, Yet another problem another question...
got new throttle new controller. Battery fully charged and throttle with lcd volt gauge turns on and shows 54v motor did spin backward and I disconnrcted self learning wires and reconnected again... I had to do it about 4 times before the rotation changes and when was workingall right I disconnected everything for wire managment and then motor not spinning, I
quisc look at 5v pin shows 5.3v , is it a problem? tested the self learning cable once more ... nothing moves I'm very confused I need help please

The controller itself doesn’t care how many pole pairs the motor has, but setting the correct pole pairs allows the controller to know the real RPM of the motor. If pole pairs are set wrong, the RPM shown in the app will be wrong, but the controller will run perfectly.
In the case of the Sabvoton, normally you will use a UKC1 display, and that display asks you to enter wheel diameter, which is how the display calculates the speed of the bike. But the calculation relies on the reported RPM from the controller, which relies on pole pairs being set correctly.
If your tire total diameter is set accurately, compare the display speed with GPS speed. If the display speed is less than GPS speed, reduce the number of pole pairs until it matches as closely as possible. Then for last step you can adjust the tire size setting to get the exact match in speed.
In some controllers like Votol, the RPM settings you enter will not automatically adjust for changes in pole pairs, so you will need to reset them.
The FarDriver controller automatically resets all RPM if you change pole pairs. Many people leave pole pairs set incorrectly at 4 the whole time. The controller doesn’t care because it has absolutely no way to know how many pole pairs there.
You can use the method shown in this video if you want to be absolutely sure, then set tire size until display speed matches GPS speed. If you change pole pairs, verify all the RPM settings are what you want for your various modes.

@@imho7250 Hi friend, i agree with that the controllers didn't care about poles of the motor but... some complicate controllers like Votol need's that information and it is very important.. for example, as we know less poles more RPM (speed) and if there many poles we have torque and low RPM, now if we connect motor with many poles and the controller output programmed at lower motor poles witch need high frequencies, the motor will run at crazy RPM, it will be inefficient and last we will have many errors from the controller.

New subscriber here! Do you know a way to control ebike wheels to go forward and reverse with the 350 watt Chinese controller… as I can only do one or the other and I wanted to use on a hover board wheel so can reverse and go forward … also to use a joystick of some kind… any ideas ?

Hi friend... i was trying to do something like you.. unfortunately is not possible because on universal controllers for safety reasons the wheel must stop before go backwards,,

@@EVCustoms thanks for help , after it stops can it reverse then ? As other than the learning wire I can’t see how u could have a reverse option

@@EVCustoms hi I’ve got an idea! Do you think 2 controllers on one hoverboard motor would work? As you could program 1 forward and the other reverse but connected to one wheel… I imagine it would only be issue if both where engaged… I’ve got 10 of these controllers so would be good to use them … what do you think
