Vintage Gibson Les Paul and SG Juniors sound so huge that it would probably be more appropriate to refer to them as Seniors. Awesome guitar, great choice of songs - well-done Mark (as always) 🤘
Guitar ocd You asked me if I grew up in London. Check out my comments about the Les Paul Junior that I just felt I had to make. I think you'll find it interesting. All the best, Keef
I must say I’ve never liked the looks of a junior. I feel like in comparison to nearly all other actual full size LPs, the junior has always looked cheap to me, and in ways where it didn’t feel like Gibson tried really at all to make the guitar look appealing. However, this video has made it glaringly clear why people love them: that tone. I’m sure many prefer the minimalist features and simplicity of the axe as well, but to me that sort of jangly, bell-like chime is priceless. And on a Gibson! Beautiful demo. The tonal character of the guitar and amp are represented attractively here.
oh yah baby , I have a Jr so I dig the vibe , mines like a 2015 so it's not nearly as cool as a '55 but I luv it , and now I have a cornucopia of Bowie tunes to try out on mine , thanks Mark , just a straight ahead rock and $%^&ing roll machine , the P90's were made for getting into it , crushed it dude. Happy birthday Jen , hope you're getting your rock on some.
Dude, addicted to your reviews and your NEW from home show. Awesome !! Love the way your zippers from your jacket run all up and down this axe!!! Play em like they were meant to be!!!
Mark always played songs that brought out the best in the guitars and without special effects, well, other than overdrive. The guy can play, too. All Gibson had to do is watch him on UA-cam and it was bye bye Norms, hello Nashville. No one does this show better than Mark.
If I ever get a vintage guitar the first will most definitely be a 50's Jr. Love the tone. I had a chance to play one before, I believe it was a 55 as well, but it might have been a 56. That thing just simply played itself!
"They gave these to children, Chad!! What were they thinking?!" M's enthusiasm is compelling, and the guitar warrants it. I used to wonder what kind of fuzz boxes the 60's bands used, and I see now it was the guitars themselves, no special effects necessary.
SupernalOne Mick Ronson got his sound by putting a cranked 100 watt Marshall through one 12" speaker. At least that was what I was told at the time....
All Bowie all the time. On the original recordings, Mick Ronson played guitar on songs 1 and 3, so who played guitar on the 2nd one? It was David Jones himself.
I sorta miss Mark. He knew more about the history of guitars. Especially Gibson and Epihones. I'm a Gibson guy I guess that's why. I love Lemmo a lot!! Especially when he uses the looper! Sorry Carlis.
There’s no other guitar in the world that represents the term “Less is More” than these. Awesome video, thanks Mark & Jen! :)
#gibsundaycomesearly #1955LPjr🇺🇸
1)Gene Jenie/David Bowie
2)Rebel Rebel/David Bowie
3)Ziggy Stardust/Bowie
straight up rock and roll machine🔥
Bowie/Ronson tribute, sweet demo @markagnesi HBD Jen🎉🍺
My Favourite Gibson guitar by far
Happy birthday Jen. Live your best life
because it`s all MAGIC ! thank you
The p90 just might be the perfect pickup. That student guitar and amp pair great together 😍

Miles of crunch. Who doesn't love a Les Paul Junior?
Fender
I've got to be missing something, whats so special about a Jr?
Prefer Strat and Tele
thotheface everything
@@billygoatgruff2554 Really? All i see is a cheap variant of the Les Paul.
I love the overdrive sound out of that combination. There's something so rad about the tone and simplicity of single pickup guitars
What a set list! Ziggy sounded amazingly awesome totally digging it Mark! Happy birthday Jen!

Happy Birthday, Miss Jen!!! ~~~ Love the all Bowie selection!!
Factoid, the guitar solo from Aqualung was played on a lpj given to Martin by Leslie West.
this is one of the best sounding guitars you have played here.
the neck is fantastic. A friend let me play his and I swapped him my Telecaster and I wanted to steal this guitar.
One of Mark's best demos ever. Perfect fit. 👍👍👍👍👍
Make a t-shirt that says all eq's at noon and a little bit of reverb and they'll sell
@@MarkAgnesi I truly don't ever remember Mark making a comment in one of his vids. Buy his shirts!
The cheap basturds wont just give me one, guess I am going to have to buy one. lol
@@MarkAgnesi Yup ,I own one !
Mark Agnesi oh my god I’m so buying some shirts and stickers
Mark Agnesi Awesome. You should promote this on the show. I had no idea. Totally getting one now.
When David Bowie found Mick Ronson he said "at last my Jeff Beck".
I played one today from 1958. It feels great to play a piece of history!
Love those tunes Brother..Excellent playing..tremendous energy
The LP jr.was Leslie Wests weapon of choice back in the 6O's.
It would have been nice to hear a few Mountain tunes played on it.
Happy Birthday Jen!! Mine was the 8th!
Loved the All Bowie set btw.
Great. Now I need to buy a Jr. Thanks Chad.
fair to play you my friend..what a welcome surprise ..breath of fresh air . a presenter who captivates the melody perfectly ,,,, mmm uk.
Yep. Set neck, P90, solid tail, no switch to get all funked up; Epic sound! Happy Happy, Jen!
Nobody:
Mark: “THEY GAVE THESE TO FREAKING CHILDREN, CHAD”
makes me laugh every time.
Have some David Bowie, Chad! Freaking love that p90!!! (Happy b-day Jen!)
The tone on Rebel Rebel was just insane....love those overtones coming out of that P90!
Happy birthday Jen
I love that color.

I think you'll find it interesting. All the best, Keef
This is the first time out of all the old ones I've heard that actually sounds like mine ! Awesome !
I can dig it.
Amazing. I love learning new songs, thanks Mark!

I really miss Mark on GOTD. Lemmo is technically very proficient but doesnt have the same GUSTO as Mark and I prefer Marks music selection.

Happy birthday Jen!
Happy Birthday Jen! It's my birthday on the 11th too!
That sounds great!
A Mick Ronson guitar of the day triple play. So awesome.
I had a epiphone lp jr with a humbucker in the bridge as my first electric guitar
"They gave these to children, Chad!! What were they thinking?!" M's enthusiasm is compelling, and the guitar warrants it. I used to wonder what kind of fuzz boxes the 60's bands used, and I see now it was the guitars themselves, no special effects necessary.

Be loving the singlecut LP jr's. Some day I will own a 55-57 junior. Gosh those things rip.
That is one fine sounding chunk of wood and P90...!! RIP David Bowie
Best guitar ever
Pretty rockin' tone for a "student" guitar.
Well it has a P90 in the bridge, of course
@@ThePFRG I put a Seymour Duncan jb-4 in my epiphone Les Paul and it sounds pretty awesome, too. The right pickup makes all the difference.
I miss this guy!
Great guitarist and great guitar, suona da dio!
Happy Birthday Jen! From Kelly and Michael!!!
My sons bday was the 11th as well , good day Veterans Day and Semper Fi from Alabama
Love it! Great playing and another great video!
Ok Señor Mark... can you say “me encanta” ; closer to I luv it
Mark is the best. Love the way he plays
Thanx for that tip on storing the original tuners. I have a '61 J-45 and I've been starting to worry.
Holy shit! What a sound
Happy birthday to Jen the giggle master :) Os
I had a Gibson years ago that I think was called the paul? but maybe it was a JR? Happy Birthday Jen!

After six mins he plugs in the Junior for those who need to skip ahead or start banging your head against a wall. 👍
Four mins of guitar sound.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN !! ❤️❤️
