How EXCITING!! My husband found y’all’s channel! We just moved to the Northern Woods of Maine this past August in 2021 from Texas!! So far only have 9 ducks, but we want to get some special sheep, geese, chickens, and pea fowl! Lol! So excited to get to watch y’all’s experience in the same area we are in!! Thank you for making this channel!! 💜💜
I just found your channel.. Looks very interesting. My wife and I are about to become empty nesters. We plan to buy land and setup a small homestead property in Washington County ME within a couple of years.
I especially like the part where you’re kicking your dog I can’t stop laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂 but in all honesty go y’all! We are about to buy 75 acres in Maine and start our own!
It does look like we are kicking her 😳, but in actuality, we are trying to kick her ball for her but she's too fast and catches it before the ball actually goes anywhere so we have to resort to throwing it for her to leave us alone for 2 secs to film 😂😂😂

My partner grew up with one parent in Maine and one in New Hampshire and we love heading back east to visit his family and enjoy the area. Our dream is to homestead one day...still deciding Michigan or out east!

Have you had your property tested for PFAS? Was it used for farmland before you bought it? So many farmers had water and soil contamination from DDT and other residual chemicals the government gave to farmers for years. Its on youtube… and in the news. The state will test your soil and water for you.

If you're growing outside only, it's a pretty short season, but with a good greenhouse, you can easily extend the season by a couple months or so! But we grow all sorts of vegetables here!
Thanks so much for the response , my family and I are considering a relocation to Maine for more homesteading opportunity , we currently homestead in New Jersey but it is just not a long term place to be considering tax/laws . Does Maine have many counties with unrestricted land ? Could you buy land and build your own barn/ cabin home ? Again thank you for the info !

Off grid living in northern maine is not for the faint of heart. Been off grid in northern maine going on 4 yrs
