I'm normally a flat-out flat picking man, but soft thumbing "This Land is Your Land' was the ultimate song choice for this great 30's box. Mark you have excelled once again, it sounded like a cowboy recording straight out of the same era.

I just purchased the new Recording King RD-328 and love it. What a guitar for the price. Solid Adirondack spruce top, solid rose wood back and sides, and mahogany neck. What a guitar and it cost less than $800.00.

Hey so if anybody is wondering I’m the guy that Mark gave a bday shoutout for. My birthday is ending pretty soon but he wasn’t kidding when he said I literally know everything about 60’s R&B but I also know about everything else 60’s music related. Feel free to bring on any 60’s music trivia questions you have for me.

Went to see an acquaintance playing an outdoor gig here in rural Tasmania and he pulls out this old jazzbox he has just acquired. A 1938 Recording King Roy Smeck with a Charlie Christian pickup and everything. Never really been aware of this brand until today when, like buses, two cross my path at once.

I bought a Recording King for $20.00 at Red River guitars Carolton Texas.... about 20 years ago.. when I lived in Dallas Texas ... made in the 30s it had a big hole in the side and a piece of the back was gone also and the tuning keys were missing and so was the nut.... but I sold it at the Dallas guitar show for a $100.00 to an old man who collected banjos........ I was always finding stuff.... it takes $ to buy... It was the only Recording King guitar I have ever owned... yes it was a rosewood jumbo!

A common thing that still occurs today, especially with tools.
Just about every tool manufacturer produced tools for Sears / Craftsman, and many companies today even ones that do manufacture their own tools contract certain items from others.

The funny thing about "Hey, hey, what can I do", is that there was not enough "place" on an LP, so, they decided to not put it on LZ3. They chose to Face B this song on the other side of a 45 "Immigrant song" single. Imho, this song would have been the best of LZ3 album...
I still have my 45 Japanese pressing import edition bought in the 80's...
