You had me glued to the screen and i fell for it hook, line.and sinker.
I would have been glued to the screen then I seen your comment and you ruined it...... You big ruiner
Ditto!
you had me there, started to get abit worried for you, hate it when customers don't pay. Great video as always 👍
Nice one Nick. You really had me going. I was prepared to be angry on your behalf. Then, your kid's shining face. Hilarious.
I got that stud finder from amazon the other day that you'd tested out... had to fit a handrail on a staircase for the inlaws... turned up and realised they were both on stud walls.... really impressed with it! Found all the studs to be able to get a good fixing and no holes to fill in! Much appreciated nick! Hope you're well!
Brilliant! I was getting more and more anxious waiting for the ending after being impressed with the workmanship haha! You got me.
1:54 - emergency lighting next to the consumer unit is a brilliant idea! I will definitely be recommending that in future.
And even better when it's in the bog and the rcd trips while you are having a crap
Forgive my ignorance but wouldn't that mean the light runs all the time given that it's an emergency fitting? All the fittings I've ever put in wouldn't turn off but could be different country different fittings
@@jordankramer6475 no. The emergency lighting turns on when the power turns off. It runs on a battery
@@TimmyBoja but wouldn't that mean that when the lightswitch is turned off the battery kicks in?
@@jordankramer6475 No. The power to emergency lighting is only on an emergency test switch. So the power is always on until a power cut.
Top tip to reduce the flicker: you can create another video channel above this one with 50% transparancy (sound off) and push it forward a few frames. It adds a little ghosting but removes the flicker.
Nick!!! You really had us going there, we felt sick watching this all the way through thinking you weren't going to get paid for doing a fantastic electrical job in someone's house! We never saw that coming... Dad it's your house! Blooming Heck 🤣🤣🤣
looking through nearly all of the comments I am surprised how many people did not like the ending of this video, why ? , it was only a bit of fun , it made a plain and simple video into something much more interesting ,I do not have a problem with it at all. Keep up the good work Nick and keep posting ,click bait or not its still good viewing I think .
I feel cheated. I was waiting for a massive argument
sorry mate
@@NBundyElectrical now what would've been even funnier was if had "the customer" on film and it was just you in a fake moustache arguing with yourself comedy sketch style😄
@@jayzo you have watched too much davo savo to expect that level of comedy. 🤣
@@stewyj2893 🤣🤣🤣
Lol you had me with that one. When you went in to ask why they wouldn't pay I was glued to the screen 🤣🤣
😂😂 thought Adam was a bit comfortable making his brews ☕️ great vid as always.
Soon as you walked out of the alcove and into the kitchen/dining area, instantly knew it was your own house :P
lol good spot
The clock gives it away 😁
Just started to watch the vid, waiting for the heated argument for the payment, never read any comments.. was all ready for when you walked back in to confront, and recording it....... and then........... Loved it. 10/10
DOH !! You even told us and showed us the kitchen and the up coming wiring job months ago !!! Nice One !
You can get the mounting plates for the inline 221 connectors to achieve the same effect you were seeking to enable the extension of cables.
You had everybody there, I did wonder why Adam was making himself at home brewing up 🤣 great video
The tell was your lad was making a tea himself that often doesn’t happen lol good one man had me over I was waiting for beef 🥩
I twigged the minute you just walked into some customer's house after packing up and leaving! Absolutely had me going until that moment, cracking stuff
I was glued to the screen for every second, you got me 😅
That was so funny Nick... had me right up to the end. You did a smashing job.. I Love that DIN rail Wiska box. 👍
ha ha! Glad you didn't get knocked, Nick! I used to dress the neutral supply leads until I spoke with someone from Contactum who said cut them to the length you need and crimp a ferrule on. No issue with the warranty should you need to use it.
On the edge of the seat for why they wouldn’t pay! Love it Nick. You good job!!
Sitting in the van glued to my phone when am supposed to be watching my son's training Ah well I will have to make up an alternative ending to justify my antics thanks nick 😊
lol sorry dude
Hi Nick, I had a similar job several months ago I went to my wholesalers and seen the wiska box din rail you have used in this video. I was going to use it then I thought it made from fire proof plastic. I decided to use wago connections and a metal junction box, driiled hole used crimp into body and earthed to new consumer unit. My reason for my method was due to us now fitting metal consumer units for fire protection, now and if I used the wiska din rail as you have then isn't it just a plastic consumer unit with out MCB's ,isolators etc. Just wondered what you thought and by the way live the vids
A junction box does not contain equipment that's "arcing and sparking" in normal operation (switches).
Nice job and gave me a chuckle at the end
Another great video , I like the consumer unit looks well
Hahahaha, you had me up until I saw the kitchen door and then I recognised your kitchen from when you were ‘burgled’ in a previous video lol.
Well that was me clickbaited 😆 I had a feeling that something wasn't right when Adam was sat down so comfortably 😄
Had me going there was looking forward to how you would deal with it
Great job Nick and Adam. I believe the reason for the levers on one side only is so that the load side can be attached and removed for testing. Load side under levers. Cheers from Aurora, Colorado.
Lmaooo ending was siik!!!! Generally thought it was a customer lol. Keep up the great work!!!
I've always loved Schneider equipment yes we have it in North America too (although Siemens seems very popular too)
Brilliant 😂 didn’t see that coming! Very neat job as well!
Thought I spotted you on the fridge… great work as always 👍🏻
That was just class. Well played.
Nick, you should have held that for April 1st. You may be a UA-cam star but you are just like the rest of us electricians bring everyone else's installations up to date but still after all these years got an old consumer unit.
Nick I need to move my CCU under my stairs!! Guessing as it’s under my wooden stair it requires me to fit metal box DIN? Any recommendations? Fab work/vid BTW 👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌🤩
I just want to say thank you for bringing Great Content...
I feel a bit mislead really. Being new to the trade I was looking forward to seeing how you handled the situation of a non paying customer.
Take it back off the wall😂
Keep asking for 6 months, suck it up for a while longer then go round with a brick shithouse mate seems to be the way.
What a legend, had me hook line and sinker!
I get the same problem when I do work at home. Lady of the house never wants to pay the bill 🤣🤣
That end.. great done, with a smile
Funny as mate, keep the videos coming. Really enjoy your content. Top man.
hook, line and sinker you got me bro haha
What was the reason to move the consumer unit from where it was originally instead of just updating it in place?
couldn't access it quickly in an emergency mate
Great video 👍🏽 fitted a few my self before they are good quality boards hate the leads on the rcbos ,the fuse board with the illuminated lid the Brand is called cpn cudis ,
Don't know why some are pissed about this. Great content and training and product reviews and FUNNY - We all need more laughing in our lives. Makes me think I should do my own board sometime sooner, later.
With those long fly leads on the rcbo's, are you not tempted to just cut them to a realistic length and re-ferrule them so it's not filling the board with unnecessary cable?
We cut half off them dude
Would the wiska modules have fitted the other way round on the DIN Rail? Would have thought that would have given more space for cabling
Loved the video especially the twist
fitting the Wiska C/U extender tomorrow, let's see how good it is, might even film it
Haha 😂 it’s not April 1st yet
You got me there thou.
Cracking job 😂😂
BTW when using DIN rail terminals to extend circuits, DIN rail earth terminals normally connect electrically to the DIN rail.
That isn't normally a problem per-se, but it's something to be aware of when testing and interpreting test results.
The rail in the Wiska relocation box is made of plastic
Well ---- you got me! I was expecting fireworks. Nice one. :-)
Thanks! I snorted beer out thru ma nostrils. You spilt my pint! lol.
Love your videos bro by the way any ideas why a 9kw three phase tanning bed cant be ran off home electrics (1920s build)? I know convertors are available but everyones refused it saying will blow the electrics thanks
yeah i know u can get three-phase to single phase conversions mate but have no experiencing in it mate sorry
A 10mm cable should work fine.
PMSL- I nearly ended it when you got into the van..... funny as.
Great Channel, I am starting to vlog my day to day life making and fitting kitchens. It's hard work and you are nailing it! Do you only work in your local area?
thanks dude, do travel around abit
Great video and great idea on how to get everyone to watch haha.
Wonder when it will be metal enclosures for joint boxes or any joints that is
Thanks for good content.
The handlamp with flex head, what is the brand and name on it?
Unilite mate
Had a feeling this would be a wind up, getting used to you now lol. If you ever hit a water pipe or something, we’d all think you was trying to copy Corey 😂.
I would like to have a play with the schneider boards that dont have fly leads on the rcbos.
Lol good way of getting everyone to watch to the end lol
Nice one Nick, I thought you were at Sams house for a minute having to move the board to fit a bigger fridge.
ROFL!!!!! And I had to watch to the end as well. Such a tart!! 🤣🤣🤣 I feel robbed. Going to go and sob on Artisan Electrics now. Top video fella 👍
Are the green and yellow din rail connectors isolated from the din rail?, din rail connectors I've bought before, the green and yellow ones earthed together through the din rail, which messes with you test readings.
the din rail is plastic mate 👌
The din rail in that enclosure looks off centre? Could you turn it upside down to give more room on the lever side of the wagos?
Nicely played
Lovely bit of rear entry, haven't seen that for a while
As soon as I saw the kitchen I knew it was your house 🤣🤣
your a bad lads Nick & Adam, I was expecting a proper ding dong lol
The ending was funny 😂😂😂 The title of this video will get loads of views 😂👍
Morning, do you have a link for the Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks? 😎👍
I’ve had this problem with someone not paying after a rewire on a bungalow in wales last year had £500 as a deposit
Fell for it completely. x
Decent video 👍, does the regs say spd earth ideally 0.5m max 1m long from the MET 🧐
Lol and great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
I take it you are also an expert angler with reeling us in like that
How much did that wago din rail cost with all the connecters?
i use an SDS on hammer with spike for stubborn knockouts.
What app are you using for test certificates on your iPad?
Do you not set your GoPro if that’s what you’re filming on to 50hz? Anti flicker for LED lighting?
its on those setting mate so not sure what else to do?
@@NBundyElectrical I’ve had bother with my new GoPro10 and it worked for me setting to anti flicker “Pal 50hz” and we’ve got plenty of LED lights in our showroom 😉 keep up the quality content 👍
16:05 Much better to have an extra few feet or meters than one to short! Cable is cheap in the scheme of things here, plus you can strip it down and get some cash back for it! 😁👍
Brilliant never saw that coming
That’s was amusing at the end. Didn’t see that coming.
Control panel terminal blocks are just like the wago blocks. You should be able to buy the end plates separately
Them easy 9 boards are good but trying to swap an rcbo out is a nightmare, you have to drop the full busbar out to do it
yeah found that out
Good one Nick 👍🏼 🤣🤣 watching from Ireland 🇮🇪
Y’all’s panels (boards) are sooo small compared to the ones we have in the US. That’s wild how you can fit everything in there
Hahaha made me giggle at the end!
Though for a second we was going to have to setup a go-fund-me page haha
Ha! I was wondering what twist there was going to be!
Ffs Nick, I was ready to kick off on the comments, greatcwork as always top job. If your ever In the northwest I need a board change.
Great video 😎
Artisan cliff hanger there! 😜
Love it!
Lol you got me there Nick 😂
Fitted a multi 9 split load board last summer as it could be flush mounted in the wall, you are right about them stopping a bullet, really heavy boards. I jumped on the fusebox train shortly after that and haven’t looked back, they’re the best boards around imo
Hi can fuse box boards be fitted in a wall?
Excuse me Wayne ?
@@rajaifty5010 that have one that’s made to be flush mounted yes
@@Cablesmith sorry mr verso 🤦🏻♂️ I’ve not tried them though, nobody local stocks them 😭
@@rajaifty5010 like cable smith said you have to buy one that’s purposely made for it
