I can't help but smile every time I watch Greg, it's like he unwrapped his drum kit on a Christmas morning decades ago and the excitement never wore off.

Greg, you're the perfect example of a musician that EVERY band would carry around for years in a Tourbus, let alone on stage! Thank you for your energy and friendliness, and for the abysmal number of stories you can tell while respecting every musician you've ever played with!
I will never forget when I brought him to my country to give a clinic. As soon as we met we started talking about music and drums, he asked me what drummers I liked and if I liked Ringo, I told him that of course I'm a Beatles fan and he gave me a high five...the next day. He played like a beast and even sang Happy Birthday to my wife, showed me a Ringo birthday concert at Madison Square Garden on his iPhone while practicing rudiments on a pad... he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. , humble and with a great sense of humor. Thank you Gregg for visiting us in Panama 2011.
Gregg spreads such a powerful joy and happiness. I saw him with Toto in December 1995 in Switzerland and it was a blast. He played totally in the spirit of Jeff and Simon. Great memories. He is one of my favorite drummers, of course.
Gregg is a legend.ans such a genuine and humble guy. I can barely imagine how much fun could be play with 2 drums with Ringo! This man has such a huge music cluture!
What a career and still hitting it! His infectious enthusiasm and energy make for a great role model. Kenny Aronoff is another that made me take notice. Loved watching these highlights.
I was so lucky to see him in '86 with Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan and Diamond Dave. To this day, It's still the best show I've ever been to. Gregg did the on the outside solo. In my memory, his drum set seemed bigger. I wonder if there will ever be an official quality release of that show. I hope so. Gregg has done such great stuff and has such a fantastic passion for music.
I was fortunate to have seen that 1986 drum solo during the Eat 'Em and Smile tour. I was/am a guitarist that now dabbles in drums and I went to that show looking forward to seeing the greats Vai and Sheehan with Roth as I was a huge DLR era VH fan. I literally spent the whole show watching Gregg instead. His energy was infectious. I hadn't heard of him prior to that, but couldn't say enough about how great he was from that day on!
This is what most musicians need to do in order to be successful in music industry. Just be a jolly/friendly person and people will work with you. Respect is always there.
Wow, glad I figured out the left double bass pedal and hat technique on my own but glad other great drummers before me have used this technique too. Rock on Gregg!
His energy and love for music is as infectious as his grooves. We are blessed to have heard him in so many different ways in our time. Hope he keeps playing for another 200 years on repeat.
Apart from his playing it's always such a treat hearing Gregg talk and tell stories, watch him air drum, sing and show how much he loves and respects music and musicians....he's such an amazing guy, adorable cat!
Gregg is an awesome guy, his enthusiasm is contagious. Man makes me laugh out loud 🤣 9:06 "Dennis comes in.... WOO! Check out the bass drum... 😏 "🤣 All the best Gregg, you're a legend man 🥁👍
The way he spoke about Jeff and Simon, Greg is a legend himself, so cool to hear him speak like he was just a normal drummer guy. A drummers drummer! This was great!
What a KILLER compilation. After seeing Gregg last summer with Ringo for the first time he’s risen to the top of my modern day drum heroes. Classy, professional, chops for days, and of course, the voice of Winnie the Pooh. What more could you ask for??
Greg is one of the greats - if all he had played on and toured was "Eat em and smile" he'd be a drum God - there has never been a rock record to top that one or any musician to top any of those guys on their instruments, they were all incredible players and all individually very unique and cool dudes.
He clearly enjoys what he does, and when you enjoy what you do, you want to do it better! The different styles too!, learning from each other, sharing ideas, all kind of what Neil Peart done. Brilliant to see! Musicians who constantly develop, grow and enjoy their craft.
I don't know how you get it all done Gregg man but you are the one we all wish we could jam like and with and how! Thank you man - inspirational is understating what you bring to the art of drumming brother - peace to you.
I saw Greg with Maynard 5/5/83 at Jasper Texas High School. Talked to him during intermission. I had just bough a Yamaha Tour Series kit. I saw that he was playing a Yamaha set similar to mine & asked him about it, of course he said his was a Recording Series..Awesome concert.
Holy cow! I play drums n many times I talk like him, fast n a story teller but he's telling all true stuff. You can tell he's not bragging he's just wants the audience to know the great story he went through !!! I heard many times drummers are just different. Great to see that. If I hopped on my drums I woulda fallen.
love GB! as a Gen Xer he is one of my favorite drummers growing up! and yes, I saw him at one of the BR Memorial scholarships back in day. Made me want to play my drums even more. Just like this video! Thank you.
I love Gregg's interpretation of "Rosanna". I got to see Matt B. with Elton a few years ago. These dudes are so stinkin' talented!!!! And, Gregg is such a humble sort. ❤❤
Great reminder at the end what an amazing guitarist we have in Steve Luthaker. I saw him alongside Satch and Vai on a G4 tour and he was every bit as good, and his song choices were more tasteful and enjoyable. Met him briefly before the gig and he was super-pleasant. Total Pro.
I had the privilege of taking lessons from Greg when my amazing wife arranged lessons through his Mapex rep in 2006! Best gift ever! Nicest guy I ever met. No offense to Dom F, Steve Smith, and all the other greats I had the opportunity to meet and learn from. Greg, you ROCK! Remember the lobsters?
I saw Gregg with Toto....just grateful that they were there. Drumming was fine, and that's a big Toto expectation. My thought at the time was that Gregg was a little heavy on the kick, but now I've realised that's one of his strengths.
Greg can play anything at any time he wants, but he is "learning"! I had the pleasure of seeing him live with Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey, wow what musicianship!!

Love Gregg Bissonette - the more I see of him, the more I appreciate his versatility and musicality! He is fantastic!
I love Gregg. Relentlessly positive, and such an unapologetic fanboy of his heroes. And an incredible & versatile drummer on top of it all!
This is a man who LOVES what he does! Also that positivity is infectious. So complimentary of the other musicians

This was GREAT! Gregg not only is a piece of musical history, but he embodies the spirit of it, that joy we all felt when we first started playing.
Dude is the music fan who never stopped being a fan just bc he got to do it for a living!
He is living the dream and loving it. You can tell he is having a blast!
He's one of the best drummers in the business for a reason. such a complete and genuinely nice professional.
Very well put
There are thousands of great drummers, but I consider Greg Bissonette in the top 5 in the world.
The fact he remembers everything. The dude is amazing. Drumeo does it again. Great video. Mad energy in this guy
Gregg's happiness and enthusiasm is infectious!

On stage with Dennis Chambers and Louie Bellson, and excited like it's a bounce house. LOVE Gregg!
His enthusiasm is exhausting! What great guy and what a great drummer.
What a career and still hitting it! His infectious enthusiasm and energy make for a great role model. Kenny Aronoff is another that made me take notice. Loved watching these highlights.
Thank you Gregg. Your enthusiasm rubbed off on me during a Leeds clinic 20yrs back. The Copeland thing you did was phenomenal. I'll never forget it 🙏
The range of styles he can play is truly amazing. What a drummer.
Such a diverse portfolio of bands and musicians! Absolutely incredible artist!
How can you not love Greg's energy and passion for music...Love everything about the guy!
Gregg should be a recurring guest on the show. He's so enthusiastic.
Gregg!!!!!!!!! It’s always so good to see you.
Insane resume! :) and he's still so friggin excited about music. What a legend.
Greg, speak with his heart ! Great drummer
The nicest guy in the music business - he’s been a great role model to me as both a player and a person 🙏

For anyone who hasn't seen it, check out his interview with Rick Beato.
Yesterday it was 32 years since Jeff Porcaro passed.... Jeez. Well, Gregg is still alive and kicking!
Hasn't been on earth for the last 32 years yet he's still the most recorded drummer of all time. What a ledgend!
I think that record is actually still held by Hal Blaine. Could be wrong
One of my favorite players he comes across as a really nice guy and man hes a fantastic drummer
I could listen to this guy sound out and explain grooves all day.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I can too and I dont play drums. His excitement is soooo infectious. Dudes a treasure

Gregg is the consummate professional. A monster talent that has seen it all, yet retains a down to earth familiarity we can all relate to.
