I will use your reply on another comment to replace it. mainly, i want to thank you for the best video. i was able to see where the springs and cables go which i could not tell from memory or my own pictures! Thanks! After wasting a bunch of time cleaning the carb (failure), I watched your well made video and decided to replace the carb for 15 bucks. Started and ran after 1 pull.👍

    Thank you for the tutorial... I am a paramedic... I can work on broken people... Not so gifted at working on broken machines, however... Ordered the carburetor... Within an hour of its arrival, I had my pressure washer running like a champ... Again, thank you for taking the time to put the video together...

      @@LivingCooper I was able to change the carburetor in under 20 with the help of your video. Unfortunately, I dont think the carburetor was my issue because it still wont start. I even put fresh non-ethanol fuel in it. I'll probably have to take it to an expert now.

    I can't thank you enough for this video. I was able to do this right the first time with your help. The torx tip was invaluable. The whole process went smoothly. $13 for a new carburetor makes a whole lot more sense than futzing with a broken-down original.
    AN ADDITIONAL HINT--the gas caps on these units corrode and clog up. After putting the carburetor on, it would start then quit. I took the top off the gas tank. It gradually started to run a little bit longer with each start. Finally it ran normally.
    THANK YOU 😊!!!

      bigdaddy gator thanks for watching! I’m so glad this helped! It’s always nice to fix things and save a little cash. Great tip on the gas cap, too. I haven’t had that problem, but I could definitely see it happening, with all the moisture. Thanks again.

    Thanks ! You made this so easy..15 minute job and it fired right up first pull.. your start to finish video was great! One thing I would like to add is to always use premium gas and some Briggs and Stratton Stabilizer to the gas if not used regularly which will decrease buildup in the Carburetor.

      Mike M thanks for watching. I’m glad it helped. That’s a great idea with the premium gas and stabilizer. 👍🏻

    • @LivingCooper

      I think I found it. I believe that is the governor spring. If you have a smart phone and take a picture of the QR code on the back of the engine it takes you to the parts manual. In the parts manual look at Pg.14 &15, Ref. no. 209. The Part no. is 793604. Here is my Amazon Affiliate link to that part amzn.to/3osgBft FYI: We may get a small commission from this purchase at no extra charge to you. Thanks again, I hope this helps.

    I have that exact same model and the #1 problem with these pressure washers is ALWAYS the carb! I have a 2012 model and have already replaced one carb. This yr (2023) I got it out to pressure wash around my pool and it wouldnt start. I knew it was the carb so instead of replacing it I just cleaned it with carb cleaner and removed the bowl and cleaned the main jet which is the bolt holding the bowl on. Put some fuel cleaner mixed with the gas and it fired right up. Main thing is to drain the gas before storing over the winter!😎

      Runs good without the trigger on the gun pressed but after trigger is pressed it will bog down and shut off.

    • @LivingCooper
      @LivingCooper  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching. I'm sorry you are having this issue. I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like it might be a problem with the automatic throttle. I'm by no means a pressure washer expert, but I think when you squeeze the trigger the throttle senses the load increase on the engine and it should increase the throttle. Maybe the spring has gotten weak. Hopefully someone else reading these comments has an idea. Thanks again for watching. Sorry, I can't tell you exactly what the problem is.

    • @LivingCooper
      @LivingCooper  3 роки тому

      I guess you got this issue worked out, but developed the trigger issue. ugh. hopefully you found, or can find, a fix to the trigger issue.

    If all the parts match but the fuel is on the opposite side is that a problem. My fuel inlet is on the opposite of the carb but I could not find one that matched that.

    • @LivingCooper

      Thanks for watching and asking a great question. It should not matter, you may need to get a longer hose and change up your hose configuration a little bit, but I’m no for sure. I’m not a mechanic but I don’t know why it would make a difference if the specs and bolt patterns are the same.

    • @edpippin
      @edpippin Рік тому +1

      Thank you I put it in and seems to run ok. I actually had to shorten the hose since it was on the short side. The only thing I had to do was take a small awl and very slightly widen one of the linkage holes on the right side for it to fit. Thanks again for all your help in making this video.
