoat has a higher BST than all grass starters as the highest grass start is 530 compared to Gogoats 531.
I actually use the blaze breed Tauros. I catch it before taking on the fire base and give it drill run. It tanks almost everything Melia can do and hits back super effectively with drill run and is immune to burn. Definitely a good Pokémon to take on the fire base (and her dialogue makes more sense after beating her when she gives you flame charge)
If you get its hidden ability Anger Point, it becomes an force of nature on a crit. It is why in competitive doubles people pair it with Meowscarada with Flower Trick because it can tank the blow rather well. And if you give it a good tera type to help deal with its common weaknesses it becomes horrifying
While Venomoth isn't on the list. It's an option for a Tinted Lens Bug-type, if you really want that. Put something to sleep. Dance. Destroy while not giving a crap to type resistances.
Revaroom definitely gave me trouble during the star badge fights and I could tell it'd be really good in battle. I just thought it's design was horrendous so I couldn't convince myself to use it 😂
Interesting thing; Revelation dance is a better version of Tera blast for Oricorio.Even takes on the Tera type. A Trio of it, Costar flamigo and Opportunist Espathra could be fun. Whilst I know it’s impossible, if we ever get more Orocorio forms, I’d love for there to be a vogueing one.
@@bravewater5737 fairy/flying or normal/flying. Steel/flying could also work since there’s a lot of posing and a lot of the arm movements are like if your hands were blades.

And guess what you have a Pokemon with 5 different types in one Pokemon which you can switch anytime and don't forget z -mirror move that move can copy any z move literally 😂. I know it's not on level of rotom but that's good. Hope scarlet and violet players understand that
Thank you for giving orthworn, oricoro and gogoat some love, maybe if I get to do a quaxly run I'll use all 3 on a team because they're some great pokemon honestly that gotten buffed in the games (especially the idea of a ground tera sap sipper gogoat)
Espathra is the only thing I really struggled with when doing the gym challenge. Tulip's Espathra is really strong. Definitely not underrated in my books. I know how dangerous that thing is.
I'm close to finishing a birdkeeper run in Violet, so I can say with confidence that Espathra and Oricorio are GOATS!! Kinda mad I slept on the latter the last few gens but she hits fast and hard, especially once she got Revelation Dance. Espathra is a good special sweeper with an awesome move pool
The fact there are Pokémon here that were on a top 10 Weakest list gives me hope for more Pokémon in the future. On a Sidenote: my underrated Pokémon are Quaquaval and Samurott (when it can come this spring via Home)
Revaroom is on my team since I didn't know about Tinkaton until it was way too late. So when I started a new playthrough on a separate profile I have Tinkaton on my team to tryout.
Espathra actually was a recommend pokemon for Cinderace because it's Opportunist was easily triggered because of Bulk Up. And encountered a Gold Revavroom within the past two weeks that annoyingly despawned
The one time I saw Revaroom being used, was when fighting with a friend... *It kicked my ass* Focus Sash Mixed with Shift gear and you have a disgusting beast that rolls over your team.
The worm looks like the kind of child’s toy that’s never been clean. Probably found it abandoned on the floor of a Dollar Store, but it’s potential doesn’t exactly scale with my opinion, so I’ll give it that credit.
About the terastalising phenomenon more so the legendary Pokémon responsible for terastalising does exist as you hear it's cry everytime you terastalise your Pokémon that is my theory andy thought that each time you use the terastalise option when the transformation begins you'll hear the grisk or frisk legendary Pokémons cry
Espartha, Flamigo, Clodsire, aqua breed Toros, Killowattrel, Klawf and Nclstack were all irreplaceable on my team especially in the earlier game. Granted it was at different times and I would change them and the other spots of the team out depending on the situation but they came in clutch more times than I care to admit. My clodsire had water absorb ability and that changed the game. He also had the move yawn and it made catching other mons super easy before I got access to ultra and quick balls. I know he’s a but overrated but Clodsire was almost never changed out if at all and was an integral part of the team for every gym and titan. Even if we hasn’t used he was still in the line up for the just in case.
I wanted to use Revavroom but i found a shiny Glimmet. I used Clodsire before i found Glimmet but it is not very strong for the late game. Great video 👍
I can agree reva room is underrated, although I can also agree from personal experience it’s so ugly I’ve never tried to catch any of the line in the wild. Can’t even do it 😂
I used a Vivillon on my first-ever Violet playthrough, and while it wasn't the best thing in the world, it certainly didn't suck and wasn't the worst Pokémon on my team. Vivillon was surprisingly decent for a butterfly, and I 100% would use one again in a playthrough. So, my pick for an underrated Pokémon is Vivillon.
For passimian I think using it in doubles and having a Pokémon with the ability Huge Power faint and then switch into oranguru with the move Instruct seems like a great strategy
When it comes to gogoat you forgot to mention leech seed. I used one on my play through and leech seed allowed me to slowly take down gym leaders that were much higher level than me. Gogoat is the pokemon that allowed me to play the game in the order that I wanted.
Didn't you say in another video that you shouldn't use Revavroom? Or am I misremembering? Either way, I used it myself and had a lot of fun with it! I definitely recommend using it.
I’m thinking about starting a run of Scarlet and violet on my second Nintendo switch account, my main account saves on Scarlet and violet will be used for shiny hunting and ranked and the second account will be mainly team building and for fun and I want to try to use different Pokémon and your videos give me ideas of what Pokémon to use for those runs
The grass type is one of my favorite types and Gogoat it's one of my top five favorite grass types. I always enjoy using one and they're awesome. You're right though. People overlook him all the time
Quick question, Mystic. What are THE WORST starter Pokémon to use in an in-game playthrough of the following titles? • Let’s Go, Pikachu! (Ignore this one LOL) • Heart Gold • Alpha Sapphire • Legends: Arceus • Brilliant Diamond • White • White 2 • Y • Moon • Ultra Moon • Shield (Expansion Pack) • Violet
Heartgold : meganium (obviously) Alpha sapphire : sceptile LA : h.decidueye (poor man breloom) B.Diamond : empoleon White and white2 : serperior (also known as the worst starter in playthrough ever) Y : chesnaught Moon and Ultra : decidueye Shield : rillaboom Violet : skeledirge( it's not the worst, but it a lil bit weaker than the other 2)
I very much enjoy the Varoom line, it’s solid. Also, I enjoy the Tauros forms. Simple but effective. But, while Annihilape does exist, Tauros is better than Pawmot imo. Overall, I love these mons on this list, I want to use so many of the new ones that I’ll be playing these games for some time
I used Revaroom on my team, and I agree that it's super underrated. I wish Kilowatrel would get a little more attention to.
I haven't used Revavroom, but it looks cool. Especially with a new dual type.
I was planning on using revaroom in my first playthrough until I spotted tinkaton the dual fairy/steel typing and gigaton hammer move pit tinkaton over the top definitely using it on next playthrough though
Kilo is insane! Love it
I also want to use Kilowattrel in a playthrough, though I think it is easier to use in doubles. I used both Kilowatrel and Revaroom in my team in Scarlet. Both became monsters in the end lol
Psychic gym gave me big ptsd. I now kill every little flittle. But I might catch one lucky boi
I just catch Espathra fully evolved. They're EVERYWHERE in the later parts of the game lol
Man, espathra's name sounds so badass, it's scream psychic type..I kinda wish espathra was psychic/normal
Since Espartha does get Flash Cannon, Steel Terra is pretty cool on Espartha as well. Also, it's a literal Axebeak!
I am using a Male Espathra on my Violet team and my Male Flittle has just literally evolved as soon as I saw it I wanted to use it.

The funny thing about Paldean Tauros is also a certain element of surprise. There are three different types but theyy all share the same name, so when you see "Trainer is about to send Tauros" you have no idea which one will be.

I love Gogoat and have always felt it needed more love. When I stumbled on a random shiny Skiddo I was elated, first time I remember actually getting excited finding a shiny. Took that thing through the end of the game and it did more work than either Annihilape or Tinkaton.

As someone who used Espathra in his scarlet playthrough. I'm really happy to see it here.
Espathra is such a cool Pokémon. I used one during my playthrough after Tulips got boosted by my X speed. It definitely deserves more love.
I did use Florges because I felt like I had used other Fairy types like Gardevoir and Primarina a bit too much. But I did not like Fairy yet in gen 6, so I ignored Florges then. Using it in this gen was the change to give it the respect I never gave it at first in my eyes.
Florges has been underrated in GO forever too. Love using it in Factions when I can.

I think great tusk Is kind of underrated I don't hear people talk about it Or use it But you can get it pretty early Just use a lot of pokeballs
Flamigo is underrated imo but it’s nice they are being used for speedruns of the game now over hawlucha or lucario
Hey, Mystic. Are you going to make the alternate team for Meowscarda video soon?
are we not gonna talk about tinted lens lokix? that is insane, tinted lens on a pokemon with a more defensive typing would be devastating
Lokik was the pokemon I wished I used due to being based off of Kamen Rider, and my meowscarda being dark
Arboliva is very underrated IMO
I used Revavroom in my first Nuzlocke, and let me say, it carried me. Trully underrated.
The grass type is one of my favorite types and Gogoat it's one of my top five favorite grass types. I always enjoy using one and they're awesome. You're right though. People overlook him all the time
All I know is for competitive players, espathra is considered not bad.
Quick question, Mystic. What are THE WORST starter Pokémon to use in an in-game playthrough of the following titles?
• Let’s Go, Pikachu! (Ignore this one LOL)
• Heart Gold
• Alpha Sapphire
• Legends: Arceus
• Brilliant Diamond
• White
• White 2
• Y
• Moon
• Ultra Moon
• Shield (Expansion Pack)
• Violet
Heartgold : meganium (obviously)
Alpha sapphire : sceptile
LA : h.decidueye (poor man breloom)
B.Diamond : empoleon
White and white2 : serperior (also known as the worst starter in playthrough ever)
Y : chesnaught
Moon and Ultra : decidueye
Shield : rillaboom
Violet : skeledirge( it's not the worst, but it a lil bit weaker than the other 2)
I'm actually using Lokix and Espathra on an alternate file. Both are really good, and Lokix is frequently the mvp of my team
Never been this early before, cool vid!
Orthworm is my favourite gen 9 pokemon and was the MVP of my team!
Never knew Gogoat has the stats equal to starters. That's wild
"Most underrated" with Orthworm in the thumbnail.
Meanwhile, everywhere I look online:
Everybody: *ORTHWORM.*
Yeah? Well jokes on you because I DO love giant goofy crabs.
