    I just bought a 2012 Altima coupe, 6spd manual, and had it buffed and ceramic coated yesterday. When a friend took me to pick it up, he couldn't believe it was my car sitting there in the parking lot. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a nine. Only flaw is that front bumper did not come out like the rest of the car. I'm going to have the bumper repainted, otherwise, it's like having new siding put on your house without changing the old crappy looking front door. This guys video very well done!!!

    Glad to hear you say that some cars are too dirty for a rinseless wash. I can't tell you how many people that detail do rinseless washes no matter how dirty the car is. I had one person that does this get mad at me for disagreeing with his practice. I don't like to do them even when they are just a little dusty. At the end of the day I guess I should just say I'm "traditional" and against rinseless washes in any situation :)

I had a "pro" apply it, Moh's 2x coats and a booster on top PPF and now after washing is with the 2 bucket method , i noticed streaks all over the vehicle, he will not answer his emails. • @VisualProDetailing
      @VisualProDetailing  5 років тому +2

      Hi James, depending on how bad the etchings are I'm not sure you will be able to do that. I would recommend taking it to who installed the coating for you and seeing if they can spot polish those areas and re apply the coating to those small sections only.

    • @11Forty6
      @11Forty6 5 років тому

      Thanks for replying. I’ve already done that and then over the weekend I got some me more hits from birds. Here in Australia their mess is pretty strong stuff. On previous cars I could just polish it out with ease but my new car has the ceramic coat which means I can’t. I’m starting to think that if these coatings are that delicate then I’d rather go back to the old ways on washing, polishing and waxing. At least I could deal with any issues myself.

    • @VisualProDetailing
      @VisualProDetailing  5 років тому +1

      @@11Forty6 true. Some coatings are more resistant to these types of damage than others. For instance the coating I sell actually warranties against this and will keep the dropping from etching as long as it is removed in a day or two.

    • @VisualProDetailing

      kyle flucht are you going through tunnels washes where the brushes and flaps and are against the surface? If so, this is the problem. These types of car washes and so abrasive they can and will put swirl marks even in a Ceramic Coated vehicle. ONLY touchless car washes should be used for any vehicle when not hand washing, coated or not.

    My thoughts on the ceramic coatings a new truck no washing and waxing would keep the new. Your truck old but with dual looking then yes keep in mind the price you spend on a professional ceramic coatings is the price of a paint job in my opinion that ceramic coatings I think all that is extra clear coats added to the factory clear coat.

    There are too many different types of Ceramic coating out there that has inorganic compounds mixed in, cheap 9H with too much carrier fluids and the 10H which provides a lifetime guarantee. I've used many kinds and at times learned the hard way with some because of my lack of patience when applying these coatings but with all of the cheap shit that's being sold out there you'll be very lucky to buy the "TRUE" solution unless you're getting them straight from the manufacturer or main seller of these products. I've seen many videos on UA-cam and most of these guys are advertising the cheap shit that's floating out there that has too much carrier fluid mixed into the 9H and you're barely getting the good stuff in it. The REAL 9H & 10H it is so thick there is no way you're getting that solution without using a fine mist of water spraying on your car to spread it properly and there is a process even removing it properly which from experience it's a 3 step wiping process to just get the blooding thing off!
    The BEST method of caring for Ceramic is just doing a manual car wash with a heavy duty spray gun and simply just wiping it off. Forget about adding additional wax coatings and do not go through any car wash as this guy here failed to mention that if you do that it won't damage your coating but it will for sure decrease the effectiveness of the hydrophobic effect that 9H & 10H offers! My suppliers told me that it can take 1-2+ weeks for 100% curing unless you're applying heat lamps like the Thai guys which is true way to go and not to wash it for a couple of days. This year I will be trying out the 10H solution which is more an even thicker coating but as for the front end of your car I would recommend getting 5+ coatings of 9H or 10H and then getting PPF done in the front end, trust me your ceramic will not protect you from rock chips as I've been reapplying and testing it for the last 2+ years on it's durability!

    • @Khris1111
      @Khris1111 6 років тому

      Englebert Humperdink Views 10H actually doesn’t exist
      9H is the highest level pencil graphite hardness
      Anything beyond that is bs
      Any ceramic coating claiming above 9H is a lie because there is no such thing

    • @peterparker9444
      @peterparker9444 6 років тому +1

      KMONEY8989 10H does exist because one of the biggest manufacturer that I buy from just put it out last year and they didn't call it 10H because it provides a thicker pencil hardness but because of new mixture of compounds that are included that gives you a lifetime warranty on the seal that it provides. The hydrophobic effect will not be any better as this will deteriorate in due time as what most people do wrong is use cleaning agents or do drive through car washes which destroys that hydrophobic protection.
