Can’t believe I pay for UA-cam premium to have no ads - and I’m choosing to watch two guys watch commercials 😂
Just get adblock
@@lianchang9947 idk how to on mobile
@@lianchang9947 when you know, you know!
Yet they don’t have UA-cam premium.
😂
So the Nanny just starts up out of nowhere lol
I can't believe nobody is talking about that
The first thing I came to the comments for, no comment, no mention, just intercut in the middle 😂
Jake and Jimmy did not watch nearly enough tv with their moms as children if they don't know what Days of Our Lives is
I feel like all you had to do was _be aware_ of mothers, grandmothers, and television's existence to know what _Days of Our Lives_ is.
@@BobbySacamano lmao
My mom and grandma were both game show nuts so I never got that experience either lmao.
Every day at 1 pm, my mom would stop what she was doing to take in that day's episode. Now, it's streaming on Peacock.
My mom would always send me and my sister to our rooms on some sort of made up charges so she could watch Days of our Lives with no interruptions.
So we need Watchin’ The Nanny now clearly
unfortunately old sitcoms don't really hold up. I tried to rewatch the nanny a few years ago and it was not very good. It's like...3 jokes retold over and over.
Vincent Price in a polar bear costume hawking wine coolers? Someone get me a Sun Country, stat!
Let me clear up the Frosted Mini-Wheats debate. TLDR Jake was correct. But to fill in with more useless info, there are actually at least three sizes in the history of Shredded Wheat. There were huge pillow sized bricks of shredded wheat (non-frosted) that could fit two in a bowl, that was the original. Then they came out with frosted "mini-wheats" in the 80's, but as Jake noted, they were still too big, they were like twice the size of what we think of as mini-wheats today. Finally they came to their senses and realized kids were probably choking on their poorly sized mini-wheats, so they shrunk them down to bite sized, which is what we have today. Think of it in terms of a normal sized Snickers bar, a fun-size that is half of that, and then a mini-size which is about half of that, the little squares.
You should pick a year from the 90's and do super bowl commercials
These random Watchin' videos are my favs. That transition from Superman 3 to the heartbreaking Alex: The Life of a Child was hilarious lol.
Yay this is what I needed today. I will miss Baggage, but am excited for more watchin' stuff
That girl was just workin that Soto Shuffle
So funny to me that neither of them know that Days of Our Lives was a soap opera daytime TV show.
Apparently that cigarette toothpaste doesn’t want you brushin on sundays
It's the holy day. Leave it in god's hands!
Wasn't that Lori Loughlin in the commercial with Michael J Fox?
WE BACK TO WATCHING COMMERCIALS.
Not knowing Vincent Price/enjoying The Nanny, it balances out. A dagger followed by faith restored.
Edit: Jimmy relating to the son of the family is a true sign of being a son watching The Nanny in the 90's. You latched onto any relatable aspect in The Simpsons, X Files, Seinfeld, Star Trek: TNG, The Nanny, and worst of all as a child- Cheers or Taxi reruns, those two were pure hell before bed.
The ABC Sunday night movie brought back flashbacks of sitting next to the VCR while bootlegging movies with my family. All our movies had a couple of frames of that logo.
I think the “mini” part of the cereal was in relation to actual bales of wheat that they were supposed to resemble. Once they realized people were only able to eat two of them in a bowl of milk, they shrank them.
Also, I didn’t realize I knew the ABC movie theme song at one time.
Also worth researching the different sizes of babybel
I wish I saw the Vincent Price commercial back in the day, I love his laugh.
Edited to add... OMG Days Of Our Lives!
Told myself I’d watch the first couple minutes for the laughs… 27 minutes later I want more
I want a weekly series!
Pretty funny that these two have no idea that was Vincent Price. Damn kids.
Vinnie P was rocking that polar bear costume and he could’ve sold me pocket lint lol 😂
80s? You included a few minutes of God's gift to TV viewers in the 90's in clips of The Nanny ('93-'99).
7:16 Jake was the fourth in the playtex ad
Dude I literally have 4 boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats on my kitchen counter right now. It is my top cereal. And since you were discussing it, they're smaller now. You can fit 3 in a spoon.
I remember eating shredded wheats that were so big I would have to cut them with my spoon. Otherwise, they were too big to fit in a table spoon. They were like three or four inches long
😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣 "Days of Our Lives" is a Soap Opera that still comes on to this day.
I don’t know how the nanny, the TV show that was on there around the 13 minute mark, got on there because that show was early to late 90s TV show
It's worth a check out the next time your sick or snowed in, it's 90's warmth and probably wouldn't fly today lol. Primetime 90s television.
Love watchin you guys watchin stuff
Jommy struggles with the silliest stuff. Thankfully this guy Jake always sets him straight
I'm seriously afraid they don't know who the guy in the bear costume is.
If so, for shame!
18:06 holy schnikes knew that little girl looked familiar. She’s Mia the high school girl who blackmails Hank (Duchovny) in Californication. She was great in that show
15:08 it seems reasonable given the doorframe. They’re all shorties
Yo the blueberry frosted mini wheats slap though!!🔥
Billed as "Watchin' Commercials" but SO much more.
That at 22:27 was the MISL Cleveland Force. Later they would change to the Cleveland Crunch and have recently returned to action.
These, Classic Concentration….my favourite stuff on the channel
Omg thank you guys my bf and I love this content
I’m 22 but when I saw the hour glass for days of our lives I flashbacked to eating dinner as a little kid while my mom had this on tv
I would love breakfast under a buck. They should bring that back.
I didn't know Wendy's had breakfast back in the 1980's
24:20 way too early to be Keri Russell. It looks like the chick from Full House her name escapes me, Jesse’s chick, the one that got in trouble IRL for the college admissions scandal 😅
“I think that’s Bill Russel”… that’s an under rated comment, Jake.
10:25 Jake is a real one for that, I do the same thing, gotta connect the pits
Shredded wheat... Covered.
Days of Our Lives... Covered.
Vincent Price... Covered.
That "perfume" is a body spray. Think AXE.
The joke of the McDonald's recital is the jingle she plays at the end. "It's a good time, for the great taste, of McDonald's." Forever burned in 80's kids minds.
I need so much more content like this
Julio Franco had an interesting batting stance and he played forever in MLB.
Yay! More 80's stuff!
The SECOND you paused on that hourglass im like, "Days of our lives, what else"
Gentleman? Is this amateur hour! even after the title nothing!
man im old.
Of course you guys pointed out the girl's terrible batting stance in that Playtex commercial and made a mention of my cousin, Chuck, who also had a terrible batting stance as well🤣😂🤣
Watchin’ Interrogation Footage
Now this.
okay i was so confused during the roman ad. I picked up my phone and couldn’t understand what orientation i was in 😭
I was super-duper shocked to find that Topol is still a going concern.
I just noticed topol means (to)oth (pol)ish
The amount of Cosby we were subjected to as kid is jarring now.
Oh shit they're watching commercials again?! I NEED them to watch the baseball pizza hut commercial! The one that goes, "I play right field, it's important, ya know? Ya gotta know how to catch. Ya gotta know how to throw. That's why I play in right field. Way out where the dandelions grow."
wait what was that about Toxic Shock
I love that this turned into watching that show, really liked it as a kid.
6:15 Jake says "Days of the week" and the _Days of Our Lives_ intro kicks in right afterward. Backstory on _Days of Our Lives:_ The show is no longer on linear television as of last fall. The latest renewal gave NBC the option to move the serialized drama to Peacock. A number of the show's viewers in recent years have come from Peacock.
My mother stopped watching after decades because of the move to peacock. Who wants to pay for extra shit?
THIS WAS HILARIOUS!! Serious MST3K vibes!
MSTK3?
@@Zaron_Gaming When Jimmy and Jake watch old commercials or Baggage, they remind me of the guys from the old TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K).
19:46 Jimmy don't you have an office with a glass wall?
Days of our lives…they are in a dead stare 😮….SOAP OPERA torture guys, this is when I knew it was time to go outside and play!
feels like the quarantine reaction vid era again but better
Jake drove the van in today. Hide yo' kids. Hide yo' wife. He specifically requested to get off early, right around 3pm. A responsible coworker needs to check his pockets and console for candy and chloroform before he leaves.
🤣🤣
i knew who that damn polar bear was before it was revealed. sad these two didn't seem to know who vincent price was.
Now THIS is content
I will watch anything with you two.
I want to see them react to different countries commercials, like do canadian commercials. That would be funny.
Jake looks like the dude the lady told to put his hair back
24:15 Think that was Laurie Loughlin?
I think the actress in the Michael j Fox commercial is Lori Laughlin (aunt Becky)
If by April 1st you guys still didn't get Baggage season 2 you should do a watchin' of watchin' baggage
7:27 Jack would strike her out in 2 pitches that’s how bad that stance is
Forgot you guys were watching commercials for a while there
you should do a watchin Jersey Shore series
Yo, that was Vincent Price in the first ad.
Look up the Never Say No to Panda commercials. Hilarious.
ua-cam.com/video/X21mJh6j9i4/v-deo.html
Look at the door height, they are all 5’3”
Dude I had to watch Alex the life of a child in Health class in like 8th grade. To this day, whenever I'm congested I always think about how much he had to wack on that child to break up the mucus.
Jakes eyes were barely open. Dude was feeling good
Rod Carew is the batter you’re thinking of
Deeply disappointed the boys didn’t know Vincent Price when they saw him in the first commercial.
Vincent Price
@@jaredcanon5965 thanks, I must have got a letter or two wrong and spellcheck changed it.
@@jpetersgoyanks it's all good
Hey just wanted to give you a heads up, if this is in place of the normal Thursday ep… Week 1 of no Baggage, my wife is still with me, but there’s a strange emptiness in the house on Thursday (Wednesday) evenings.. Hopefully this isn’t a bad sign.
(I do really like all the watchin’ content though)
Such a DEAL!!!!
Jake in this video is such a UA-cam
No they had a medium back the. And no longer have the big ones. The big ones were the size of half a snickers bar. The original mini wheets were about 1/3 of the large ones. Idk what they where even called, I guess sugarwheets
The mini mini wheets tho. They were about the diameter of a quarter squared
Days of our lives is a tv show! Soap opera
80’s commercials were spot on.
I love mini wheats
Hey can you guys watch old Wipeout episodes without copyright problems? Think that would be amazing!!!
What’s the one where they watched a Japanese version of that and dubbed American play by play in it?
Edit: it’s mxc. That might be funny, but I haven’t seen it in years.
10:49 Elle Macpherson
You have no comment on 8% financing?
Maybe stick to the 00s. You don't even know Vincent Price.
I don’t know Albert Einstein EITHER, but he WAS a contemporary of mine!!!
Please watch Alex: Life of a Child! With Jake!
With all the $ you make, you can scrape together $17 for UA-cam premium?
ffs you’re making me look up mini wheat size history
don't lookup how the cadbury egg has shrunk over time.
did Jimmy lose weight? looking good bro!
Ready for your mind to be blown. The actor that plays Niles the butler is not British at all and is from Arkansas.
Ron Popeil doesn’t look so BAD, huh?
Oh jake I envy you I wish I could erase my recent memory and watch succession again It is really good But you have to like millennials talking very fast and vulgarly If that’s your jam You are in for a great time I fucking loved it
And you are both wrong about the mini wheats It’s just false advertisement They used a really really small bowl to show the mini wheats Classic 80s lying to consumers before it was frowned upon
miss fine was so hot.
Do you guys not know who Vincent Price is???????????? This will not stand!
Jake don't put deodorant on your nose man that's fuckin weird
Oh boy...80s commercials. I'm sure these will be filled with a diverse class of actors........
