What do you guys think about the 2021 CBR1000RR? And how much more are you willing to pay for the 2022 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade when it releases in the USA compared to the CBR1000RR? (*not referring to the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP) Thanks again for watching and all of the support lately, I really appreciate it guys... I can't say thank you enough for helping me continue to live the dream of playing with the toys I love and getting to call it "work".
Buying this bike very soon, very excited. Will be my first 1000cc bike, my last bike was a 600rr and it was a blast but this is my dream bike and I'm finally pulling the plug and getting it!
Having owned and ridden both of those bikes, you're in for a treat with that upgrade lol! Be safe though, you're almost doubling your horsepower as this thing is an animal... Enjoy it though, nothing better!
Cbr is a great bike , this bike is an all rounder. Good ergonomics, power, it’s very agile and light weight which aids in good handling. Overall a very reliable bike from honda. My fire blade has done 21 k kms and with zero problems. It’s my daily commute
You hit the nail on the head with the "all-rounder"! That's what they've been known for over so many years now. Are they the most powerful? Nah. Best handling? Nah. Lightest or most tech? Nah but when it comes to putting it all together in a package that anyone can hop on and feel comfortable while riding on the ragged edge or just going to get milk - it's hard to beat it! Plus being able to put so many miles on it and not have to worry about reliability or resale value, makes it a tempting bike if you're in the market. Heck yeah on the 21k, you've been putting some time in on her! What gen is your CBR? Thanks for checking out the video and commenting too, I appreciate it bud!
have 2017 Matt black, will never let it go. My daily commuter to work. Nothing is more fun and though its not the most comfy bike being sport one... still... very doable for everyday ride... ride safe fam
man, this review really helped. i’m waiting to upgrade to a stronger bike and i’m between the panigale v2 and this. however, both have trade offs that I either gotta wait for or settle for an R1. I wish this had quick shifter at least, even if not cruise control
If it came down to looks the RR wins over the RR-R in my opinion. The RR-R has that ugly notch in the front that looks like a cross between a cbr600rr and a yamaha R1
I just bought my very first litter bike two days ago. 2021 1KRR. Went from 650F to this one. I got to say, it's stupid fast 😆 lol. I still don't know how to use it. I don't understand those settings. Great bike. I wish it had the Fireblade on it.
Heck yeah, congrats man! lol yessir, spot on with the "stupid fast" part! It's wild how fast your perception of "fast" can change as the 650F is a fast bike, no doubt about it... but when compared against something like this, it doesn't hold a candle to it and it quickly reminds you there are different levels to this stuff haha! Take your time and respect it, she can bite ya real quick bud. Stay safe out there and enjoy all that newfound horsepower ;)
They come choked to the usa. 160hp at best. Get the ecu flashed deflap the exaust pair delete, intake blocks removed. Then you will say it's stupid fast. About 30hp unlocked.
Question, does this model have a HESD? The reason I ask is that I have read a spec article tat stes it does but I did notice it while looking at my own bike. I own a 2021. Thanks for your time.
Nice information. I was considering finding one of these engines for the 92 inch wheelbase trophy Kart truck. Yes I stretched the frame, it's not for the track. My intent is to get it licensed and set it up rally style with BF. TA's. It isnset up with a Limited slip transaxle all wheel drive. I realize the bike engine is a 6-speed. That's good as it will be doing the duties. But considering how light the six-speed differential is I thought it would be nice to have six quick change gear ratios plus reverse. It's just waiting for a engine looking for a home. I kind of thought I'd have to have the matching ignition box and possible throttle by wire. But now I am curious about the rest of the electronics and whether it will integrat. Or if there is a standalone computer. Perhaps just an older engine. Rolling frame with transaxle body with Windows and Doors 2 seats is just over 900# One of my other options is the GL 1800. It just takes up so much room. lol Can never have too much horsepower you know. 🤠🐂🏞️
I had this one in 2019 and I got a BMW S1000RR 2020 race edition. I still miss this bike and gladly will come back for it as soon as someone buys my S1000 The only reason I went to BMW in the first place was overpriced honda bikes and lack of a cruise control which makes long rides a pain
Thanks for posting up! Always interesting to hear other's opinions after changing brands and if they were happy or want to swap back etc. I'm curious, what do you like on the CBR1000RR over the S1000RR?
I just posted about cruise control too! I love the looks of this bike better than the S1000RR, but cruise control stock is a big plus for me. Given the ergonomics, I don’t know why it’s not standard on sport bikes to give the wrist a rest. It’s why I’m leaning towards the Bimmer. Pulling the trigger in September.
something is definitely wrong with Honda and they are giving us confusing SKUs when it comes to their liter sportbikes. Where is the non-SP version of their Fireblade? I dont even see the new CB1000R NSC for sale anywhere.
Hello brother I just wanted to know since you are very knowledgeable on these bikes I have a 2017 CBR 1000rr SP2 and my question was is the electronics package with the ABS and everything together in stock form exactly the same as my SP2 ?????? I think it pretty much is but if it isn’t I would like to know if they changed a few things for the 2021 model that you’re displaying don’t think they have but that’s my question thank you
I thought the rrr sp is 215 hp in europe and 190 hp in the US due to emmisions laws? Do the rrr sp and rr non-sp have different engines? I thought everything was the same except suspension and breaks.
The best bang for your buck coming from a 2008 would be the 2017+ platform when it comes to feeling the largest jump in overall performance. The 2012+ is a decent upgrade but not enough to justify going through all of that in my opinion. If money is no object though, I'd hop on the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP that I just posted a video on OR if you can wait a bit longer then you'll have the standard CBR1000RR-R Fireblade model in 2022. But that's only if you "have" to have the best of the best.
@@HondaProKevin thank you for this awesome information. I really appreciate it. I'm in college so not looking for an upgrade quite yet. Maybe 4 5 years down the line
lol I know, right? It's mind boggling to me that this is still an issue we're talking about in 2021 with the CBR1000RR! ... and probably 2030 CBR1000RR too at this rate lol! No wait. By 2030, they will be called the CBR-R-1000RR-RR! Since we're already adding that extra R in there for the CBR1000RR-R models lol!
I am assuming that the new body style will be available in the base model rr for 2022?? I don’t wanna spend 28k for a fire blade but I want the new body. In the states.
That's what everyone is hoping... Usually, we'll see a year behind though and not two and this CBR1000RR-R platform was introduced for Europe in 2020. We thought we were going to get both models for 2021, instead of just the mac daddy $28k model. The last year has been a wild one though when it comes to new model announcements and delays because of the corona mess so who knows lol!

for th price of fireblade rr-r sp model id rather get the bmw s1000rr or even the panigale v4, im sorry honda is just drunk if they think they're european bike when it comes to tech, fit and finish and design. ✌️
Honda can make anything they want in the motorcycle market, they beat everyone at their best strengths, they make every single engine type that exists and every single motorcycle class, sure they don't make them all every year but they can, and when sometimes they make less powerful motorcycles it's because it's not needed, plus smoother more reliable and fuel efficient engines, if Honda wants they can shit on bmw or Ducati by making an even better v4 engine
Opt for the V4 so you can work on your bike more than ride it over all honda is a better ride as a whole to reiterate what someone already stated they aren't great at anything but they're good at everything
