Want more??? Let us know in the comments and you will certainly get more! Thanks for watching our video, it means so much :D
FudgeMuppet wait do u have a build of the armor and the magic u were using
the mythic Don is in oblivion
WE WANT MORE
I agree this is something I might watch more of
Pls more
*Level 20*
Courier: _"I have an invitation for you!"_
*60 levels later*
Me: _"Hmm, maybe I should complete this museum questline now."_
Silus _"Ah, my first visitor!"_
silus = (forever alone)
The girl out side that tells you to not go in must be very good at her job.
Jacob Saffold that's why I just stole all of his stuff and left. Those robes look cool on me
im pretty sure the mythic dawn isnt very liked in skyrim so no one would go.
having the Marhune's Razor at level 20 can be cool ;)
Imagine keeping a shard of a dagger safe for generations only to give it up for 600 gold.
Jose Pascacio
Excuse me, 601 gold ;)
CGCGCG91 that extra piece of gold really sold the deal
I paid like 300-400 gold for it couple of days ago.
I straight up murdered him for it...every time.
Next2Death you must be fun at parties
Lord Dagon is no trickster... He rewarded you with daedra hearts! (Disassembly required)
Honestly my biggest motivation in doing this quest was an easy source of daedra hearts (the daedra respawn about every two days). Hey, I need to smith daedra stuff for wall decorations!
He’s very generous, indeed.
@@troodon1096 that was my 1st reason, the 2nd for me is that badass cult mantle
"Your hands only" the courier says... yet somehow it is meant to be handed to everyone?
Gavin Leonard i think they say that by default
TJG804-gaming yea Ik they do, it's just kinda funny all the same
Gavin Leonard lmao
"Ah, my first visitor"
I'm more concerned about how the couriers keep finding the Dragonborn. You travel all over Skyrim at a pretty fast pace never really settling down or having a permanent home address (you can own houses but how much time do you really spend there?) but these guys manage to find your exact location every time. It's a bit unnerving. They'd make great Dark Brotherhood assassins.
I think its interesting to point out that this "Paradise" the mythic dawn promised involved their loyal followers getting eaten alive over and over for all eternity.
They didn't go to the Deadlands in the after life. Mankar was allowed to make his own pocket in Oblivion.
Iirc they were tortured in order to strengthen them so that they would be worthy to rule in Dagon’s new Tamriel
@@pelinalwhitestrake4196 I admire you, champion of man! 😍
It reminds me of a cautionary tale about the devil I heard as a kid. A man sees the devil at the end of his bed and the devil says he will give him one wish in trade for his soul. The man says "I want to live forever". And the devil says "Deal"
The man goes back to sleep and thinks if was a dream. The next day he accidentally burns himself making breakfast, he feels pain but when he checks the mark the pain and the blister dissappear.
He take a knife and cautiously cuts himself, again there is pain and he draws blood. But the wound he makes and the pain dissappear and he is fine again.
He is amazed and run out onto the motorway with his head raised to the sky and his arms open and gets smacked by a huge truck.
He wakes up inside a coffin and begins banging on it panicking.
The devil appears at the end of the coffin like at the end of the bed
The man says "hey you said I would live forever"
And the Devil laughs and says
"yes but I didn't say where you would live"
If you open the display case containing the last page of the Mysterium Xarxes and hit it with either a melee attack or an offensive spell, it turns into a bucket. Explain the lore behind that one.
Connor Tyler it's just an Easter egg
my guess its not a real page, and silus just enchanted a bucket to look like it, as the real one was most likely destroyed
Brandon Withnell oh shit. This can be confirmed if they coded it that way. By checking the museum after killing Silous for Dagon.
I’m guessing the bucket is a placeholder for something that ended up not being implemented
It just works
"I'll place the pieces on the alter, and Dagon should speak to us."
what could *possibly* go wrong.
I smell a mythic dawn build remastered.
Yes
i hope so!
Phillip Lopez no ur mom just qweefed
And so it came to be👀
"Your hands only"
*Hands you invitation*
You know, I just realized that owner might not have the best business strategy in mind, if he only invites specific people.
The real question is how do all the couriers know me without asking my name like I could wear a different mask over my face everyday and no one should know who I am but everyone does somehow.
Perhaps there’s a metaphysical property of all couriers in the multiverse. Perhaps Courier 6 from Fallout NV is an example of what happens when you piss one off
and as soon as i arrive at dawnstar, a freaking dragon attacks -.-
I felt that
Courier: I got a letter for you. YOUR hands only..
also Courier: *proceeds to read letter*
Nazeem is a mythic dawn cultist. ELDER SCROLLS 6 NAZEEM CONFIRMED
Fireball 7715 DO YOU GET TO OBLIVION VERY OFTEN
OH WAT AM I SAYING OF COURSE YOU DON'T
oF cOuRsE yOu DoN't.
do you end the septim dynasty very often? oh what am i saying of course you don't
I'll have you know there's no pussiiiiiiiiiiiie!
Imagine if the mythic dawn had been worshipping Sheogorath instead-then the imperial city would have been destroyed by cheese and flaming dogs instead...
Worth it!
YES!
Madness for the madgod. Cheese for the cheesethrone.
Destroy it?
Not really Uncle Sheo's style...
He probably would've driven the citizens to paint the entire city pink and make a goblin the emperor.
DO YOU MIND? I'm doing the fishstick,it's a very delicate state of mind!
I always found it funny that things like the razor or the Emperor are in Skyrim exactly when you need them. Like when you assassinate the Emperor, he happens to be in Skyrim or when you put the razor back together the pieces happen to be in Skyrim.
Ethan T. The emperor came to skyrim because you killed Bictoria Vicci his niece
I would think hiring assassins in Skyrim while the Emperor is in Elswyre would be counterproductive.
yeah it doesn't seem smart to hide all the pieces in the same country.
ViperVenom811 true!
This actually is explained. Forces like the Daedra and their artifacts just appear and disappear in history when needed. They seem to have some control over it.I wouldn't be surprised if Dagon let the dagger be disassembled on purpose. It's probably modelled after the One Ring, which holds similar powers.
This quest always felt conflicting to me, since my name is actually Silas.
Trilasent no it isnt
Amen The Great silence boomer
Do you happen to own a museum?
Disrespect the law, and you disrespect me
Riften Guard Oh please, we all know that you are in the pocket of the thieves guild.
Cole Wallace No lollygagging
Sean Flawless fuck the police comin straight from the underground raping me just cuz im brown
Bronoculars dont forget sithis
Bronoculars Thieves guild don't even have the money for that shit.
You should do more of this style of videos! It really brings out the lore to light!
Thanks Dae, we really appreciate the feedback C:
Dae Nysh :3
FudgeMuppet But this still kinda feels like Oxhorn. Not that it's bad but I'm just saying
FudgeMuppet Someone had to pick up Shoddycasts slack, glad it was y'all.
What lore? They scratched the surface of the lore concerning the Mythic Dawn. Could've told us about how Mankar Camoran was most likely a Dragonborn, how he was so powerful that he could wear the Amulet of Kings although not being a Septim, simply through manipulating it with magic. How he built his own paradise, or how he changed his own race.
Instead we get gameplay from a quest that's been out for 6 years and basically everybody with the slightest dedication to Skyrim has done already.
Definitely more of those would be appreciated. Fantastic job.
Thanks so much!!!
If you dual wield Mehrunes' Razor with another weapon, then constantly swing the Razor, you have a great chance of finishing the fight early. The more swings, the more likely the enchantment will activate, so it's a great weapon for Legendary difficulty.
Yesss finally a long ass lore video(not sarcasm I actually love them) thanks dudes!
Fun fact: if you burn the map in the cabinet it turns into a bucket :)
will the wonders of uncle sheo never cease?
It's a page from a book..Not a map.
PETER WILKINSON y tho
Derpper But it is a map to Dagon’s Oblivion Realm.
I'm sick of playing Skyrim... 300 hours... I just can't take it anymore. But you guys always make me want to play it all over again!
and here I was thinking that something was wrong with me... you're sick, my friend
I got skyrim the day it came out and I've been clocking in at least 10 hours a week and 30 at most.....
300+? Those are rookie numbers.
Leonardo Estrela
300 hours? That’s child’s play.
Only played skyrim once and i topped that by 20 hours
doing oxhorn type videos for skyrim
Exactly what I thought, did not even see the video yet but the title screams "OXHORN"
CharliCharmant you are very right
Chris Kopsch its like a mix of oxhorn and camelworks, i love it so much
Chris Kopsch and Oxhorn copied Shoddycast by that logic. Yes it is similar but still different in its own way.
And ThenthApple.. Except he actually did a few for Skyrim
I am glad to have played Skyrim, currently playing Oblivion to see the events of the Dagon invasion
can you do a build on a meridia worshiper please?
This is a lot like Oxhorn's videos, but I don't think that is a bad thing. Honestly, I think his way of storytelling in a lore heavy game works really well, and if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Well done, FudgeMuppet. I think you guys did well.
+Joshua The Unready Thanks so much Joshua :D
Yeah
I always love the courier going from "your hands only" to "I was just asked to hand them out to travelers"
What got me about the mythic dawn commentaries quest in oblivion is, that no one stood in front of that crypt at noon? Like... ever? Or if they did, they never said anything? Lol
Love how it’s called “the great capital of the Pale” and it’s legit like 8 buildings lol
I love learning about different lore! Please make several more videos like this, they're my favorite type of videos, and I personally love learning details I haven't previously known. Keep being awesome :3
Do you notice mythic DAWN and DAWNstar?! The parallels mmm so juicy
I'd like these a lot more than your traditional 5 minute format for lore/explanations.
I took all the commentaries for my collection :)
“I’ve got a letter for YOUR EYES ONLY. The museum owner asked me to hand these out to ANY TRAVELERS.” Pick a lane courier!
fuck this makes me want an Oblivion remaster so much more than i already did FML
Last time I was this early...
this joke didn't exist...
I don't know why but this was so tranquil and calm the thing I love most but is there's hardly any big Aussie channels I mean no doubt you guys are gonna get big but if I had to show an example of a good Aussie channel this would be it just remember to get proof that your an Aussie channel when you sign up for your play buttons they probably won't believe it if they have the option for it haha
"A little history first-"
UA-cam MUSIC IS YOUR PLACE FOR STREAMING MUSIC AND VIDEOS!
200 years past, 8 generations, 25 years is 1 generation. Is that an average life span?(25-30 years)[of course some can barely survive a few times, learn from mistakes, elf's live to be 400 years old, right??]
Say, if when Sylus fights you he won, well I know it would be game over. But for him would Dagon repair the razor or just summon the two Dremora to kill him? He would have just beaten the one Dagon had planned to make his champion and needed to fight for it.
Wait a minute.. if it has a chance to kill ANY target instantly except those 2 Mirrak and parth... Does that mean it can kill the 2 most brutally OP difficult bosses in the game as well? Karstaag, and The Ebony Warrior insteantly?... hmm...
The most interesting facet of this quest, IMO, is the provenance of that page of the Mysterium Xarxes. Consider:
1) The Xarxes probably would have been kept at Cloud Ruler Temple.
2) Those charcoaled edges don't look two hundred years old to me.
3) If you've never gone to Bloated Man's Grotto before ever setting foot in Falkreath, do it. Do it now. Because I think we might be looking at the ultimate strange-bedfellows scenario here.
I never understood why if your trying to keep something from become one agin if I was given a part of something like that I would throw it in a valcano and be done with it or just flush it down the toilet.
And the moment it left your sight, it would be promptly reclaimed by the Daedric Prince.
Jesus Christ the Mehrunes Dagon voice actor is god-like
This is incredible! Weird that I don't remember it like this, though. I remember having to go to three separate locations to get the pieces and having to kill a bunch of bandits and some forsworn.
Afterwards, I remember not even having the choice to spare Silus, he went full on offensive. Maybe it's because I'm playing a really old build, or I just remember it wrong.
You know that guy with the nazi flag up in his room who says he's just a "history buff?" Yeah, that guy...
Either way you go, completing the quest gives you a quickly refilling source for daedra hearts though.
"Duck, weave and dodge a few traps and we have the shards"
*gets hit by rapid fire arrows while saying so*
I just wish I could join the Mythic Dawn proper. I love those guys.
Imagine you use the Razor on Alduin and he instantly dies.
I just imagined you walking up to Alduin, poking him and him comically ragdolling
You should make a character with a extreme case split personality disorder we're at different times he or she from being a good person to a type of person that will kill pretty much anyone in sight The Evil Personality uses conjuration and destruction well the good side of the personality is a imperial or Stormcloak
can anyone tell me what spell and armor he is using in this?
6:12
Haha! Martin looks like he's posing for the picture.
I actualy tried saving poor Silas but the idiot ran right into the Daedras over and over....and over again to the point i just said....''you know what....i tried being the good guy here but it looks like you just want to die'....
I think km the only one who doesnt kill the guy. I like him lol he just wants to preserve history even the bad parts. he doesnt seem shady. so I often spare him.
plus Dagon sucks. why would I do his bidding?
As I was dreaming I heard the notification noise. I slowly got up and looked for my phone halve a sleep halve awake as the only thing keeping me from going back to sleep was the thought of a new fudgemuppet video.
How are you this powerful? Can someone explain this build??
You will never reach the truth
Me sees him walk to whiterun gate
Me: [expects loading screen]
Sees no loading screen
Me: [visible confusion to realisation]
Y'all can keep this series going on forever!!!
surprised you didn't do a save/load to show choosing the other option
Small correction: the minimum level on this quest is only 10, not 20. Otherwise great video.
You expect the descendents of the people who would protect fragments would pool their resources in order to prevent something like this.
Tfw your name is Silas
Silus just wanted to have a public collection. Not to worship dago. So he aint that bad of a guy
But what happens if you trash talk Dagon, "I will use the Razor as I see fit, Dagon"
Do one on the Telvanni. Not just from the Dragonborn dlc but from all the games.
Let's be honest. We all opened the cases at the museum and stole everything
Can you make a VIKING build. I feel it would fit nice with the environment of skyrim being fairly cold and brutal.
The viking could have 70% health but 30% stamina. So he can stay alive in the middle of a fight but still unleash devastating power attacks
I would recommend the *immersive weapons* mod as it gives double axes and I think that fits a viking well. But if you don't want any mods then you can find the best 2 handed *WARHAMMER* or *BATTLEAXE* you can. For armor I am not sure
I haven't bother to spend an hour writing backstory but If you do this build I think it would be pretty good
Will_enforcem I believe real vikings only wore armor they could afford and wore only clothes and a helmet(without horns) usually.
I know. I'm not really sure about apparel
Best Viking build would be a Nord with light armor and one-handed weapons/shield. Either axe or sword since Vikings used both. They never wore anything heavier than some chain mail and even that was rare. In the vanilla game, the closest you could get to their armor style would be either guards' armor or scaled armor.
I actually just finished this quest. My guy is generally good, and opted not to kill him. Dagon's lackeys did and I got a small inheritance.
After looking into the vampires of Morthal for the first time, every time I go back there it looks like random people’s eyes are glowing red until I get close to them to investigate.
I killed a dragon with full health with this dagger, it was hilarious
Where is fallout redemtion, lads.
John Skhai look at their patreon page. It tells u all about it. link in the description of this video
Max McGuigan Thank you.
I love to make new characters and roleplay as their champions
Okay Fudgemuppet, this style of video is GREAT! The whole "let's go to Dawnstar" thing... the whole aspect of having live gameplay to follow as we go to the museum... very professional! Keep that up!
On the other hand the shrine is a great place to farm up daedra hearts
this lore is the reason the elder scrolls are so freaking amazing!!
now I wanna play the game agaaiiiin
This was similar to camels detective series , and i LOVE IT both his detective series and this need to continue it gives great lore and some depth to quests and areas of the worlds in the elder scrolls that i just love to hear about and see how other interpret it
Really... A shaving accident with that thing will not be good for your health. Trust me.
I want a huge question I've been playing skyrim for like 1 year now. But I don't have mods or nothing just playing very old school classic. I want question did silus servide during the elder scrolls oblivion. We need question or answers. Did he really servide or mabey something very interesting, how did he obtain the half book of the xarxes. Maybe beseda and there will never tell their secrets. We dont actually don't know. Could be a mystery.
Which build is that shown in the video with the ice destruction spells?
It's nice to see a video longer than 6/7 minutes lads, more of that would be peachy
Definitely want more, hell it'd be great if you guys branched into oblivion and morrowind too
reminds me of the confederate flag situation
I hate how shit daedric artifacts are in Skyrim. "this dagger can change the world!" no it has a less than 2% chance of doing what all knives can do if you put them in the right places...
Side note: there’s a Stone of Barenziah on the alter in Dead Crone’s rock
The Mythic Dawn robes are ultimate drip. Can't get Psijic robes without mods or console iirc, so they're the next best thing.
OHHH SHIIT!! Funky cool Madena!
Level 41 and I haven't had a chance to do this quest. The courier hasn't came to me yet
Yes, great video! Please do more Lore, you guys are good at it!!! Very interesting, thanks
knew nothing about the Mythic Dawn but when i asked that dude a couple questions i knew this was a very bad so i cut his head off
I personally believe they shouldn't be forgotten, to forget history is to repeat it
Just finished this quest. All that work and Mehrunes Dagon still has one final test. Damn you hippie Dagon I'll use your razor the way I want.
The characters name is revan sarethi same as the TES D n D roleplay character
Almost destroyed the World? Not really. 'Changed' is a better word for what they did, but I do suppose this change would come through the act of destruction (both are Dagon's spheres of influence of course). But yeah, Dagon would probably just destroy everything, and his new world will be born "-in the refiners fire..." It seems the Mythic Dawn all tend to be misguided, and almost ignorant to truths of their reality on Nirn. Mankar Cammoran himself links certain planes or 'princedoms' of Oblivion to the wrong Daedric priest. He also says Nirn is the 'princedom of Lorkhan' also claiming him to be "Daedroth" which isn't entirely true because he still had a part to play in Nirns creation (even though it was through deception, and he and his heart would be destroyed at one point in the future) while also believing that Mehrunes Dagon (for some reason) has the sovereign right to rule and dominate the land of Nirn (which to Mankar Cammoran is just another plane of Oblivion, even though creatures from Oblivion have to be *summoned* from the Waters of Oblivion through conjuration, and Princes can't completey mannifest themselves (at their full strength) in mundus without the help of oblivion gates that 'can' exist even when the Dragon fires were lit, or the Amulet was shattered, but those gates were not for hoards of daedra or their princes to pass through and conquer Tamriel, usually it's for Men, Mer beastfolk etc. So if Nirn was already a plane of Oblivion, it shouldn't be that hard for a Daedric prince like Mehrunes Dagon to mannifest in without the need to shatter barriers by opening gates to Oblivion. Cammoran also mocks the Divines for being mortal and vulnerable, believing they have no claim to Nirn, not while the immortal Daedra exist. But the only reason they're mortal, the only reason there is a Tamriel, a Nirn, or a Mundus (as well as the mortal races living in all of these places) are because the Aedra agreed to play a part in it's creation. And while some Aedra fled, out of fear of being mortal (playing another big part in the creation of mundus/Nirn by creating the firmament) they still did more than the Daedra, and the 8 'original' Divines gave up their immortality just so nirn can continue to exist, and with the stars being tears in the fabric that seperates mundus from Aetherius, this still also gives legitamacey to Aedra that fled from mundus a claim to mundus (ironically). Daedra are the embodiment of change; good, bad, ugly etc. They're role in Nirn is not to hold sovereignty over it, even though many of the Daedric Princes want to. They act as forces of nature, evolution, and change overall. An influence of the lands of Nirn and its ever changing people. Mankar Cammoran was intelligent, devisive, and cunning, but he was still a misguided, evangelic madman, and a fool. Though he did change Tamriel forever, and toppled a dynasty. He was still a pawn for the Daedra who took advantage of his ignorance. Mehrunes Dagon may not have been able to conquer Tamriel, but he still changed it, as all Daedra are inclined on doing lol sorry for the damn novel (hopefully someone reads this and has some points they'd love to share 😅).
Want build are you using
Silus+Mehrunes Razor= My favorite dead thrall(Had to keep him around since I felt a little bad)
One of the funniest moments I had playing Skyrim was due to Mehrunes Razor. I dual wielded the blade against Alduin and when that item says it has a 1% chance to kill ANY foe with one hit, it means it! Swiped the blades one and "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" the fight was over. Anti-climatic as endings go but funny as fuck!
That... is a fugly ass courier.
Most TES Stories (quests) are bittersweet, Mess with the deity's, expect something to go wrong (especially the bad ones). I found a good sense in dealing with all of them "act as though they are wasting your time", thinking that I've had decidedly fewer bad ends at their expense and for my followers.
