kill switch simply grounds out the sparkplug so it doesn't matter which way the wires are attached in on position switch is open and in off it is closed otherwise a good video

Nice bro. I never had the Midas touch with small engines. My lil shed looks like Weed Wacker WW2. Just ☠️ Briggs & Straton & British & Nazi wacker remains everywhere.
    But this should help thanks

When mine failed to start, I replaced both the air filter and spark plug and it started right up without issue. Old spark plug was scorched and the engine would backfire when pulling the starter cord, indicating an ignition issue. Was a simple and inexpensive repair for a second hand unit I bought for a few hundred bucks.

The auto choke wasn't for the customer, it was done on a mandate from the EPA

Great video!! Quick question… mine runs well, but when I turn off the PW sounds like a load gunshot.. do you know whats causing that

    • @ChrisXOutdoors

Built up pressure. It’s normal. You can turn it off while spraying. That will eliminate the pressure build up. I do it sometimes.

Wow Briggs+ Stratton are now bolting on carbs using torx …it looked like there was a 6 point for a socket but how long till that’s gone and only a torx bit can loosen it !!. Nevertheless nice video Chris .

Great video...now I know how to remove and clean the carb on this pw.
I have the same pw and it starts and runs ok, my problem is it does not reach max pressure consistently. I know this because i was using it to remove the oxidation from my plastic shutters and when it running at full power it removed it but then loses a little power and does not remove it as well. Any ideas on why could be the problem ? Thanks.

Could be that the pump seals are becoming worn. Hard to tell without it in front of me but cleaning the carburetor is never a bad idea. Keep me updated!

Hey been looking all day trying to find one like mine good jib my friend. My son in law used mine and now it won't start I think there was water in the gas so I drained the gas and took the bowl off and cleaned put new gas in it didn't help let it sit over night and pulled on it and it almost started so I hooked up the water and could not get it to do anything tried starting fluid and nothing I guess I will pull the carburetor and clean the jets. You got any ideas. Thank you for the great video I thought it was very good.

@@MrArapahoe it might be a choke issue. These have something called auto-choke which keep the choke plate permanently closed. Once it starts up, there is a coil on the muffler that expands while it heats up, this slowly opens the choke (usually fully open after a minute or two). Sounds like your choke plate might be stuck open causing it to start then die right away. Just a guess but something to look for
