All y’all commenting about BFS, yes I know it exists. But I work with Lew’s, and as of right now, we don’t have a BFS type reel. So therefore, I cannot just “go pick up an aldebaran” and try it out. Spinning rod is what I like, and what I’m PAID to talk about, so I’m gonna stick with that
Not to beat the horse you killed, but that new Team Lews Pro SP SLP has a shallow spool, and could probably do the trick paired with a Lews custom ML rod.
For sure! I just don’t have one yet
@TylersReelFishing , here I am , a Lil late on the video, but like I said just got into fishing last year, I love LEWS , I believe it's the best for Most people like me, not able to spend a ton but still want quality gear! Thanks for all the videos, for real you help make My days great , and I get pumped to fish!
@@dabearsfan3533lol bass pros is really great to price wise lews is kinda expensive in my opinion
@user-jl4ic2et4i Even better is that Lew's makes a lot, if not all, of Bass Pro's reels. Lol
Thank you for actually just having chill fishing vids and not dumb challenges 👍👍
Does challenges are actually fun to watch if you find the right ones
@@cbdn60 ya I agree but he just doesn’t have boring videos is what I mean
I completely fazed out my spinning rods into BFS casting gear. I’m officially a BFS junky! Love your content Tyler. Keep it coming my friend!
Love this channel. helps me so much upgrade my fishing.
That’s the whole goal!
Awesome video Tyler... I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to make such good content for us and giving fisherman’s good advice on lures... can’t wait to see what videos and surprises you have next for us... keep at it 👍🏼
Giving y’all good videos is my job!
Tyler’s word of the day: ‘finesse’.
Bonus words: ‘delicately’ and ‘refined’.👌🏼
Your one of the best instructional you tube anglers! Love it! Thank you! Enjoying my Bass Forcast app too!
Thanks mark! Glad you’re enjoying it
Great channel, and you do a great job explaining techniques. Keep up the good work as a fellow Texan it is appreciated.
Thank you for watching Dave!
Hey Tyler, I'm brand new to Bass fishing so, I've been watching a crap ton of videos. I liked how clear and concise and in depth your videos are. Keep it up and ill keep watching!
Thank you!!
Excellent video. I learned a lot about a subject I thought I knew a lot about.
Heck yeah! Always learning around here
Love your videos thanks for the great content it's the only thing that got me trough the pandemic thanks
I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!
Can't thank you enough for these videos. These are by far the most informative and entertaining bass fishing videos I've seen. I would love to see a creek fishing video or a link to one if you've already done that lol PA creek fisherman here. Love the videos keep up the good work!
I don’t think I have any creek videos on the channel. I appreciate you watching though!
Finesse fishing is my favorite way to catch bass! Great informative video tyler!
Thanks homie!
Mad heat 🔥🔥
BFS (Bait Finesse) casting reels will allow you to throw light lures with the same sensitivity and casting distance as a spinning reel. The only problem is its slowly making its way here from Japan. Majority of good BFS reels are JDM reels. Kastking just came out with their BFS reel for the US market and its amazing for $60. Finding a Light action casting rod, thats an even harder task.
Been waiting for this one for a while now. I’m up in Minnesota and haven’t had much luck in the late fall. Maybe it’s the snow🤷♂️😂
I'm in Louisiana and the weather doesn't really go into winter until January. It is like 80 degrees throughout all of fall until December. I find it almost useless to finesse fish here. We don't even have smallmouth. It is either really hot or warm. It never really gets that cold.
this channel in general is just some absolute heat... no other way to put it
Thanks homie 🙏🏼
The stick bait wacky rigged with a Ned head is called a “flick shake” in some places
Great video
great tips bro. i needee this as i try to crack this Kentucky Bass code
You’ve got this!
Guys the goat
There's an entire BFS (Bait finesse sysyem) movement that has been coming to the US for a while now. The shimano 16 Aldebaran BFS or Daiwa Alphas Air with an L or UL power rod excel at casting lures in this category. I much prefer a BFS combo over a spinning combo. I challenge you to get your hands on an Aldebaran BFS and a Shimano sensilite L rod and see if your opinion changes. You're in texas, I could even send you mine.
Something you definitely haven't made a video on. Probably worth it to bring the BFS category to a wider audience and we could get more companies bringing BFS gear to the US instead of having to import it from Japan.
I've just gotten myself 2 different baitcasting combos and have learned to use them I still feel ten times as confident in my spinning setups, I can cast farther and waaay more accurately on my spinning combos than I can on the bait caster's....maybe I just haven't learned it yet but rny confidence is in my spinning equipment
I’m personally much more accurate with a spinning rod, but I’m new to baitcasters, haha. Thanks for the great content Tyler!
Once you become real good at the baitcaster, you’ll realize how much more accurate you can be with it
Hi i just discovered your channel and love every single sec of it. Thank you. Here in South Africa september is spring and going into summer time what lures do you suggest for big pong fishing of the bank?
Whenever you have a fishing question or technique you want to learn, search “TylersReelFishing ____” and in that blank, put the topic you are curious about. Odds are, ive already made a video about it👍🏼
Hey Tyler, I'd like to see a video on cold weather fishing gear--not rods and reels, but bibs and other practical things you do to keep warm when it's cool. So many things advertised, but what is your go-to to be out of the lake in the fall/winter and not freeze.
Me too!
I’ll make that as soon as it gets colder! It’s been crazy nice weather around here
@@TylersReelFishing Agreed, it has been really nice here too in East Tennessee. Just trying to be ready!
Excellent!
Thanks!
I understand the appeal for a bfs reel. But what people fail to realize that you will still get better sensitivity, drag, and easier castability out of a spinning setup. Don't get me wrong a bfs is definitely fun and addicting but something like a spinning setup just works with anything finesse.
Gotta look into BFS it is awesome! Baitcasting finesse is amazing
Hey man love your content, with your braid to flouro on your spinning setup, how long is your flouro leader?
Search “TylersReelFishing leader”. I talk about it in that video, and I’m gonna make an updated one soon about leaders and length. Use to be 6-8 feet, now I may be changing my views
Hey Tyler, I love fishing with a ned rig on my local pond, but the problem is, there’s muck on the bottom, not rock. Would you still use this technique?
Let’s go I just got a new spinning rod
Those finesse baits can load the boat on a tough day.
That is all I fish with all year round, I toss in some mepps spinners and some x-raps on my big rods for musky
Also,I still can't do the drop shot...I can rig it good but I just haven't had success yet,in a pond where I absolutely slay them on the ol' t rig...fish are crazy. And just so you know,I buy and order specific baits and tackle that you recommend. Also,a person can't underrate the importance of confidence, and that is somthin that I somtimes slack on when it comes to using new stuff
Fishing with a spinning rod is like handling a beautiful work of art. Fishing with a baitcaster is like handling a fire hose
what rod type are you using for your finess combo? you mentioned you were using a 7'2" Medium for the bait caster, buy didn't mention what you were using for finesse spinning. Another great video
I use this rod: bit.ly/3lQ9Fsk
In either a 7’M or 7’2” ML
nice video
would you consider texas rigging a 5" finesse worm (weightless/light bullet weight) finesse fishing? im thinking about upgrading to a strictly finesse setup but i most often throw texas rigs
You definitely could. One of the original finesse bass baits, Charlie Brewer’s slider worm, can be rigged Texas style on special jig heads designed for it.
I always catch the most fish and variety of different species eith smaller baits and finesse techniques.
Yes another one
Always
Ned rigs work for largies here in Florida for me 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve tried this and never had much luck on it, but it would be cool if you could show if a ned right in a jig would work. Don’t know what video you’d use it for though
I would not recommend using a Ned rig plastic on a jig as a trailer
Tylerrr so I was using my friends 13fishing fate black rod a couple days ago and I’m pretty sure it has micro guides he was fishing with a leader as well and it seemed the same as straight braid so that made me wanna go back to getting the tp1 black stick , what do you think I should do.
Whatever you feel comfortable with man!
@@TylersReelFishing Alright sounds good, thanks
Hey Tyler, sorry to keep asking, when is that boat driving video coming?
Eventually haha
I don't know if anyone is gonna see this or not but 2 questions of mine are
1. For finesse fishing do you work the baits by reeling them in or on certain occasions do you twitch your rod or what?
2. I watched a how to video on how to pitch and flip a bait but if pitching is to make a quieter approach then what's the purpose for flipping is then?
Don't know the answer to number 2 but I can answer number one by my experience. I always twitch my rod more with this technique as most are bottom baits. With the small swim bait, you will be realing more but still doing small twitchs.
I don't really consider a wacky rig a "finnese" technique, because sometimes they like a wacky rig really fast, and they want a really big worm sometimes. And the wacky rig actually works really well in a high pressure system, at least for me.
I could see that!
Hey Tyler, Can u show me how to catch black crappie in fall time
Possibly!!
If you want to through bottom lures in super weedy lakes do you have to go all weed less or how would you fish it
Weightless and weedless
Hey Tyler I live here in Michigan with the fishing is tough especially when you’re a bank fisherman so I listen to everybody out there in the ideas that they put out what they think is the best way to catch bass fishing from the bank is the hardest and it is very very tough at times and I just can’t understand why these freshwater fish you have to be so finesse and you just can’t get the strike that you need like if you were in saltwater, but I wish there was someone who did not include boats or kayaks just bank fishing only
Drop shot will help ya!
I will Definitely try it Thankyou Sir
What are the rod and reel specs on that spinning rod?
You should make a video on adjusting drag
I don’t really use drag a whole lot, besides on my spinning reels
@@TylersReelFishing ok I was mostly talking about spinning
I've caught a pickerel on a ned rig
In your opinion how many rods and reels should I have I currently own one baitcaster and 2 spinning and want to get into tournaments. I like fishing from Texas rigs to crankbaits and everything in between.
6. Four baitcasting and 2 spinning
@@TylersReelFishing alright thank you
If you were gonna fish a worm in water under 50-degree water what would you use
Finesse worm
I really wish BFS would catch on here in the US.
It will
Shout out to Tyler’s barber 💈! 😂😉
Haha yep she’s great
Ned Rig baby!!!!
You know it!
How long is your leader to the braid ?
I think I mentioned it in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/C9kSs-IC2QE/v-deo.html
