I realized some things about Lawyer Kong earlier this week Due to the fact that Lawyer Kong is just Funky Kong in a suit, perhaps he has been trying to ruin Mario for quite a while. Funky Kong was the one that got Mario into NFTs

I have a couple theories. 1. Smg0 might come save them somehow because there are more universes according to the revaluations movie. This means miyamoto could not have affected the other universes. Even if smg0 doesn’t come back, I think there’s a solid chance there will be soemthing to do with the other universes. 2. Axol may come back. It was also confirmed in teh revaltions movie that there is a heaven-like area for characters that have died. That only happened because the contract, as you said, was temporary. So Inkling Meggy IS a Nintendo character, but Human Meggy is a creation of SMG4, therefore the dmca still affects her despite the temporary IP contract
