  • The commanding officer of 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, inspects Marines with Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion at Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Albany, Georgia.
The Battalion Commander’s Inspection is the final step in the training process, It evaluates that the Marine is indeed ready to graduate.
During the inspection, the inspecting officer or drill instructor evaluates the Marine’s appearance in uniform while the Marine is asked questions on Marine Corps knowledge, such as the maximum effective range of their rifle and the proper measurements of uniform articles, such as belt length and trouser length.

that was my platoon. the reason we didn't do the inspection in our Alphas are because we had gotten evacuated because of hurricane Mathew. we didn't have our dress uniforms or service uniforms. so the only uniform we had were our woodlands.

@@devioustea Wrong. If you are already a Marine past the Crucible then you just get recycled to the next junior company of Marines.

No it’s almost impossible to fail realistically the drill instructors set you up by that point to where you basically cannot fail

Serving as an officer in Tank, Infantry, and Arty battalions, I found the procedure of snapping the rifle out of the Marines hands a bit sluggish at best. Not what we did with 1/4, 3rd Tanks, or 4/11. Must be the "Progressive Marine Corps". Not fiction but fact from Captain Clark's Almanac.

They can ask you anything they want, but it's usually something to do with the Marine Corps like general orders or whatever. They're mostly looking for bearing, that's why they make you scream your knowledge all day everyday in boot camp.
