  • Pressure Washer Won't Start - How to remove and replace a carb on a Troy Bilt Pressure Washer!
My pressure washer has sat up for a few years, so my wife asked me to get it running.
I figured it was not starting because of the carb, so I bought a brand new car for under $20. This is the install...
This is the carb I purchased; geni.us/uqVM4o

The only thing that you didn't show me was the top view of the carb after it was installed so I could see how All the linkages were supposed to be positioned

Thanks, just what I needed to see. Spent 2 days trying to get my machine to work. Going to replace my carburetor as soon as I can get one in.

Glad to see it up and running.Just replaced my carb on my generator. Cheaper to buy a brand new carb than to rebuild the old one!

Thanks for the video. Mine sat for a few years and couldn't get it to start. Bought a new carb off Amazon for $15. Swapped the carb out and it started on the first pull.

Thank you for showing me how to change the carburetor. I'm not as mechanic. But I think ordering a new Carburator I as the way to go. And I'm going to give it a try instead of taking it to the local repair shop as d waiting 4 weeks to get it back and costing over $50.00. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this video, I did the exact thing of letting it sit and the gasoline evaporated. I'm going to buy a carburetor instead of cleaning the rest out. I already cleaned the bolt where the float and nothing. After hearing the price I've made up my mind.

When you first cranked it up, something shot out at the camera. Was that part of the carburetor? Also, it looked like the gasket between the carburetor and the engine had rotated out of place before you screwed it together. Did that create any kind of leaks for you?

The carburetor you purchased may not be right for my Troy-Bilt pressure washer. How to buy the right one.
Regarding buying this carburetor on the internet when Troy-Bilt does not sell you but wants to sell the whole assembly at a significantly higher price. So buying the way you did is a good idea.

Look for the serial number on the motor. Use that on the troybuilt website, and it should have a parts breakdown for your unit. Look for the carburetor, and then you will have the part number. Then put the part number into Amazon. It should then come up with multiple sellers.

I cleaned the Tank, Carburetor, added fresh fuel, and no spring just like the video added spring and just like the video one pull. THIS NEVER HAPPENS. One pull still amazed.

Would have been a nice video if your hands didn’t block every single step. Maybe you should have recorded it from the side. Thanks anyway.
