Mark and Jen- you may have started this to sell a few guitars but you ended up making a lot of people smile and feel good 5 nights a week. Best of luck, Homie. All EQs at noon....just a little bit of reverb.
That sunburst....it looks like someone cut open the most succulent, sweet, plum ever picked off a tree, and that guitar sounds as good as it looks. Thanks Mark for making your last Flattop Friday so memorable.
I've been crying all week. Mark had been part of my life everyday and it's sad to see him go. Throughout everyday, his videos have always been there to give me a smile. Thank you, Mark! Been watching for years now and we love you and we're gonna miss you. Go on and make us proud at Gibson - we are routing for you. Tonight gents, let's put all the EQs at noon with just a little bit of reverb in honor of Mark. Here's to you, Mark! God Bless you and your family and keep us posted about your life....I swear someone is cutting onions in here right now.
Mark,,, you inspired a guy who cannot play the guitar to buy over $6,000.00 worth of guitars 🎸 over the last 3 years! Mark Agnesi is a great American Guitarist ! I hope Gibson is smart enough to let us see you from time to time!!! You Sir are a treasure to the guitar 🌎 world !!!
Best sounding acoustic guitar I've ever heard on a phone, so I can only imagine what it must be like in person! So crisp, yet warm, too. Gorgeous specimen!! Thanks!
My God that sounded tremendous. Any guitar that actually just makes you want to jam the eff out on chords for hours and hours is a hell of an instrument
It may not be the most watched episode, but FTF to me have always been the highlight of the week. They never disappoint really. It's kinda trippy to hear Mark say hes not really an acoustic player because he is a awesome acoustic player.
Thank you for this Mark and your playing was never better than that first tune. I should know the song. Tommy Emmanuel has played it a lot. I love Flattop Friday as well. Acoustics are so present and intimate, they really reflect the player a lot. Old Gibson acoustics are my favorite by far and this SJ-200 is stunning! The pinnacle for sure. One more tomorrow......good luck and God bless you and your family. You will be missed!
Definitely one of the most beautiful guitars in the entire run of Guitar Of The Day. Seriously gonna miss these videos. Congratulations and good luck at your new gig! You’ll tear it up for sure!!
Mark , I hope your new job shows and gives you the same amount of love and respect this crowd your leaving here gives you.. You truly have a love and respect gig here... I hope the best for you and your's....
I love acoustic guitars because they have such a natural feeling and warmth. It’s the only instrument I play that I feel like I’m apart of. Acoustic guitars make me feel human

Idk if you remember this but on flat top Friday last year I requested that you play some cat Stevens for my grandma. I was so glad you actually did it! Ever since then flat top Friday has been my favorite GOTD day. Thanks for all you’ve done mark! You’re gonna kill it at Gibson.
Farewell Mark, us guys in Australia will miss your ‘Flat Top Friday’, but we’re hearing that Gibson have ‘Head Hunted’ you. All the very best, cheers Jim Johnson Melbourne Australia
Did I literally say "Wow" when I saw that case open? No! I actually said "Wow!". IMHO, the Old Man section sounded as rich as a 12-string. What a collective work of Art & Craft. Thanks for picking such an unattainable gem to play for us.
Can't express my relief enough to you guys, I'm so glad this series is being handed off to Lemmo. He's the only one I could envision in filling marks "guitar of the day" shoes.
Wow! Sensational!! I had a re-issue Gibson SJ200 with Rosewood back and sides about 25 years ago and it was one of my favorite guitars ever. Sure wish I had it now.!
So bittersweet, like losing a good friend, Mark, best of luck to you and your family In Nashville , I’m sure lemmo will do an excellent job ...And bring the fun! Rock on Brother!!!
Very sad to see you go, Mark. Loved watching and listening. Your knowledge and passion for guitars is contagious. My two dream guitars is to one day have a Gibson acoustic and a Taylor guitar. So knowing Gibson has you on board is very reassuring. Cheers!
Of all the guitar of the days I've ever seen you do Mark this takes the cake! You are an exceptional acoustic guitar player ....really fantastic playing today! The best I've ever seen you do brother! Gibson's gonna f it up eventually like they always do so chances are he'll be back in a year or so... :p
@@Esquire-ul9xs There's already evident signs of that
@@Phil_the_Fedora_Musician Sooner than expected lol!
That guitar is so expensive that he actually took his jacket off lol
Respect!
@@dundaravewine2390 I just double-checked the website and it's a $125,000 guitar
$6,000 for a new one.
You know he wouldn't wanna scratch that Gibson.
Might even cost him his new job.
I was about to write the same comment.
Best sounding guitar I’ve ever heard…
I don't think I have ever seen Mark take the jacket off to play before
brian lane he must be going to the gym
No zipper rash allowed on that pre-War beauty. Flattop Friday be damned. :-)
@@MINOTAURunOfficial - Exactly. Certain scratches can be costly when it comes to the value of a lovely collectible guitar like this.

I'll say it again you're a great acoustic guitar player.
100% . I was surprised to hear him say he's "not really an acoustic player" -- I have always really liked his acoustic fingerstyle playing.
I gotta say, that Gibson sounds awesome. Don't tell anyone I admitted that.😒
wayback playback nothing beats an old Gibson or Martin
He’s a phenomenal player
I'm a hardcore Martin guy. It's a running joke with Guitar ocd and me.
