I think the old man dies was because of sloppy writing, I think Luke forgot that the old man was from Pokémon because let’s be honest, who remembers the old man was from Pokémon.

It pains me that the arcs I don’t like (anime, Genesis, and revelations) have good writing, (except the anime arc.) and the ones I DO like have decent writing. (Waluigi, Rapper Bob, UA-cam, and Lawsuit.)
This arc could’ve been so much more if they’d just focus on the other main characters. I have two theories: 1. This arc has a real life basis like so many others(excluding the genesis arc) 2. Lawyer Kong killed any other Nintendo lawyer to become the lawyer himself To explain the first theory, we need to go all the way back to the Waluigi arc. People were upset because Waluigi wasn't in smash, so smg4 turned it into Waluigi being mad he wasn't in smash. The rapper Bob arc is just what happens when famous people forget about the people in their previous life. The anime arc is based on those with an unhealthy obsession with anime, so Francis is the one trying to make an anime island because he's the one with an unhealthy obsession with anime. The UA-cam arc was based on UA-cam taking people's works down because of offensive material, and hackers trying to take over people's channels, just look at SMG3 for proof of this kind of basis. Even the revelations arc had integration with real life. To explain the second theory, Just look at how angry Lawyer Kong gets when he doesn't get his way. This shows that he had to have been committing a few murders of his competition in order to become a Lawyer. He also had to be smart enough to cover up any evidence that he killed anyone.
