Hello, Thanks from Bulgaria! I am reading your wonderful book. I am not an engineer, but, I am just keen to know how things work especially things that I "ride" on... also these days, our "engineers" know more with their mouth than their head, so I like to be prepared before I trust them with my valued ebike. Thank you again for your effort to share your knowledge.
Thanks for viewing the book. Riding an e-bike comes with quite a few maintenance issues. It is very important to know how your e-bike works. And riding, touching, customizing everything is fun. thank you. 🚲🚲🚲~
@@Mobilant_US I've found and bought same motor tester as yours (573D). That was a bit lucky. Would you know where would I be able to buy Parts for our Fafrees ebikes? I have bought 2 new F20 pro bikes and I panic in case I need parts. I don't even know what make/model and type are the motors. I will be ever so grateful if you could give me any light there. I am not young anymore and in this country that I chose to retire, everything has to come from outside and at High premium prices. I use Aliexpress all the time but I need to know what to order. Thank you and best success at everything you do. It feels nice to know you while I am reading your book.
Definitely solder next time...I have been twisting wires together for years...and the connections don't last in a moving environment. Oxidization gets the better of them over time and the connection will get weaker and weaker over time, adding extra resistence and heat. I would even suggest desoldering the wires from the hall sensor, and soldering motor cables directly to the PCB. If you want it easily removable, solder some type of plug...like an FDD connector or something. Otherwise a very informative video!
I just put one of those motors as a front wheel on a three-wheel mobility scooter along with its rear motor. I use the rear wheel off of a larger scooter that was two wheels 36 volts in front 24 in rear I don't run them together very much As they are totally separate systems
When you change the hall sensors it's also good time to change the bearing. Next time use puller. Save your finger you are lucky the magnet didn't cut you fingers or at least break it. After you disconnect the old hall you should check the old cable it is working properly. That whats you douing hire it DANGER Also you should resoldering the new hall cable. before you close the last cover to close the engine add silicone to get waterproof.

thank you Yes, that's right. However, if you twist the stripped wire long, the heat shrink tube is surprisingly strong.💪
I recommend using a gear puller to remove and reinstall the magnets.
You're a genius. Tks
Thank you guys
Oh wow. The original video is made by korean! I can hear what they say in korean !
Thank you for your supportive comments.
Yous guys are so smart.
Thanks for the nice comment.

Love 💖 it i subscribed
if you bang the axle with a dead blow hammer the cover pops off on the other side no need for putty knives

good work broo
Glad you found it helpful. It's rewarding to make it. Thank you for your comment. 👍
Is there anywhere in London that can do this?
hi im from Philippines.
i have a question?
if i change hall sensor on my 350w hub motor there's a possibility to increase power on it?
Hi~ No, the Hall sensor is just something that detects the motor position.
Thanks!
i did this just shortened the main wire and resoldered all the wires
It's awesome.

@@Mobilant_US wielkie dzięki
No solder 😂
That's an example of a sloppy job... Should have cleaned the seat, and dry-fit the components before applying the epoxy and stuff... 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you for your comment. I skipped cleaning because it was common sense.
@@Mobilant_US and that was your mistake, as we all saw 💁🏻♂️
lekker
It's not a hub motor where is the gears 🤧😂

Don't try this at home.
