IE 300 full Review would be amazing. I think it is interesting because of the availability around the world
The idea of spending over a G on IEMs is insanity to me
Try them
Great Video. I'm loving the new film space. #MomApproved❤️✌️
I wish all reviewers were clearly distinguishing absolute rating and relative to the price rating.
This is a great review format! Hoping to see more of this!
Could you perhaps either add IEMs in your spreadsheet or try to make a seperate one? I think that that'll help a lot for new consumers looking to get into IEMs.
Could you also add a field based on price range, so it's easier to see what you can afford? Thanks!
@@borbetomagus check out Bad Guy Good Audio - he's got a constantly updated spreadsheet for IEMs
@@CodCodliness the more trusted reviewers the better 😅
"Thei audio legacy 4" would be a dope review
i love how he judge iem based by practicality rather than pure sonic performances
That's why I love his reviews
Good to see three of my favourites in your list, DUNU Zen, See Audio Neo, and the Nanna!!
Under $200 iem list , please!!!!
Fiio FH3. That's when I finally called it a day after having purchased way too many cheaper IEMs. This is a stupid hobby. 🙂
There are so many options it's impossible to sort
I happen to love my Moondrop Starfields. I tried them and the Tin T2s. They are 2x the price, but I could really tell the difference in quality. 100$ was my budget though, so maybe something better pushing up to the 200$ range for you. Good luck!
@@czdot I got some recently. Love them.
Like the other guy said FH3, or Moondrops! Some $200-$250 ones are better but these are the ones you will be coming back to
Ie300 full review please! I’m looking into getting an iem to wear at work, and the ie300 is on my short list. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on it. Great video comparison BTW, also loving the quality and the new look! Keep up the good work!
Loving the video! I would've liked to see some below $300 too, it would've made sense in a price hike vid especially with IEMs
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS?????
PS: Thank you!
LET'S GOOOO I'VE NEVER BEEN SO HYPED FOR IEMS
These are really F#%*IN’ GOOD!
My setup for these are:
IEM: BLON BL-03.
Custom Cable: Acid Purple Hart Audio PC-3: Dual Angled 2-pin (QDC) Balanced IEM Cable w/ a female 4-pin mini XLR and a male 4-pin mini XLR to a 90 degree 3.5mm TRS interconnect line.
Custom Ear Tip: Midnight Purple Eartune Fidelity Custom IEM Ear Tip
Altogether for me is the ultimate band for your buck in an IEM!
thanks for recommending that custom tip. it looks awesome. i will definitely consider getting it
I actually like & prefer MMCX connectors. I do understand that you, as a reviewer, don't care for them. They can be susceptible to issues if you're constantly plugging & unplugging them over & over. But if you're more of a set it & forget it type, the level of adjustment they give you is much greater than 2-pin for over ear wear. Personally, I've never had any issues with them.
Would love to see a review for kinera nana (and if possible a comparison to the tri starlight v4 which also has electrostatic drivers)
Oh man a Kinera Nanna review would be fabulous.
Kinera Nanna review pls!!!
been wishing for this for ages cheers
Kermit the frog reviewing IEM's LETS GOOOO. Love the video btw
Full review about the Nanna, please!
Would love to see your thoughts on the Fiio FD5. The soundstage, imaging, separation, and detail retrieval on them blows my mind.
Nice video. Thorough for the price range. 👍🏽
Do a full review on the Nanna and ie300 please 🙂
Thank you for fixing the intro volume. Appreciate it.
Love the new studio! I'm really curious where the u12t would fit in here... I know a lot of reviewers seen to really enjoy either that or the Tia Fourte.
The Fourte blows my mind every time I use it
Me: price ladder? Ooh, maybe I’ll get new IEMs
Video: starts with $299
Me: oh, it’s starting from the extreme
Video: $699
i thought the 299$ would be the most expensive one. Cool DMS. Great video. Like literally 20 people will consider buying these IEMs everyone else just leave
Actually, it's all relative. Consider iPods Pro, Senny Momentum and you are $300. Pro Max is $600.
@@rogerhuston8287 if you wanna talk in terms of relative pricing. A normal earbud costs 15$ and you can get IEMs for 20$ that sound 80% of what these sound.
So no, you are wrong here.
In terms of relative pricing these are crazy expensive, even the 299$ one (and compared to Ipods pro the cheapest one here has no features besides making sound).
@@rogerhuston8287 you see, those are all bluetooth devices, and they cost like twice as much as a normal set of similar sounding IEMs. Not to mention that the pro max is made out of aluminum.
@@rainingman338 - Sure, but since you are on this channel, you are beyond the ear-buds just making sound stage. Yes, there are bargains that sound ok in the $150 category and below, but they don't belong on the same table as the Nanas or Mest. This is the level up, a mid-priced IEM category where people come to expect a bit more than making sound. This isn't a Chevy Spark vs Corvette comparison as they are two different audiences. For me, I'm very much interested in the Nana's vs Mest comparison and will pick up the $300 Senny for watching movies on my tablet while traveling.
Perhaps in the future, DMS will do something similar for the $200 and under category, but as I said it doesn't make sense to mix entries from both together.
Side note, the videography looks great!
The way he describes the Nana reminds me a lot of reviews about the Meze Empyrean.. nice
i would love to get full review of the kinera and the ie300. i tend to ear things the same way you do !
Definitely want to see IE 300 and the Nannas.
Would love to see your opinion on some Campfire IEMs
I would really appreciate getting your opinion on cheap and mid-price iems like the kz zsx, ikko oh10 and thie audio legacy 5. That would be great !
Great video.
What are the ear tips you use on the NAN NA?
Thanks for the review!
Just as I'm considering diversifying my sound signatures with some new iems, why must you do this to me.
Jokes aside, great overview, keep it up.
Hope your health is all better :D
I think the Moondrop Illumination will suit you better instead of the Zen because it has a smooth presentation.
you forgot best value blon 03 @ $30
first time seeing ur review but it sounds reliable
may be the thieaudio clairvoyance in the next round up?
Wow. Okay. Dead convinced its not just taht you and I have different tastes but that we hear stuff differently as well. I dont think the 800 is even in the same league as the mest in terms of directional positioning, and certainly not in how well filled out the sound stage is in the distance from you. I get real respectable directionality fot the price on the 800, but badicaly only far away and intiment, never in-between distances
Always interesting to see just how differently people here stuff (iems especialy). Great video!
Edit: also, we need more nanna love! I feel like just no one talks about them and they are mindbllwing for the price. Never heard highs that detailed and bright with absakutely 0 fatigue
I remember the first time I listened to actually good iems
Listening to this with KZ ZSN pros lol
It'd be really nice if you made a budget IEM roundup tho
it would be fun to think of a comparison between iems and headphones! What is the equivalent of kph30i? Or shp9500’s? Or Ananda’s? Or HD600’s? And so on... ??? Thanks!
Yo!! Thanks for the comparison, i just wanna know how well all the iems seal, i mostly commute with iems and the sealing factor is really relevant to me. Keep up and take care!!
Foam tips really help with seal.
@@NikolasCarneiro18 But change the sound, some nozzle shape and lenght seals better tahn other, i would love to see the isolation factor included. But is not only a metter of tips, if the iem has a small port for pressure or bass management that can modify the isolatin level too. Anyway thanks for the suggetion.
@@matteobregante5656 I see. Maybe you need something more custom, like considering the shape of your ears. Audiodream maybe?
@@NikolasCarneiro18 i'll look into it thanks again.
Grate video new to the better end of iem's so I'd like to hear more on old mate sennheiser and also I'd really appreciate a round up video on say the best upto $300 as I'm not sure I want to spend much more than that on iem's no worries if you don't get much call for that end of the spectrum I really appreciate your work on these videos anyway so it's fine if you didn't end up doing a video like that
I've just ordered the IE300 from Sennheiser using student discount at £169, super excited for it to arrive and I'm stoked you hold it in high regards.
I have to ask, does this IEM benefit massively from better equipment. I plan on using it with a PS5 which has some support for DAC/AMPs.
How did you find them?
Feel like you could've related to far more people (and got more views) doing lower budget IEMs
agreed. like sub $200 ladder. i cant understand why someone would dish out such serious cash on iems when you can buy cans.
Way too much crap in < 100 dollar iems. Amazon is full of that rubbish. Some of us are looking for 200 to 300 bucks options without going all the way to Campfire Audio levels.
@@morespinach9832 if you will keep in mind fit issues and are willing to tip roll, I heard the tanchjim oxygen if very good.
No. There are lots of other Youtubians who do this already. DMS likes the finer stuff from mid-fi and up. Alot of us don't wanna mess with cheaper IEMs because we been there and done that five years ago. Plus the hifi market is so mature now that alot can be had from $300 to $1k
@@DJ_BROBOT exactly. The chi-fi stuff is just stupid waste of money. Which IEMs do you recommend?
Can we have a tube rolling video? All of last year Zeos, Josh, and you talked in passing about tube rolling but i personally have no clue about what companies make tubes, what different architectures there are, the different styles of tubes within each company, what are some good tubes to start out with, what tubes are warmer or more analytic while still providing a tubes slow decay. If that could be a video thatd be great
Watching this video on my MEST! How does the moondrop blessing 2 dusk compare to the Kinera in your opinion
I can compare mest vs blessing 2 if you want.
Could you maybe get yours hands on the Fir 5x5? It looks pretty good
These prices are like
_"Number 9, Number 9 large"_
Love my nanna! Love my Mest too though. Would be a difficult decision if I could only keep one.
@David Giler I can’t tell a difference between version 1 and version 2, but I didn’t have them at the same time. I have v2 now. I loved version 1, but I decided the new shell was worth the upgrade. I like the graph of version 2 better. The graph of nanna is closer to clairvoyance than the EJ07. The EJ07 might be my favorite one out of all of them!
Oh yeah I've got Nanna 2.0 since last week and I agree!
@David Giler According to Kinera, starting 2021 they only sell the new (2.0) tuning. Even if you order the "original" (1.0), you'll get the 2.0 tuning. So the difference between 1.0 and 2.0 is only in their shell color/design. I got really confused about this initially. Made worse by a (now confirmed false) blog post that 2.0 is only color change, implying no tuning change. Actually there was a tuning improvement, confirmed by their own engineer and Crinacle's graph. They pretty much botched up the marketing of 2.0, causing a lot of confusion.
@David Giler By the way on the HifiGo page, you can select 1.0 or 2.0. But as I mentioned above according to Kinera both tuned the same, only color difference. Not sure about the Apos one. If they hold old 1.0 stock, probably with old/original 1.0 tuning? May want to confirm with Apos (they might not know) or directly with Kinera.
@David Giler Oh another thing, that particular colorway DMS had (sparkling blue+brown-ish), they called it "Mount Nanna", which is version 2.0.
Finally some thing that you and zeos agree on 😅
Very surprised about the IE300 in 2nd! But would be very interested in a Nanna Review, though my wallet might disagree!
Yeah, comfort-wise I just had to put it up there. “On the go” comfort matters so much.
Thank you 🙏
Are the IE300's small enough to where you could lay your head sideways on a pillow with them in and they would get uncomfortable? Also yes a full review on the IE300 would be cool.
It's be a great help if you could site the music you are listening to when giving your descriptions so that you can be more detailed and the viewer can listen to the song and understand what you are specifically describing
Any recommendation between: Moondrop Arias v. Etymotic ER2XR v. Tin HiFi T4. I like a warm very detailed sound generally speaking.
I havent listen to Nannas yet. If you wait and get MEST on sale that should be #1, MEST are fantastic
Will you do a comparison between the blessing 2 and the ie 300?
He did briefly compare them in his Blessing 2 Dusk review.
both are trash at this price point :) np
@@hurryhurry9723 What would you reccomend for 300?
@@albertxion513 it really depends on ur sound tastes and from what source ur planning to drive them. For my taste, u can try and look up to LZ A7, Fiio FD5, TA Legacy 5, DUNU DK2001. All of them I've listened to or owned and can tell that they're great for 300$ budget.
@@hurryhurry9723 depth is very important change my mind
IEMs can be such oddities. With comply tips I found they spoiled the sound on all my IEMs yet it suits the MEST really well here. DMS dislikes the Dunu Zen and I and others love it. Some people find the Kinera Nanna dull. I think the Sennheiser looks like a good buy for people who don't want to get involved in trying the huge selection number of chifi IEMs and deal with spotty build quality at the lower end. Agree on mmcx, they should stop using them. It can be enough to put me off buying an IEM.
" I think the Sennheiser looks like a good buy for people who don't want to get involved in trying the huge selection number of chifi IEMs and deal with spotty build quality at the lower end"
Exactly man.. I feel like you can just buy the Sennheiser and be done with it, if you don't care to embark on that chifi journey. I've seen them for as low as $199 around christmas time so deals can be had.
How come blessings 2 dusk weren't on here considering you did like them?
I didn't know iems where so complex in design
I feel like I want the IE300
Totally agree with Nanna being the first and Zen being the last
Anyone else watching this on an ultrawide and really appreciating it?
i am come from jvc ha-fx850 the bass iem really satisfied with them for bass but after 2 years i want some micro detail that able to surprise me with huge & wide soundstage, get my self mest & hell i get all that i wanted for, for what im paying for is sure filling the whole in my head after so long.
Wish you did tin p1 and p2.
Your description of the Nan-na kinda sounded like a HD 600 in IEM form, can we get a word on that?
INTRO SONG: West & Zander - Autumn Haze
i landed here from LINUS!!!!
Ie300 pro review would be cool
IE300 cable microphonics, were they an issue/excessive as some reviews have mentioned?
you should check out the insanely good for the price KZ iems. literally 20-60 bucks and sound pretty solid
Perhaps not insanely good. Other $20-60 sets available are often better when it comes to to timbre or general performance.
3 years ago there was little competition at KZ pricing, now they're not really notewortht to be honest, and their price more or less is accurate given what is now available at the same price.
He did review the ZSN Pro a while back and really liked them.
Fearless S8F/P review please!
So does this mean that there won't be a dedicated IE300 review? What version of the Nanna is that? 2.0?
I have Nanna 2.0 + Dethonray Honey H1. GREAT!!! This is perfect iem in this price, really better many iems +/- 1500$.
Hope You do the Fiio FD5
do you prefer the Nanna over the theiaudio oracle?
b2 dusks vs ie 300? you really liked the dusks in your video so I'm surprised to not see them here.
It was a review unit passing though. Couldn’t hold onto it.
listening to this with my Samsung AKG included with my note 10
Seeaudio neo vs Campfire Andromeda could be interesting both being 1099
Nanna review please :)
If the u12t is there, how would you rate it dms ?
could you make a cheaper step on the ladder? XD
I'm used to headphones and want to try IEMs but am not convinced I want to spend 300 bucs on IEMs yet
Check out the moondrop aria
what's the best iem for fps gaming?
Why does he dislike mmcx? Personally, I like it so much more than 2 pin
I would say because they spin around which is annoying when putting them on and the connector tends to fail over time.
They can be stiff to disconnect and people often damage wires or IEMs over time with them.
I would love to see an "around $200 roundup". You know, FiiO FH3 vs IKKO OH10 vs Seeaudio Yume vs Thieaudio Legacy 4 vs Moondrop KXXS vs Meze Rai Solo vs Pinnacle P1 vs QOA Adonis, etc. Also close IEMs to this price range like FiiO FA7 and Kinnera Freya which are just a bit more expensive could be interesting
It is Nanna 2.0 right....
What's the difference between an IEM and an earphone?
1 good dynamic driver beat all 500-5000$ Iems in bass coherency and naturality
Example Sennheiser Ie 300,600.
Have you tried the Beyerdynamic Xelento, i think theyre awesome
Even being able to afford expensive IEMs, their use case is not suited for that budget imo
How do the audio 64 a6t iems stack up these days?
How about IEMS the average person would consider? Like sub 200 bucks stuff?
