I’m not surprised I live in AZ and my whole dating experience as a black man was like this. There’s definitely a hierarchy for being non black in AZ especially if ur light skinned because growing up they constantly reminded me that I was ugly and I was just brown skin the whole time. When I go home where my people are at I’m light skin all of a sudden. So the Mexicans, whites and mixed people really do be thinking like this.

I used to go on Omegle with one of my friends until he asked a group of similar-aged girls we ran into over Omegle to rate us. They gave him a 7. I got a 9. He REALLY didn't like that, and took it about half as bad. He was 15, by the way. Not a fully grown adult man. That's pathetic and bizarre. I'm not even mad. I just feel bad as I look onward.
He was insecure, that's it. Not bashing him, insecurity is just something one would have to learn to get over. And I wish more young men know and understand that. I've been through all that myself.

I think it's pretty evident at this point that men like that aren't raised to be that way by their mothers most of the time. It's the circlejerk of other men they learn to fall back on so they never have to feel uncomfortable in social settings. They never really have to be right, or smart, or attractive, or funny, as long as there are other men who will back them up or laugh or agree with whatever they say. And I don't blame them, if I grew up with that kind of dynamic available to me I'd probably resort to it too
