One of the things I appreciate about your channel and this video in particular is that you have such unique book recommendations! Except for the classics I haven’t seen anyone talk about these books in any other video! You got me so excited and I will definitely pick some of the books up! ♥️🍁📚
Thank you so much! I’m so happy whenever I hear that someone found out about a book from one of my videos that they hadn’t heard of before. I hope you really enjoy the ones you pick up! 🧡📖
I bought 84 Charring Cross Rd. approximately 52/53 yrs. ago. It remains a treasured book for me. I would also recommend for Autumn, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. Jane Eyre excellent. My absolute all time fave is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I read it every 2/3 yrs in the Autumn. I have been in her home, Orchard House, in Concord, Massachusetts, I could give the tours.😊. I grew up in the very historic town of Lexington, Mass. 2 towns over. Great video! Just subscribed, thank you.
I really hope to read Little Women this year too - I’m saving it for Christmas time! It must be so special to be able to visit her home ☺️ Thanks so much for watching!
I need to read Shady Hollow. It needs to happen! Dreams Lie Beneath is the ultimate cozy fantasy for me!! I felt like I was walking through a misty, mountainous forest while reading it! Frankenstein and Jamaica Inn are two of my favourite books!
Do read the Shady Hollow series @miruamelizabethreads, I only picked them up because of these videos and I absolutely loved them! Which was your favourite @readerinareverie - I really liked the 2nd one.
If you really like small town cosy vibes but fancy a bit of a Halloween edge and slightly girlie not too complicated plot then I would recommend Cackle by Rachel Harrison - when I read it I loved the setting but wasn’t feeling the story quite so much but have thought about it a lot since so it would also be fun to see what you think of it. Another ‘witchy’ series I liked was Alice Hoffman’s Practical Magic/Rules of Magic series. Jamaica Inn was the first Du Maurier book I read and I loved it, I then read Frenchmen’s Creek and also enjoyed that, plus My Cousin Rachel, am yet to read Rebecca 😂 Really enjoyed 64 Charing Cross Road too, really charming. Currently waiting for Legends and Lattes from the library, hoping that will be cosy too Great video, Thank you
I think so! There’s nothing particularly “adult” in the content (in terms of violence/language etc.), other than that all of the main characters are adults, so it has that focus and perspective. Hope that helps!
Oh no 😭 September started out pretty warm here too, but has turned colder and wetter since about half way through the month. I hope October feels much more autumnal 🍂
Actually, I'm watching The Gilmore girls for the first time and I love it! I'm on season 4 and it really goes with autumn vibes...
👻🎃🍁

I just found your channel and I love it! 😀😀 so excited for your next video!

Totally resonate with your categories! Do you think the Shady Hollow books would be appropriate for middle schoolers?
I think so! There’s nothing particularly “adult” in the content (in terms of violence/language etc.), other than that all of the main characters are adults,
so it has that focus and perspective. Hope that helps!
I am so glad I found your channel! Love your content💜
☺️💛
These are the best recommendations for a fall lover!

That’s so lovely, make the most of it! The beach weather days here in Cornwall are definitely over! 😂

Ooh I’m glad to hear it! I’m looking forward to reading it!
